Position Description
The team is responsible for the development of a massive travel distribution platform. It services upwards of 50 million pageviews/month and is comprised of two applications: a high-volume, high-availability middleware with connectivity to multiple global partners and an eCommerce web platform running more than 50, very popular, travel websites.
The web platform is being rebuilt from the ground up in Java, as part of migration from legacy technologies. The Senior Java Developer will architect, design, and implement components of these applications. For the right individual, this is a chance to get in on the ground floor of a huge eCommerce effort and influence the architecture and design of a next generation application while learning what works and doesn’t work at this scale.
