Receive/separate/complete secondary parts/units and complete operational work according to standard procedures.

Semiconductor Maintenance Technician (Canton)

Opening for part-time maintenance technician/contractor.

Responsible for correctly maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex semiconductor wafer processing equipment to achieve manufacturing process yield and productivity goals for Photolithography equipment like front and backside alignment tools, coater, plasma resist stripper and oxide/nitride/silicon etchers. Also must have experience repairing equipment like oxidation/LPCVD/diffusion furnaces, metal evaporator and related equipment and/or Semitool wafer cleaning systems. Experience and knowledge required in the general maintenance of equipment used in semiconductor wafer processing.
Provide a level of equipment maintenance support that will result in improved machine availability and performance, and manage equipment resources to improve equipment management indices, such as cycle time and cost of ownership.
Anticipate and diagnose problems, perform scheduled maintenance procedures, record machine status and requirements, deal with suppliers by ordering parts and ensuring spare parts availability. A knowledge of acid and chemical disposal is necessary.

Resolve inspection issues regarding measurement credibility problems, geometric tolerance and positioning interpretation to assure conformity of parts to Metso Specifications. Lead by example with continuous process improvement and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain the skills needed to lead the metrology department forward, including personal and staff development as applicable to support the evolving needs of the business.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field is required and demonstrated proficiency within the quality discipline.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
• Four years experience in a manufacturing environment and a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity.
