She has white splotches on her feet and chest and she loves to run against your feet. What would you do if you knew your neighbor was extremely irate and difficult to talk to, never walked their 10 year old dog (resorting to the yard treatment), and let it cry and whimper wanting to be let in...yet just ignored it and left the dog alone outside despite rain or cold to cry and whimper....
I have left a note (this led to me finding out how Irate and defensive the neighbor is...)
I have called the MSPCA law enforcement (I'm sure they stopped by, but I'm also sure the neighbor was irate and defensive to them)...
It is breaking my heart to hear this poor dog cry and cry and cry.... I'm sooooo tempted to steal it and rehome it, if I only had a place to rehome her...

1) A girl out of the Boston area, young 20's, visibly pregnant, wears glasses, often travels w/ her Mom, dark haired sister or her young kids/ all are out of the Quincy/Dorchester/Framigham area but lie about their names and towns
2) Same age another girl, out of Fall River, often w/ her Mom or friends
Both these scumbags collect free/cheap animals like kittens and puppies, promising a great home, then they go and SELL them, posting them online within hours. Reports from people who have bought animals from them are that the animals are flea infested, have worms, and often are underfed.
These SCAMMERS give fake names and towns...be sure to ask to see ID of ANYONE adopting your animals, write it down. 'Google'
their names, #s and email addys to see if they have lots of animals for sale online- although these people, knowing what they are doing is ILLEGAL as they have no licenses to operate a pet hsop or recsue, often have MANY fake emails and change their #s often, as people who have given them or adopted form them become VERY angry when they realize the ILLEGAL BUSINESS they are operating.
Insist on picking up the animal you adopt form them at their house, and again, CHECK IDS to get their real names and addresses- they are always VERY eager to meet in parking lots so you can't find them again- BUYERS/REHOMERS BEWARE!

I got him when he was 8 weeks old and was dying. When I got him he had ear mites so bad that it looked like he had coffee grinds in his ears and he had a bad respiratory cold and was only 1-2 pounds. I brought him to the vet and nursed him back to health even though the vet even said don't be discouraged if he died. It was a lot of work and a lot of money but worth every penny.
Now he is 2 years old and happy and healthy. He is a very shy cat it takes a while for him to get to know you. He knows his name very well. His name is Lucky and he is a black tuxedo kitty. He has triple paws front and back. He is very affectionate and talkative. He would probably do best in a house hold with no children or chaos. He startles easy. As of now he is an out/ in door kitty. He roams around as he pleases. I have to find him a new home because my new baby is allergic to him and he likes to sleep in his roomand I have tried to keep him out. But this isn't working so I have to make this decisions which breaks my heart.
I am asking an adoption fee of $20 to make sure he goes to a forever, safe home and hopefully once in a while be updated on how he is doing. I really don't want to bring him to a shelter, he won't have a chance.

Ok so here is the situation.....we are supposed to get a beautiful puppy today......but the owners are shipping her. The husband just called our house and my husband could barely understand him. I then proceeded to write an e-mail to his wife. I guess to get to the point they are paying the shipping fees and all they ask of us is to pay the 85 dollars for the crate fee! When the husband called his number showed up as a cambridge #.
We are nervous and we would loooove to have this puppy! They say they just moved to Camaroon, Bameda(I might have spelled that wrong). We just need some REAL and HONEST advice!

I found a momma cat with her 5 kittens in a friends back yard 9 wks ago.
i couldn't just leave them there so i took everyone home with me. unfortunately one of the kittens had to be put down as he was very ill.
I decided to try & rehome them from my house instead of turning them over to a shelter in fear that they would all get put down.
I brought them to my vet the other day, thinking i was getting all of them in for one office visit , I thought it would be a good idea to get the momma tested for feline diseases. She came back positive for the FIV. My original plan with her was to get her fixed and release her back outside as my friends neighbors take care of the neighborhood strays. Since she came back positive i can not put her back outside due to the risk of other cats getting infected from possible fighting.
I can't keep her since i have 2 cats of my own & they don't get along very well.
It seems as though she once had a home & someone left her behind cuz she is very friendly & likes to just do her own thing.
I am really hoping and praying that there is someone out there who may already have a FIV positive cat and would like to have an addition or someone who would like to spend their time giving a perfectly good cat a new home with lots of love and affection!
she would have to be an indoor cat ALWAYS and she can live a long happy life!
Unfortunately my only option is to put momma cat down if i can't find her a new forever home!!!!! so please open your heart and your mind to this girl.
I also have 2 kittens left. i have done some research and it is very likely that the kittens are healthy as it is rare for FIV to be transfered to them from mom. FIV is passed from biting, saliva directly into the blood stream.

I truly regret to inform you that your pet was struck and killed around 8:30-9:00pm last night. I was not witness to the accident but I did stopped upon noticing the body and I can assure you that the death was as immediate and clean as it could be under such circumstances. The life was simply knocked out of it and suffering was minimal to non-existent. I took the body of your cat, for the purpose of a living creature's dignity, and I am releasing it to Tewksbury Animal Control today. It has a flea collar on but there was no sign of an identifying collar at the scene so if you do see this posting please contact Tewksbury Animal Control (978-640-4395) if you wish to dispose of/bury the remains of your pet yourself. I am profoundly sorry for your loss.

Adopting rescue kittens /cats is great from many points of view. Many of these cats are quite beautiful and do not suffer from overbreeding problems. Some were just abandoned when their owners tired of them. We know that there are a lot of monitors on this board who flag for removal any listing that post a $ figure for the adoption fee. Generally, they are right. If someone is intentionally or even neglectfully breeding, he/she are contributing to the problem of the overpopulation of cats. Rescue groups are trying their best to remedy this situation. New England has done fairly well when we compare against other parts of the country; but this past year these rescue groups are beyond their capacity to contain the problem, so they rely on ordinary citizens who get no funding for their efforts and costs but love cats and hope to find loving homes for as many as possible. Cats that are truly feral are spayed, given shots, and kept a few days to recover; then they are released back in the area from which they came. The costs are out-of-pocket and considerable time is spent for these efforts. Nonetheless, we will continue as long as possible and hope that others might be inclined to help to whatever extent they can
