So get this - a friend of mine and I went to the buttery for dinner tonight - and we were seated in the bar area - my friend who has been having back pain complained to me that the seats were too high and he would rather sit somewhere else - so he went to get us a new table - meanwhile - we had been seated next to 3 lesbians and a baby - I saw the baby when I took my seat in the bar area - but that's it - saw the baby... So we were given a new seat, in the lower section of the restaurant where there are normal hight tables - so when i got up to leave - one of the lesbians says to me - "Enjoy your dinner" so i replied - ,"Thanks you too".

About 25 minutes later, my friend and I were sitting downstairs enjoying our drink, and finalizing our dinner options - when one of these lesbians comes up and speak into my ear - " I hope my well behaved daughter didn't ruin your dinner" HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - ISSUES?????????????????? WHAT THE FUCK???? Crazy lesbians, "have another martini, btw" think that every thing revolves around them???????? we moved because we couldn't sit there - obviously the personal and emotional issues are deep with these 3 women that they thought we moved because of the baby??????????????? and the SHE was so fucking rude ( you know who you fucking are) to come downstairs and tell me in my ear that your baby is a well behaved baby so you hope we enjoyed our dinner??? Dude that woman you're talking about is no enigma. There are lots of us who intentionally skip high school reunions and don't do social networking sites. Me? There's only about a dozen or so other people that I would want to see there, and who knows if they went. So, this is the scoop.

Again, homeless shelters are segregated. They don't put families even at the same addresses as the men! Men are not allowed in the family shelters! Men and women are totally separated as well, and it's rare that they are at the same address, but are in some cases.

Well I'm glad you're concearned about same sex rape at homeless shelters, now that I mentioned it. I've never in my life seen a news report or any statistic on it, but again, I'm glad you have such a high concearn about this nonexistant problem.

Well then let's clear out some beds. Make marijuana legal, and imediately release all people serving time for marijuana offenses (if they are also serving a sentance for selling hard drugs or a violent crime they need to serve those sentences, and marijuana is no worse that beer, you could actually make a case that beer is WORSE for society than weed). And for anyone serving time for possession of a "hard drug" commute their sentance and mandate they are enrolled in a inpatient treatment program. held until they are clean (What would you rather pay for? 12-18 months for a heroin addict to be in treatment, and get him off the junk so that he can be released and try to rebuild him life, of 5 years in a prison cell to be released to just go out and find some junk and end up right back in prison? Also you get the addicts off the junk you decrease the demand for the junk and reduce the number of people selling coke, meth and heroin) This will free up plenty of space in prison for rapists.

I was once good friends with this unmarried couple. She was divorced with two kids, her ex took very good car of her and the kids. Gave her the house paid for, plenty of support. She hooked up with a younger guy who she had build a room in her basement which she rented out to another guy. Her live in boyfriend drank and smoked and went through a six pack and a pack of smokes every day. Her constant complaint was that she had to buy this guy a six pack every ay and a pack of smokes and how she just couldn't afford it. I was perplexed because the guy had a decent job and was wondering why she gave him money for his beer and cigarettes then it dawned on me and I was incredulous.

I said "Oh, he turns over his whole check to you... so when you give him back some for beer and cigarettes it's like it's your money... I really had no idea. She never complained in front of me again. She was working three guys for good amounts of money. The one that got away the cheapest was the one renting the room. All she could talk about was how worthless they all were... Incredible, just incredible.

MIL Planning "Confrontation"...

ok so you do know that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar...so here are a couple of my ideas.

Idea 1 - People like your mil are actually easy to deal with. All you have to do is agree with them. (It's fun to do too,..they never know how to react) First, be nice to her throughout dinner, and when she says something..just say...."Ohhh, I KNOW....I can't believe that happened either. It's just not right they wouldn't refund us and we were sooooo excited to give that to you....but I didn'r realize it bothered you...I don't know what to do. Oh, well, what if you pick out your own x-mas present this year.....anything you want.....and instead of giving us anything, you just keep that gift for you! No, really, we don't mind!" Simply smile, stand up, turn to your hubby, and ask him what he thinks..and let him take it from there. Now leave the room and pretend to do something important.

Idea 2 - Never let em see you sweat. It's your house, your dinner, your family. When she confronts you, give her a simple stare and say that you wished she could have gone to her shows too. Ask her if she would like another glass of wine. The end.

Idea 3 - Talk with hubby b4 Thanksgiving. Tell him that if she brings up the subject, you are going to leave the room and not come back. Tell him to deal with it b4 then. It's not up to you to confront your MIL. So don't.

Hi There.

Being a former "drug addict" and being clean now for about 2 years I wanted to offer some advice. First do not believe him when he states that "He's just going through a tough time. Things will get better once he gets a job" or what not. Crack is a very very addictive drug and it has nothing, repeat, nothing to do with a job. When I was addicted to it I did not care about ANYTHING else but getting high. I lived for it. When I was using my mind was going on how I was going to get more money for the next time. If he is also using pills and I am assuming drinking as well- He is just using anything and everything to get out of his head.

One thing you might able to do (but requires you to talk with him) is call him out on it. Explain to him you understand where he is at and if he wants to blow some money on this shit then by all means...Go for it. But talk with him about investing some of the money for the future (in something that could be somewhat difficult to withdrawl) because you both know that this is not the way he is going to want to live for the rest of his life. This may/may not work out. In his state of mind he just wants his money so he can go use for the next month without anyone giving him any bullshit.

In the end (like my family did) you may have to cut him off from your life. It maybe the hardest thing to do but he is not in his right mind and does not care about anything/anybody other than himself and the drugs. I have assumed you have spoken about detox and he wants nothing to do with it. Most users don't until they hit their bottom.

I did several horrific things that landed me in detox, including stealing money from my 81 y/o grandmother. (I am sure I will get "flagged" or someone is going to call me silly names. Feel free ;)
I believe that to be my lowest point when I was holding her c/c in my hand going to wire money to my dealer. I remember that sickening feeling in my soul-but, but I did it anyway. When your in the hands of drugs there are no rules. There are no morals. It's just about getting high. I have since then paid back my debts and made peace with my family. But I will never forget my sister calling me in detox, crying, stating she just wanted her sister back. I had no answer for her at the time because I did not even know how I got to that point. We don't realize the people were hurting while we are using. Again it's a very selfish disease and it's all bout the person using.

I hope this helps a little. I also hope he finds his way out.
