I have two super 8mm sound projectors for sale. I will sell them separately or as part of a larger lot of projectors and films that I currently have for sale. These projectors are both in great working order, though they haven't been used in some time and may require some cleaning.

1. Elmo Sound ST 1200: This is the top of the top for super 8mm projectors. You won't find a nicer machine than this one. Comes with 1200' take up reel, carrying case, and power cord. Price: $450. See the top photos below.

2. Chinon Sound SP-330 MV: This is an entry level projector that works well and has an appealing hum. Comes with a 400' take up reel and power cord. Price: $50. See the bottom photos.

Ciro Super 8mm Film Guillotine Tape Splicer (Boulder CO) $50

Ciro Super 8 Guillotine Tape Splicer

Here it is: the Rolls Royce of tape splicers! Ciro makes professional splicers for 35mm and 16mm. Nothing is worse than watching your film jump with a loud, chunky splice through your projector. The Ciro tape splicer can mean the difference between your projects looking like professional films or home movies. Here's why:
• Invisible Splices. Many cheaper splicers use an "S" cut which cuts into two frames of film and is highly visible when projected. The Ciro cuts on the frame line, which effectively hides the splice. Plus, both side edges of the tape align between the frames.
• No mismatched perfs. The Ciro punches precise holes in the tape, so you don't have to struggle trying to align tiny 8mm perforations.
• No lost film frames. With cement splices, if you make a mistake, you've lost frames. The Ciro allows you to change your edits without losing frames.

Super 8mm Film Treasure Trove (Science Fiction and Horror Lot) (Boulder CO) $650

You will be hard pressed to find a better collection of rare vintage sci fi and fantasy films on super 8mm. This is an instance collection of classics. All films are in very good or better condition. B&W films should have good contrast and most of the color films retain their color very well. There may be some exceptions, but I don’t have time to screen them all to find out. I assure you, however, that the collector who owned these films only purchased items that were described as being in the very best condition with respect to color and contrast. All have sound unless otherwise noted.

This lot includes nine (9) classic sci-fi and horror films on super 8mm:

1. The Vampire Bat (1932) starring Fay Wray (1x800 reel)

2. White Zombie (1932) starring Bela Lugosi (1x1200 reel)

3. Son of Kong (1933), the sequel to the classic King Kong (4x400 reels)

4. War of the Worlds (1953), the first film version of this H.G. Wells story (1x1200 reel)

5. Satan’s Satellites (1953), a very rare feature-length release of a sci-fi serial entitled Zombies of the Stratosphere, featuring a young Leonard Nemoy! (3x400 reels and 1x200 reel)

6. Seventh Voyage of Sinbad (1953), the Ray Harryhausen epic (1x800 reels). Note that this is not the full feature, but the four short excerpts spliced together.

7. Beast from Haunted Cave (1959), a rare and gruesome thriller (1x1200 reel)

8. One Million Years BC (1969), the best excerpts from a Ray Harryhausen dinosaur film starring Rachel Welch (1x600 reel). The second half of this film has faded to red.

9. Clash of the Titans (1981), Ray Harryhausen’s last major film (1x800 reel)

and one more.

Super 8mm Film Treasure Trove (vintage cartoons) (Boulder CO) $350

For sale is a treasure trove of vintage super 8mm cartoons, including some very rare and controversial shorts made in the 1940s and 1950s. Sold as a lot only. All films are in very good or better condition with good color retention. There may be some exceptions but I don't have time to screen them all to find out. I assure you, however, that the collector to whom they belonged only purchased films that were described as being in the very best condition with respect to color and contrast. All have sound unless otherwise noted. You would be hard pressed to find a better super 8mm vintage cartoon collection of this quality at this price.

This lot of ten (10) super 8mm cartoons includes the following:

1. Leo Schlesinger Presents Bugs Bunny (dir. R. Clampett, 1942): Short cartoon (2:46) produced soon after Pearl Harbor (probably February 1942) to promote the sale of War Bonds. Bugs appears in blackface in a song and dance routine. Alternate titles include: Any Bonds Today? and Bugs Bunny Bonds Rally.

2. Fresh Hare (dir. I. Freleng, 1942). Final scene of Bugs Bunny, Elmer and the mounties singing “Camptown Ladies” in blackface.

3. Coal Black and De Sebben Dwarfs (dir. R. Clampett, 1943). Bob Clampett’s jazzy parody of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with a black cast of characters. One of the infamous “Censored 11.”

4. Corny Concerto (dir. R. Clampett, 1943). Bob Clampett’s parody of Disney’s Fantasia; one of only two cartoons to feature Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig together onscreen.

5. Fifth Column Mouse (dir. I. Freleng, c. 1945). A cat tricks a mouse into helping him enslave his fellow mice in this WW2-themed cartoon.

6. Jumpin’ Jupiter (dir. Chuck Jones, 1953). Porky Pig and Sylvester have a close encounter with aliens in this excellent Derann print. Retains the scene where Porky mistakes an alien for an Indian, referring to “rugs and trinkets” and “friendly Navajo.”

7. Sahara Hare (dir. I. Freleng, 1955). Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam and a cameo by Daffy Duck in this foreign legion-themed cartoon with lots of camel-related violence.

This lot also includes three Fleischer Superman cartoons from the 1940s, one of which (The Bulleteers) is silent: Mechanical Monsters; The Mummy Strikes; and The Bulleteers.

Antique Mason Milk Glass Jar Lids (Boulder County )

I have just inherited three distinctly genuine, porcelain milk glass jar lids. After researching antique websites, I found out that these lids were created in 1869 by Lewis Boyd for "an improved mode of preventing corrosion in metallic caps" i.e. the glass or "porcelain" lining. This innovation kept food from coming in contact with the zinc in the screw caps of canned jars. They stopped creating these milk glass jar lids around the 1930's, and since then have become increasingly rare.

Now, I am not a bottle collector, clearly-if I am researching this information online, but if there is a patron online that is an avid bottle collector, and is interested in purchasing these milk glass jar lids, then please reply back to me via the e-mail address that Craigslist has supplied to me above, and I would be more than happy to negotiate a price.

This spectacular first-ever set includes not only four Krugerrand Proofs, it also contains a specially struck one-year-only commemorative Proof featuring a "Millennium Springbok" design". A brief history...
First struck in 1967, the Krugerrand is considered by many to be the world's premier gold coin issue. It is coveted by collectors worldwide and has become the gold coin series by which all others are judged. The obverse depicts the bust of President Paul Kruger, who was President of the ZAR (the previous Transvaal province of South Africa - now Gauteng) when the Witwatersrand gold was discovered in 1886. The design on the reverse depicts a prancing Springbok. While regular-issue Krugerrands are struck in large quantities for worldwide distribution each year, only a limited number are struck in stunning Proof condition. Proof is struck by a special minting process that requires much more time and attention than do regular issues. The result is one of the most magnificent and desirable coins in the world! This Fire Engine has no markings on it, exhausted research has brought me no luck until I showed it to a Fire Marshall who suspects that it may be 1920's made overseas worth thousands of dollars.
