Boulder Snowboarding Group (Boulder, CO)
Across Colorado, snowboarders of all abilities are hitting the slopes to shred some of the best mountain terrain in the U.S. Having the Colorado Rocky Mountains at your back door can’t get much better! However, even with the mountains this close, there are some riders who don't make it up on the hill as much as they would like, whether the excuse is lack of transportation or having to shred the epic snow alone. That’s where we come in!
The Boulder Snowboarding Group (B.S.G.) is a dedicated group of riders who strive to get as many people on the slope as possible. By offering ride shares, snowboard training, avalanche classes, weekend get-a-ways, a even a share house...we ensure you never ride alone again. Founded in September 2008, the group has grown drastically becoming the largest snowboarding group in Colorado. As the BSG is growing steadily each day the group is become that much better. The BSG accommodates snowboarders of all skill levels so we encourage you to join and spread the word to all your friends!
Only three conditions apply:
1.) You are a snowboarder (sorry no skiers allowed)
2.) You are 21 or older.
3.) You need to sign up for the group (don't worry it's totally free)

- Eating Disorders Support Group (Boulder)
Currently looking for adults, male and female, at any age with eating disorders to participate in a free member-run support group. No weigh-in's, no dues or fees, and no meal plans. Just adults with eating disorders, providing compassion, support and empathy to others with the similar issues. The meeting will take place on a weekly basis (in the evening), and most likely take place at the local hospital, library or community center where space is available. The location is not set currently, but will take place in Boulder. Those from surrounding areas are encouraged to join, for this is not limited to Boulder residents only. This is a great opportunity for those who suffer from ED to get help. If you are interested in joining the support group, or if you have a friend or family member who may benefit from group therapy, please send an email to the address listed above. Please include your first name, what availability you have during the week (in the afternoon or evening), and anymore additional information you would like to include. This group is going to stay fairly small, reaching a limit of ten or twelve members at the maximum. So, you need not worry about a large group setting.
The first step towards support is always the toughest, and you may be struggling with the idea of opening up to new people. You're not required to share anything at our meetings, and if you come just to listen to others speak, that is perfectly fine. We're want to foster a comforting and peaceful environment, so that everyone who attends feels open and free from judgment.

Disabled Women's Support Group (Boulder County)
This group is for professional women who have found themselves physically compromised during their lives and are trying to deal with the effects of feeling different in a physically homogenous world. We focus on support, self-advocacy, collaborative learning and competency building. The group provides a safe place for dropping our "Supergimp" facade and allows us to access ourselves more fully in our relationship to our physical abilities.
There is no fee for attendance and transportation is available. Ordinarily we meet from 1-3 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, however, our next meeting is scheduled for December 23, 1-3 pm. For more information, contact Karen at jaywayne@mindspring.com. Hope to see you at our next meeting (Dec. 23, 1-3 pm)!
Spiritual/Mindfulness Group for Non-Joiners (Lafayette)
Are you dedicated to inner-growth, to waking up in your life and living more from kindness, compassion, love and clarity yet find groups, organizations, or more traditional forms of practice aren’t for you? Me too. Given a disinclination towards joining organized groups (be it Zen, Shambhala, whatnot), even while having deep appreciation for such, I recognize the usefulness and beauty of meeting with others who are on a path, who are working for greater clarity, openness, kindness and love.
So, I’m starting a group for non-joiners, for those that are dedicated to inner-work and growth who follow an unconventional path. And even if you have a conventional practice but want to explore alternative and/or more individual approaches to engaging in inner-work, you are welcome to check us out.
A bit about me. I’ve had a mindfulness practice for over 35 years, have been a teacher of Creative Writing and Poetry for about 16 years and am a psychotherapist (recently graduated from Naropa’s Contemplative Psych. program). I’ve been dedicated to self-inquiry for a long time and have used many different tools toward that end: meditation practice, dream work, martial arts, writing, interpersonal relationships as path, the like. At core, I’d say that an abiding curiosity about life, myself and others is what has sustained my particular path.
Anyone interested in attending, let’s meet and discuss.

Here are some comments from our amazing campers:
I have experienced amazing results through boot camp & am a big "evangelist" of the program. I've lost close to 30 pounds, gone down at least a size, and am in the best shape of my life at 40. I've also lost quite a few inches (need to measure again!) and fat percentage points. I have developed good relations with Jenn and other folks in boot camp. If I miss a class, they know it and are concerned. We laugh together and can push each other to a new level.
Liz L
“I have noticed changes - my clothes are all too big, my endurance is greater, and I have tons of energy. It was much harder than other fitness classes I've taken, but in a good way. I used muscles I haven't used in a LONG time.”
Melissa A
"I plan to keep taking classes until you don't offer them anymore. They have changed my life, my body and my lifestyle. I am very grateful. This class has done more for my body than all of the sports I have played in the past so I am not quitting anytime soon."

This is a homegrown Pub Quiz modeled after those in Ireland and the UK.
What is a Pub Quiz? Good question, find out more here. Or read about us in Westword or The Rocky Mountain News.
Our quizzes cover everything from celebrities in trouble to local lore to bad television. You can get a feel for the questions we ask by playing a sample round here.
We’re the only pub quiz that has audio questions: "Name that Tune,” and one comprised of soundbites from movies and TV.
Play in teams of up to six or by yourself if you're some kind of savant.
If you want to play but don’t have a team, come anyway. We can usually get lone players recruited onto an existing team. Others have had success wrangling teammates on the Strictly Platonic section of Craigslist
The Bonus Email Question is good for a free prize. Win anything from this...to this. Sign up for our email list on our website.
Winning team gets street cred, bar cash and other prizes depending on the venue. Bonus Questions for free pints are sprinkled throughout the quiz.
You don’t have to be a trivia God to enjoy the quiz. Since you’re playing on a team, the collective knowledge base makes for more fun, less pressure. It’s not Final Jeopardy.

Former Seattle & New England Boulderites!
Hey this is a brand new group to create friendships from our former places of abode! If you are from Seattle area, or from any where in New England and would like to find fellow Seattlites or New Englanders to become close friends with, than this is the group for you!
I am a former Seattlite and New Englander all in one! I am 45 years old, single/gay dad of a 16 year old. I just recently moved here, I go to the Sunday Evening Eats club located here in the groups list. I love them tremendously, but I would like to do other things as well, so I figured well why not, Ill start one of my own.
We can go out to lunch, see a movie, and just go shopping, or come to each others house and play games or watch a DVD, even a book club or movie club of sorts. I am open to all kinds of venues, and I look forward to hearing from anyone that would be open to this as well.
Please send me a little about yourself and maybe a picture, and I will see what happens!
JudeHey Join us for "Sunday Evening Eats Supper Club & Movie Nights! (Boulder)
Hello and Welcome to the Sunday Evening Eats Supper Club and Movie Night get together. WOW, we have been so successful in this; we now have over 400 members and growing strong. We do so much more than just a few get together, this is such a great way to get to know your city, and a way to meet and contact those whom you find interesting, were all interfaith based, and all from different backgrounds, a great place to reflect, relax, and truly unwind in a safe atmosphere. We have a great fun and the restaurants are beginning to recognize us as a group and were beginning to receive discounts!
Hey we had a Fantastic Halloween Party! Held in Gunbarrel and it was "Alice In Wonderland" themed! It was our biggest yet! We had so many new people by word of mouth, friends brought friends, and just people as far as from Denver to Fort Collins heard that we hold the event of the year! We allowed 133 people and everyone had a blast! Listen our next event of course will be held in our home, and thats Thanksgiving. We have a Pot Luck Dinner, I make the Turkey and something for our Non-meat eaters, also a few pies and cookies, everyone else brings something as well. It's been a very warn inviting scenario, we love the smaller venues to get to know one another. We only allow 30 people to attend because of size of the home situations, so do not miss this, we do the same for Christmas too! get on our list soon!
This group has been set up by me and my Partner (Gay) of 13 years to find new friends and adequateness. We moved here now about 3 years ago and found others who also have moved here pretty recently, and those who also wanted to make new friends who have lived in Boulder/Longmont/Louisville for a long time. So we decided to put together a Sunday Evening Eats Supper Club. We pick out the Restaurants and then through email we send out the invite and people let us know by Sunday morning if they are planning on coming and how many are attending, you are always free to bring along friends, this way we can make reservations and let the place where we choose to dine know just how many in the party is coming.
We meet at the Dining location at 6: pm every other Sunday evening! Were always having great times wherever we go! There are always new faces and many times we return to an old place that gives us a discount, or going to a new place, we even do a judging of the food too! This is not a dating service by all means but most of our attendees are single men and women of all ages and backgrounds and well one might never know and I do say things just might happen, though this is not the intention of this group, we believe love can happen in many ways indeed! OK this is a request by the women in our group, we need some more 30 to 40 something single men to join our group, so guys get on board!
Do not fear and give us a try, you will never be sorry! Having friends is wonderful, and remember were from all age ranges from 23 to 75, were straight, married, and single, men and women and even sometimes kids! We are all professionals and ones that just love to laugh! We have writers and Doctors and Administrative and Real Estate people in our group along with many others. You will find a great band of people to fellowship with and through this group you will find you will many new best friends!
We also have home dinners here at our home that will be centered on TV Events like sports, Oscar Nights, and other special events. During that time we will supply some of the food but you can pitch in a few bucks to help cover the cost, especially if we are serving steak and shrimp and salmon that would be very helpful indeed! Everyone brings their own wine and beer, and everyone brings a pot luck, just ask and well take it from there with a list. We usually do the following Holidays, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas and New Years! In October were going to start going to Denver as a group once a month for Dinner and Theatre, I am working up a price with the people in Denver for this. We also go to area activities and theaters that we invite the group too as well.
By the way we had an awesome time for all the bashes we’ve had over the last year, everyone said it was the best Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day they have ever had!
So how the Holidays work is we send out an email and everyone can attend and this way you can feel part of a much larger family. Mostly we have Disco Party's and Jazz Dancing, for instance we had a 'Zombie' party for our last Halloween and we had a blast! Having a bunch of new friends for holidays can be awesome especially if we do not have any real close local family, so now we can all feel part of an extended family! So I guess now you really can choose your family :o) Remember this years 'Halloween Party is another Disco 'Alice In Wonderland Themed'!
Here’s how some of our cookouts or get-togethers might work, like for instance if we were having a cookout with steaks, and all the fixings, you would let us know what you can bring and bring a few bucks for the steaks too! You must reserve at least a week a head on any of these so we can plan. So that's how this all works and what a fantastic way to make those new friends! Sometimes if there is a DJ involved such as with our Disco Party's we do ask for a donation to cover the cost, but it's well worth it.
Our home has kind of become famous all over Boulder as the Party House since we find reasons to celibate parties, we have allot of single women and single men as well as new couples that come to our events! So it becomes a real safe place to meet new friends, safe for kids on kid days and kid restaurant nights, we would let you know in advance.
This is open to all newbie’s or those already living here in Boulder/Longmont/ or any other town, regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, or single, married. We do allow children to attend on occasion (Such as Holiday Parties and special events) please ask before hand, however mainly this is for adults only (as explained above unless noted). The time we spend talking and eating together is usually about 2 hours or less.
So if you are new or a resident of Boulder/Longmont/ or surrounding townships and want to get to know people and make new friends this is for you, we all go dutch and we get separate checks.
Just a note, my partner and I also have two movie nights on our huge screen home theater, this is for reservation only seating, but it is completely free! We have two nights a week so you can decide which night suits you best, or please come to every one of them. We have 'Wednesday Night at the Movies". Which is usually a fun Musical, we serve popcorn and drinks, BYOW= Bring Your Own Wine & beer. I have been known on certain nights to make my famous pies and cakes, so there just might be a night you get to try out my new creations!
Then we have 'Friday night at the movies". This night we show regular feature films and serve hot fresh popcorn from our popcorn cart like above! You can’t beat the fact that depending on when you respond you might get a reclining seat! So get on this mailing list too and come as you are and come often, just remember these seats fill up fast cause were so much fun to have as friends!
We just started overflow seating in the balcony area and it seats about 4 people.
