I am a single mom, and after a search of what is out there on my own, I am looking to share a house or apartment with another single parent. Hi, I'm a 26 year old male and will be moving to the Boulder area sometime in December and will be starting work at a law firm in January. I'm still debating between finding my own place or looking for roommates. I'm a fairly competitive runner, but really enjoy climbing and mountaineering. I also enjoy mountain biking, fly fishing, and occasionally road biking. Starting to get into AT skiing. I will be working a lot and probably getting up early so a house that is fairly quiet during the week is ideal, though I still like to kick back with a couple beers at night and watch sports if I have time. On the weekends I'm hoping to get out climbing as much as possible as long as I'm not working (fingers crossed). I don't smoke (any kind), and don't have any pets. We are really looking forward to returning to Colorado with our two sons soon and would like to find housing in the March 1 time frame. I grew up in Colorado and Boulder has always been my favorite place. We don't need tons of space, but would like to have at least two bedrooms. Any extra areas which could be used as a study or third bedroom would be great. We are hoping to keep the price under $1000, but could possibly be a bit more flexible if something were right in Boulder.

We have excellent rental references from the past 15 years and are very clean, responsible tenants. We always take great care of our home and leave places better than we find them. We also have a very stable employment history.

We do have small adult pets (a deaf beagle that hardly ever barks, a declawed spayed cat, and a neutered outside only cat) but they have been with us for many years and are included in all of our references. They have never caused damage to anyplace we have lived. The house we are currently renting is normally pet free, but the owners made an exception for us due to our clean record.

I'm 27, originally from Syracuse NY, teach art at a private school and also work in retail. My dog is 9 years old, also a New Yorker, and does nothing but lounge all day until I take her out for a trail run. She's mellow, quiet, and very, very sweet. She hasn't any issue with other dogs, or even cats. She's always the submissive one, it seems. So, I'm active and like being outside- I just started climbing, can't wait to snowboard, and love being out on the trails. I'm a quiet, laid-back roommate. I'm clean and considerate and get along well with others who seem to be the same- laid-back and clean.

Anyway, it's looking like December 1st-5th is the approximate move-out and (hopeful) move-in date.

I'm currently looking for a house and roommates to share that house with!

I have actually found a place on Baseline in Lafayette but can't afford it on my own - $1200, 3br/ 2 full ba, washer/dryer, fenced yard, pets allowed, lots of storage, about 3 alley parking spaces. Located in a quiet neighborhood that's a straight shot to Boulder. Quick access to I-25, grocery stores, library, shops, etc. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms, big living space, and open kitchen (no dishwasher). There is also a full basement with 1 maybe 2 bedrooms and a full bath, however it's pretty much unfinished. The landlord said he can lay down some carpet in the bedroom and give it a quick paint, but the rest would be up to us. The basement also has it's own private entrance, so could be treated as it's own apartment while we share the kitchen. I'm open to short or long-term commitments. As of now, this house is still available.

About me: I'm a responsible part-time student at MSCD and employed full-time, with a well-behaved 2 yr old retriever mix. I'm clean, financially responsible, and am easy to get along with. I like to cook, enjoy good wine and beer (but not big on the party scene), and enjoy anything outdoors (esp. skiing, camping, hiking). The amount I can pay for rent/utilities is flexible.
