Boogie Woogie Lessons (BG)

I was born 60 years too late! I want someone to give me piano lessons, specifically in the boogie-woogie and maybe ragtime styles. In the last ten years, I have seen precisely one ad for that, in a newspaper, from a 90 year old woman, ten years ago. This awesome style will be lost, if the younger generation, ie: me, doesn't embrace it. I promise I'll practice. Sorry, but I'm not really looking for someone who gives blues lessons and knows a couple boogie-woogie style tunes, or knows how to cover exactly one Jerry Lee Lewis song (no offense intended, of course). I want the real deal if that is still possible, someone who grabbed the style as soon as they had the chance and has loved it all their life. I'll drive 50-75 miles if necessary. I'll be a slow starting student, with 0 formal training. What little I do know is self taught. I'm currently way stuck on Maple Leaf Rag at 2/3 the tempo. Scott Joplin was a man far ahead of his time, and my left hand is a stupid idiot. I'll commit. I imagine not a lot of little old ladies read the c-list, but people who know people (who know little old ladies) probably do. Please contact me, and/or them. Come on people, I'll also pay 20 bucks to anyone who can get me a reference that will meet my needs (a cheap-o commission, but I get a teacher, and you get $20, plus you'll be preserving our history and culture).

Listen to Ecco play Revielle Boogie on the u-tubes and tell me that wouldn't be about the most awesome thing ever. I dare you to not tap your foot while he plays it. Also, I'm a realist, I know I'll never be as good as Ecco.

A Clean and nice Alpharetta family is looking for a part-time reliable and experienced housekeeper.

Responsibilities: routine house cleaning - laundry, ironing, cleaning floors, vacuuming, dishes, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, cleaning windows, household organization projects, etc. Occasional childcare for 2 young children is also part of the job.
