Math Private Tutors Needed (Brownsville)

We are currently looking for tutors with experience in tutoring High School level math, or with a willingness to learn, to join us as academic coaches to help at risk youth improve their math skills and improve their TAKS scores. Tutors MUST be able to teach concepts covered in High School TAKS math.

We require that you are able to dedicate at LEAST 10 hours per week to tutoring students. We're looking for Academic Coaches that will partner with us for the long term and who are interesting in making a true difference!

We offer flexible hours and locations. We are looking for tutors who will be available to tutor for the school year. Great part-time opportunity! GREAT PAY! Teaching certification a plus! Tutoring takes place at a library or the student's home.

Specific Qualifications and Tasks Regarding the Job:

- Tutors will receive a cell phone to communicate with students and to set up tutoring appointments (either via phone or in person)
- Tutors MUST schedule at least 1 hr/week (no less than 5-10 hours per week) with each of their students as well as manage their progress via our online systems.
- Tutoring will occur via the phone and in person (one-on-one). You MUST be able to meet with students in their home, library, school, etc.
- Tutors must be a college-graduate or working towards a college degree in a related field.
- Background check is required.
