Hi, my name is May Bee and I was rescued by the Brownsville Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BSPCA) after I had my puppies. This was last May, so they decided to name me MAY BEE.

I am a sweet girl of about a year and a half old and I have been already spayed, I am current on my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative and on monthly preventative.

I am a mix of Golden Retriever and something else, who cares?, I am very pretty anyway. I also have this wavy hair on my back and you are going to fall in love with it. I know how to sit on command and I love to play fetch. I am full of energy and I am very loving and playful so a home with kids or teenagers would be fantastic. I prefer to be the only dog,,,well maybe a handsome male dog about my size is ok but I don`t like females. I prefer to be the only queen.

I would like to get all your love and attention. Don't you think I can be a part of your family? I am a good and funny girl that likes to play outside but I am used to sleep inside and share some time with you. I guess that if you cannot play with me, nice long walks would be good too because I am full of energy and girls don`t like to gain weight. I am house broken. My adoption fee is $85.00.

Female Weimeraner - BSPCA

The BSPCA has a young female Weimeraner (possible mix) in foster care available for adoption in two weeks. Sasha was rescued from the Brownsville Animal Shelter. The shelter found her roaming the streets malnurished and abandoned.

Sasha the (Weimeraner) has been spayed. Sasha is hearworm positive and is currently on heartworm treatment, which will be on going per the vets instructions. The BSPCA will work with the adopter regarding Sasha's treatment.

Her Tail has not been cropped. It remains in its natural state.

Approx. 1-2 yrs old with the gentlest temperament. She is house broken, non aggressive and small for a Weimeraner's stature. We believe she will be a mid-sized adult dog after maturity.

Weimeraner's make great family pets. They can bond easily with the right family for a long term relationship becoming loyal only to that one family or person. These dogs make great companions and require a big yard with lots of exercise in a consistent routine.

Dog Adoptions at Pet Smart (Brownsville, TX )

I was at pet smart in Brownsville this last weekend and they had many dogs for adoption. Chihuahuas and bigger dogs as well. The chihuahuas were very skinny, and it was so sad to see them that way (I am a chihuahua owner). I can't believe people would neglect such small dogs, the two I seen for adoption were females, I'm sure someone got them to breed and then once they sold all the puppies etc, they just didn't care about the mother anymore. People like this deserve to be punished, I hope someone adopts these small wonderful dogs that have been abused and mistreated. They did not ask to be dumped off or neglected, it's heartbreaking. And I would adopt them myself but I already have 3 chihuahuas. To anyone that is looking for a puppy or dog, please consider adoption before buying one. There are so many dogs that end up in Humane Society's and just need someone to love them and take them home. You can stop by the shelter in your area, or go to pet smart on the weekends.
