LOST CAT (TONAWANDA/KENMORE)

Dusty has been missing for over a week and is sorely missed!! He hasn't been found by the SPCA as we've checked several times and has not been squished in the road so we believe he is with another family.

I've been playing bass pretty seriously for about 20 years and I'm in my late 30's. I've heard my style described as a mix of John Entwistle, Geezer Butler and Steve Harris. Basically holding down the fort, with a bit of improv and some tasty licks. I'm into all styles of rock, metal, alternative, etc. and I'm looking for a band, either covers or originals. all you have to do is purchase a Botia, either a Clown Loach or a Tiger Loach, they eat snails quickly. Simple 6.00-10.00 fix and a nice addition to any tank, including a cichlid tank.

I play bass. I'm looking for an original, HEAVY band, or some people who want to start one. I've been playing a long time, have good equipment, transportation, all that good stuff....I am influenced by so much and want to wrap it all into one tight, disgusting, sometimes beautiful package: Pantera, Lamb of God, Sabbath, Metallica, Opeth, Zeppelin, Exodus, Dream Theater, Into Eternity, Priest, Maiden, Mastodon, Wolfmother, Tool, Meshuggah etc. etc. etc.

I don't want to limit the songwriting into one genre. Obviously I want this to be an extremely heavy band, with a huge groove, but....maybe a few vocalists trade off and on....Maybe we write something stunningly gorgeous and acoustic...only to cave yer chest in with a crushing riff and some double bass.....or some 3 part harmonies in the middle of all the brutality. I have two geckos that I need to rehome asap for I have 4 lizzards and am overwhelmed by them and college!!

One is a leopard gecko, the other is an African fat tailed gecko. Both are males and are in seperate tanks.

The leopard gecko is in a 10 gallon tank, the African Fat tailed gecko is in a 20 gallon tank. Both have lids and are in great condition.

re: snail help (wny)

a few things you can do. first you might have to remove your plants and rinse them well and do not put them back in your tank until the snails are gone. because if the snails have the plants to eat then they wont fall for these tricks.......
1) take a small deli cup and punch some holes in the lid (small enough for the snails but not the fish) and put algae wafers, lettuce, or anarchis in the deli cup. shut the lid. turn off the light and in the morning take the deli cup out of the tank and all the little snails will be in their eating. throw it out.
2) buy a veggie clip, clip on veggies to the clip on the glass at night, turn off light, in the morning take out the clip with the attached snails on it.
3) if you use had-a-snail or coppersafe make sure you do a huge water change because all those dead snails will cause an ammonia spike.
4) always rinse your plants before putting them in the tank in an attempt to rinse snail eggs off.
5) depending on tank size and fish buy a clown loach or red tail loach (careful the red tail loaches are fin nippers the clowns get huge) to eat the snails.
6) i heard a rumor that comet goldfish eat snails, though i have never sceen it. dwarf puffers eat snails like its their job but they have specified living conditions which might not be comparable to the tank conditions you have now.

Looking For Childcare and/or transportation (Willowridge area or Dexter Terrace Area)

I am looking either for a babysitter or driver or a little of both. I am need of services 3 days per week after school around 2:50-3 PM until 5:30 PM. Mon, Tuesday and Thursday (?)

We are moving from the Willowridge area to across Niagara Falls Blvd. We are still in the Sweethome district but need to transport my 5th grade son in the afternoon to our new home. We don’t want him to change schools in his last year. Our new home is 1 mile from the school.

The babysitter/driver can have our son take the bus to their home (if in the Willowridge School area). They can keep him at their home until 5:30 or deliver him to our home anytime from when he arrives or before 5:30. They can also just pick him up and take him directly home or a combination of both. If not in willowridge they would have to pick him up daily from school. At 5:30 we would pick him up from your home, if you have not already dropped him off.

Being in 5th grade he really does not need a babysitter per se, but needs a place to go to or a ride home. He is also a great playmate with a wide age range of kids and would make a prefect mothers helper.

Lost grey and white cat, female, fixed, medium sized, has piece of left ear tip missing from a scuffle with a rabbit a few years ago. her name is samantha but also goes by mama kitty. she doesn't come easily to strangers but even a tip on where she's been seen would be helpful.
she lives on the NF blvd side of 70th street in lasalle, she does wander outdoors but never goes far and always comes back every night so our main fear is that she has been stolen, hit by a car or has gotten herself stuck someplace. she doesn't wear a collar but the missing ear tip is a dead giveaway that it's her.
