Wedding Photographer Needed (Depew / Cheektowaga)

Looking for a wedding photographer for a wedding on Saturday, May 29.

Ceremony will be at 3pm with a 5pm reception. Looking for someone who is available for a few pre-ceremony pictures and who will stay at the reception through cutting of the cake (approximately 2pm-8pm). We have small families and a small wedding party, and will need very few formal poses inbetween the ceremony and reception.

We are on a budget and as such would prefer a photographer willing to provide copyright release so we can print our own pictures after the event. Ideally, we would have about 5 of our favorite poses edited and touched-up, but there is no need for that on most of the pictures.

Auditions- Burlesque Show (Buffalo)

Eye Candy Burlesque Show AUDITIONS *** SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY***
(must be 21 and up)

1. Male and Female Burlesque Dancers -
a. Ladies must be able to perform choreography as well as freestyle dance. You will be asked to learn a small chunk of one of our routines in a short amount of time and then perform it on stage in front of the Eye Candy troupe.
b. Men and women will be asked to freestyle dance. You may come with a dance prepared (bring your music on a cd) OR you can freestyle to music provided. Props (optional) should be provided by you.

We are looking for intelligent, physically fit, outgoing dancers for the troupe. Experience not necessary, but is helpful.

2. Singers - Male and female singers wanted to perform during the Eye Candy burlesque show. Must be able to sing songs from the 1930s to 1950s. You may audition with or without music. If you choose to sing to music, please make sure the lyrics are taken out of you song and have it on cd.

3. Comedians - Male and female comedians wanted to perform short stand up bits and skits during the Eye Candy burlesque shows. Please come with up to 5 minutes of comedy prepared for the audition.

4. Musicians - Looking for stand up bass players, saxophone players, drummers, guitar players and singers to put together a swanky, rockabilly-style burlesque band. Please come prepared to audition a song (acoustically for the guitar players unless you have a small amp) with your instrument.

5. Stage Crew -
a. Looking for males to lift and port props, set up stages, run spot lights, control curtains, body guard, etc. Must be physically fit with no back problems.
b. Looking for females for tip girls, to run raffles, hostess in the lobby of shows, work the guestbook/database, help backstage getting girls dressed and organizing costumes, pick up clothes on stage and interact with the emcee between numbers, etc. Must be intelligent, well-spoken, have an outgoing personality and great people skills.

6. Talent – hula hoopers, magicians, plate spinners, jugglers, etc. Any special talent welcome.

We have done most of the hard work already. The majority of what is left to be done is the removal of the Radiator, hood, and some other small parts from the old van. Then you will have to replace them in the new van where the parts have already been removed. A few other parts need to be added to the new van including the light assembly, lights, bumper and one fender. We can explain more about the job when you call.

i'm a local independent designer of avant-garde clothing, accessories, and jewelry...most of what i make is culturally (and sub-culturally) inspired, and meant to be moved in. i'm involved in a fashion show this friday at 8pm, and my segment is actually going to be a performance art/runway fusion type of thing that includes models, dancers, and yogis. i'm using a piece of music that yearns for percussive accompaniment, and i'm still seeking a drummer (or two) that would be interested and available in such an event.

it would be a time requirement of just a couple hours on friday night, starting at 7:30pm. the show is a benefit for the elmwood village association, so all participants are volunteering their time...sadly, no pay, but an opportunity to collaborate with some really gifted artists, and be a part of a really fantastic event :) not to mention tons of exposure (this is THE biggest event of this kind in the area).

Student mom needs video & possibly music for John Lennon song (Buffalo - Southtowns)

Hi,

I figure this is a long shot, but I am looking for some help with a video project for my final. I am in Sign Language at ECC and our final is signing to a song or poem. I decided to sign to "Beautiful Boy" by John Lennon. I am also teaching my four year old son to sign and was going to have him sign with me for my final. I actually want to take it a step further and make a video of us signing together. "Beautiful Boy" is a very emotional song for us because it is his lullaby and has been a theme song for us since he was born. I am looking for someone who would be willing to help a mom and son make a beautiful and artistic keepsake... Preferably a volunteer, but if you charge for your services, I may be willing to pay a reasonable amount. I am also toying with the idea of recording a cover of the song, so to speak, because we say "Mommy" instead of "Daddy" in the first verse, and "Darling D-----" instead of "Darling Sean" at the end. Again, volunteers would be preferable, because that part might just be more work than it's worth.

Like I said, this is a long shot, but I know there are some people out there who are interested in creative projects for their portfolios - or even just for fun! - and I really think this could be beautiful and great. I have my fingers crossed for some replies and ideas!
