Thank you all so much who called to offer your help and opinions and share your stories. Our cat has had a total of 3 babies, sadly, the 2nd born and biggest of the Bunch was rather stuck and took a Longer than usual time to come out and it was born without a sack and went to kitty heaven. We did have 1 more after him and believe she is finally finished. I told my cousin whom was very upset and crying over this to let be a lesson to get her spayed cause we coulda lost our/her cat and the babies.

We have had an extremely difficult year and we have decided to go on a family vacation. I am recovering from a major surgery and illness and my husband is out of work for an injury. We need to go and vent LOL. We normally bring our two babies along but this year there is no room. We are leaving December 4-18th. We are searching for a responsible and trustworthy person/family to care for our 5 year old golden retriever and 1 1/2 year old lab mix. Both are very well behaved, children friendly, house broken, potty trained, and not crated. Our baby does bark though LOL! We are open to them coming to your home (food and snacks provided by us) or having someone come into our home twice a day to let them out in their fenced in potty area. We do not have alot of extra money but would still like someone who loves dogs and would give them the care they require. The Biggest Loser

Hi everyone, my name is Uncle Jumbo. I know I have a few pounds to lose but I cant do it by myself. Right now I am at The City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. Can you believe they dont have a gym here? Not even a treadmill. Im not sure how I ended up here, but I am determined to find a family who will love me extra pounds and all (about 26lbs). Right now I spend my days in my small cage, this is not helping my weight problem at all. When the nice volunteers let me out to play in the big room I enjoy myself. Im pretty agile for a big guy. I love love love to roll around in cat nip. I love people but I can be a bit grumpy at times, but can you blame me? I've been here for a long time and keep getting passed over for the cute kittens. I am declawed, neutered, and utd on shots. Please consider adopting me and maybe we can make a New Years resolution to drop a few pounds together. I would be so thankful to have a home for the holidays.

More About Uncle JumboUpdate: 11/2/09: Uncle Jumbo really needs to get out of his cage more often than we can provide for him. He tries to play with the toys we give him and even though we have him in the extra large cage you can tell he is frustrated. We let him out to roam around the room on Saturday and you would be surprised how agile he is. He is really a big sweet heart but will let you know when he is annoyed. He is about the biggest cat we have seen. His previous owned loved him a bit too much. With the right diet and exercise he will do fine. When you adopt a cat from the shelter you will receive a certificate for a first free vet visit, so that should help getting Jumbo on his way to a new body.

This kitty was the pick of the litter, unfortunately the new family got impatient ( because we insist on making sure they're ready ) and they already got another cat. ? She is excellent! Her name is Czarina and she is fully vetted, fixed and has a wonderful personality. She is gray and black tiger with some orange from her dad in her coat, very playful and social, raised with kids, other cats and a full grown husky in the house. She is also very content to just sit next to you and watch tv or surf the net with you. We just can't keep this many pets here, however we'll only let her go to a great home. Their mom was nowhere to be found, so their breed is our best guess. They will likely be large dogs. She is 8 weeks old and is a typical bouncy, happy puppy. They had horrible bacterial skin infections that has caused some hair loss on their feet and tails. It is not contagious, and now that they are clean and dry, has begun to heal nicely. Out Vet is unsure if the hair will regrow or not, but in every other way they are healthy and normal puppies. This baby is in a foster home. They are already spayed and vaccinated, all ready to go. Red-Tail Boas

I have 2 Juvenile Female Hypo Columbian Red-Tails, and I really do not need more than one of them. I was holding onto these two for a while after selling all of their siblings because I could not decide which one I wanted to keep... Now it's getting to a point that they are outgrowing their current enclosures, and one of them is going to have to go. Unfortunately I still have not been able to decide which one I like better... both eat extremely well on Pre-Killed or F/T Rodents (Small Rats / Large Adult Mice), and both are extremely beautiful. They were produced from a Super Hypo 100% Het. Albino x 100% Het. Albino female, so they technically are 66% Pos. Het. Albino as well as being Hypos.
I suppose I will make them both available, and whichever one finds a new home first will be the one I don't keep...
Pictures below are the 2 girls that are available. Re-homing fee does apply, but is negotiable...

I also have a few young female Hypo Hogg Island Boas which I would like to find homes for. I have 2 of them left, both are feeding on PK/FT Large Mice/Sm.Rats. They were born in late July, and have never had any problems at all with feeding/shedding/etc... They are very tame, I handle them pretty much every day. The only time any of them have ever struck has been when they are expecting to get fed.

In addition to the Hypo Columbians and Hoggs, I have one little 100% Het. Anery Female left from a litter born in early September that I was going to keep, but decided against... (too many boas).

I will consider reasonable offers on any/all of them, since I really cannot keep them all, as much as I'd love to.

The pictures are of the Hypo Columbians. I don't have any current pictures of the Hoggs or the Het.Anery Girl on my computer, but once I get home from work today I'm sure I can take some.

2 bearded dragons and LARGE custom built tank $300/bo (East Aurora)

I have so many lights for them it's ridiculous, there's 2 night lights and like 4 day lamps consisting of a long UVB lamp and several basking lamps

also, inside consists of green carpet and ground walnut shells (sand), fake plant, real rocks, heat rock, large bark hide away and a large driftwood piece for them to bask on. Large food and water dish. Fake plants and fake moss as well as more carpet along the sides which they love to climb up ha!

Also I have tons of food and extra bulbs, etc. The bearded dragons like dead crickets and I have those as well as a vibrating dish to get them interested in them. I can't get Zee to eat either live or dead crickets but there's always food (pellets) available for him to eat.

6mo Lhasa Female- Needs New Home

We are in a situation where we have to rehome our 6 month old lhasa (she's purebred). She is fully crate trained and has not had an accident in the house in 2 months. She will still need to be leash trained as we have her border trained.

She is super sweet and full of puppy energy. She loves to cuddle and give kisses.

We have to move soon due to work reasons and we cannot take her w/ us. I am hoping she will find a great new family here.

One is a leopard gecko, the other is an African fat tailed gecko. Both are males and are in seperate tanks.

re: snail help (wny)

a few things you can do. first you might have to remove your plants and rinse them well and do not put them back in your tank until the snails are gone. because if the snails have the plants to eat then they wont fall for these tricks.......
1) take a small deli cup and punch some holes in the lid (small enough for the snails but not the fish) and put algae wafers, lettuce, or anarchis in the deli cup. shut the lid. turn off the light and in the morning take the deli cup out of the tank and all the little snails will be in their eating. throw it out.
2) buy a veggie clip, clip on veggies to the clip on the glass at night, turn off light, in the morning take out the clip with the attached snails on it.
3) if you use had-a-snail or coppersafe make sure you do a huge water change because all those dead snails will cause an ammonia spike.
4) always rinse your plants before putting them in the tank in an attempt to rinse snail eggs off.
5) depending on tank size and fish buy a clown loach or red tail loach (careful the red tail loaches are fin nippers the clowns get huge) to eat the snails.
6) i heard a rumor that comet goldfish eat snails, though i have never sceen it. dwarf puffers eat snails like its their job but they have specified living conditions which might not be comparable to the tank conditions you have now.
