Looking for a part time cartoonist (Calgary)

We are looking for a part time cartoonist for up to four hours of work per day. We need a simple 2 - 4 frame cartoon series similar to the ones you see in newspapers, but with an urban lifestyle theme. Cartoons must be child friendly. Please send us an idea for a series you would like to work on. 4 hours per day maximum and $20 per hour is the minimum pay per hour, but we will pay as much as $25 per hour. You can work from the comfort of your own home, the deadline for your daily comic strip submission would be 8am everyday. This job is perfect for a student who needs to supplement their income and can use the evenings to work. All your work can be transfered into school assignments or for your artist portfolio. Art Models needed for Classical Art Studio (Calgary NW and SW)

Art Model

Calgary Figure Drawing and Calgary School of Arts requires models regularly. Employment is on a casual basis and oppurtunities will vary depending on the curriculum.
Successful candidates will be able to hold poses quietly and still for 20-30 minutes at a time, over multiple hours. You must be able to follow directions, and work with students and instructors well. Dependability is a must, as well as being comfortable posing nude.
There are no requirements for applying to become an art model. First timers are welcome, however experience can be an asset.

P/T Office assistant/bookkeeper/interior design assistant ((SW) Woodbine)

We are a small, home based, but growing, full-service interior design firm, Premise Design, in need of an office assistant/bookkeeper/design assistant (junior level) to work from 6 to 18 hours per week (1 to 3 weekdays-no evenings or weekends).

Skills required:
Proficient in quickbooks, word, excel, outlook, publisher (not essential)
Experience in an office/design environment
Schooling (ideally) and/or training/experience (at the minimum) in accounting/bookkeeping principles
Knowledge of corporate taxes, requirements, etc.
Experience in the interior design industry, schooling in interior design is ideal
Highly organized, multi-tasker, detail oriented

Job will also include basic office filing, organizing client files, client communications, assisting with some ordering, logistics, possible assistance at client meetings or set-ups, and some running around as needed . We do need someone to be flexible with their schedule, too, as our schedules are quite varied. A car will be required. The hours may increase depending on our growth and the skill-set of employee.

Depending on skills and experience, the hourly wage will be determined, but we are offering between a range of $15 to $20/hr.

As an aside, there are animals in the house (in case of allergies).

Glass art commission/Floating cat sun solarium (Inglewood)

My cat is so frustrated at being limited to her small cat run because of cat roaming laws and my concerns of coyote safety. I would love to connect w. a glass designer who could create a bubble that would extend from her run off the side of the house that was raised and my feline girl could feel she was amongst the trees, observing squirrels and magpies and getting some healing rays.
