I am currently looking for a nice daycare for my daughter who is 4 years old. We are new to the area as we just relocated from BC. I am looking for a daycare that will simply provide great care for my daughter between the hours of approx. 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. My husband currently works nights and I am seeking employment for the daytime hours so, we are needing someone to watch her while my husband sleeps. 2yr old Black Lab / Collie looking for home (Calgary)
We have a 2yr old Black Lab / Collie mix (that looks like a black lab, but is the size of a collie) who is looking for a new home.
She is a fantastic dog, and we love her very much. Because of our current living arrangements we can't keep her and want to find her a great home. Would love to find her somewhere with a big yard as she loves to be outside / go for walks / visit the mountains / etc. She is spayed and has been kept up to date with shots.
she is housebroken, fully trained to sit/stay/free/laydown/play dead/etc... she is a bundle of joy for sure, and is the first dog i've ever seen that you can actually see smile. This is going to be a hard process for us, but we need to find her somewhere to live. Even if only for 6 months, as we will have new living arrangements at that point that would allow us to keep her. Either works just fine for us, it's just no longer fair to her for us to keep her. If you are looking for a great dog, even for a family, this is it. If you have a spot in your home you wouldn't mind keeping a dog for a few months, that works too. Either scenario. We just want her to be happy.

Ayurveda is a 5000 years old Indian health care system that is widely practiced even today. "Ayur" in Sanskrit means "life" and "Veda" means "science". It is a perfect Science of health and longevity. This holistic science is the knowledge of complete balance of the body, mind and spirit, including the emotions and psychology, on all levels. It includes in its consideration, longevity, rejuvenation and self-realization therapies through herbs, diet, exercise, yoga, massage, aromas, tantras, mantras, and meditation. According to Ayurvedic tradition, health is the balance of elements air, earth, fire, and water, and illness is an excess or deficiency of any particular element. Ayurveda treats illness at its source, rather than at the level of symptoms, and helps an individual to take responsibility for their own health and well being. Ayurveda is also known as 'Ashtanga Veda' (the word literally means 'Eight branches of knowledge') as it is divided into eight specialized branches.
Yoga is a complete science of life that originated in India several thousands of years ago. It is the oldest system of personal development in the world, encompassing the entire body, mind and spirit. It is the union between a person's own consciousness and the universal consciousness. The classical techniques of Yoga date back more than 5,000 years. The word Yoga means "to join or yoke together," and it brings the body and mind together into one harmonious experience.
The volunteers will be learning the Basics of Yoga and Ayurveda in these three weeks of the project. Every day, there will be topics covered by a professional master (the person in charge of yoga and ayurveda classes), which will be practiced by the volunteers. Yoga will be practiced every day.
Apart from this, the volunteers will also help at the herbal garden and the nearby school. Furthermore, the volunteers will support a local school in need of simple renovation work. The volunteers will also interact with the children teaching them basic English and Mathematics, Health and Hygiene awareness, environmental protection, etc.

Lost Wedding ring (Canmore, Alberta)
I lost my wedding ring and engagement ring on Augst 25th, 2009 at Silver Creek Lodge, Canmore. It should be around the front of Lodge, between the main entrance and the parking lot. (some where around lawn/shrubbery/water spout)
I searched for them three times for many hours, even with the metal detector but could not find either of them. Tehy mean a lot to me. The diamonds engagement ring was even from my mother in law and she remodeled her engagement from father in law and gave it to me.
Wedding band is a platinum ring with 1996.6.2 with my husband name.
And my engagement ring is with 3 diamonds (1 big round and 2 oval small) at the same time.

offering ride from vancouver to calgary and back (Vancouver)
I'm planning on leaving Vancouver Dec. 6 with my finall destination Fort Mcmurray with stops along the way. Heading back to Vancouver Dec. 16. I'm planning on renting a car to come out there and back. If you need a ride to calgary or edmonton or some where along the way or need some stuff taken up there let me know or brought to vancouver.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION PROJECT IN MACHAKOS
Volunteer work: The volunteers in this project will be involved in planting trees, designing brochures, teaching the local people finance and management. The program aims to raise awareness and sensitize people on environmental issues and to improve the eco-system of the town by planting trees. The volunteers will be involved in preparing nurseries, seedbeds, weeding, watering, picking soil, planting trees by the river “Iyeni”, designing brochures, selling tree seedlings, teaching finance and administration. The group will work 5 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Sometimes, depending on the nature of work, the time can be extended.Location: Machakos is located in the Eastern province, about 1 and half hours drive from Nairobi (50 km). The project is located within Machakos town. Public transport is available. The closest Hospital is within Machakos town. Markets, Post Office, Banks (ATMs), Internet and other facilities are located in Machakos town. |
