Senior .Net Developer (British Columbia)

We are currently looking for a Senior .NET Developers with the following skill sets with at least 5 - 7 experience in .Net development, to work with us and our clients in British Columbia. (Relocation Assistance will be provided)

Position: Senior .Net Developer
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Status: Contract
Contract Period: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Start: Immediately
Rate: $45/hr - $55/hr
Relocation Assistance: Will be provided

Technical Skills Required

Experience in .Net Framework, ASP.NET Development with at least 6 - 8+ years working experience
Strong experience SQL Server 2000/2005; Data modeling and creating stored procedures.
Strong experience with the JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, and Web Services.

• Extensive experience with backend and database development is preferred ***

Experience using XML and XSLT
Knowledge of other development tools, languages and environments (J2EE/Java, Crystal Reports, ColdFusion) are a definite asset
Experience in cross browser development.

Nice to have:
Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to work under stressful conditions and produce high quality results;
Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.

Summary
Reporting to the Manager SAP, the SAP FICO Functional Specialist is responsible for gathering business specifications, configuration and testing within the FICO aiding in the business understanding of SAP, training end users. The individual must be an effective team member with a focus on the customer to solve business problems quickly and in a creative manner. The functional analyst must also be able to independently drive issue resolution, develop business knowledge and relationships, and apply technical alternatives while operating in a rapidly changing business environment. Finally, the candidate must be a dependable and self-managed individual.

Responsibilities
Support AltaLink’s SAP system primarily in the FICO modules.

Address business issues and requests relating to the system.

Works closely with AltaLink staff to support, maintain and design solutions as required for the SAP system.

Works closely with other SAP support staff to ensure enhancements and updates are appropriately implemented and supported.

Obtain a good understanding of users’ requirements and priorities.

Assist with projects as required.

Develop training and technical documentation.

Provide training to business and IT staff as required.

Assist the Manager SAP and other assigned IT personnel to develop long-term requirements of SAP.

Qualifications
BS or BA in a business related discipline, or equivalent with 5+ years working with SAP FICO.

Broad understanding of ERP New GL and reporting functions.

Business and technical background in other SAP functional areas.

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

Strong problem solving skills.

AS 3 Engineer

Overview

We are a technology firm with the focus to design and develop beautiful products. We’re seeking a solid lead Web Developer who is very comfortable developing in ActionScript 3 along with other platforms, but is a solid programmer in general regardless of the technology.

Responsibilities

You will be helping our company develop software applications while making use of ActionScript3 as a key technology. You will be working on some truly unique, initiatives. Our plans are bold and the software we plan to build is radically innovative. For some development projects, you will be the owner from end to end of the development lifecycle while on other projects, you will be a key developer working as a small unit with one or two other developers.

Experience

You have extensive experience developing in ActionScript along with other platforms, but when developing in ActionScript, you prefer developing in AS3.

You have worked with AS for over four years.

Skills

- Excellent ActionScript capabilities.

- You are not dependent on Flex and can develop OOP applications strictly using AS3 with no Flex involved.

- You can also develop applications in other languages as well and can work in the capacity of an architect or as a lead developer.

- Database design capabilities is a plus, but not required.
