Swine Flu -Anyone you know? (Sandwich)
I've heard there are a lot of cases of Swine flu in the Sandwich public schools. I believe my daughter may have the flu or the swine (she hasn't vomitted but she's had diarrhea). Her teacher was out this whole last week and my daughter said she has the swine flu. Anyone else hear about someone with the seasonal or swine flu?Any information on what's going on?

Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod Provided Two Scholarships (Cape Cod)
Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod Provides Scholarships to Two Cape Cod Organizations
The Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod (PGCC) has provided scholarships to two local organizations.
The first scholarship is in the amount of $500 is awarded to Gestalt International Study Center in South Wellfleet to fund participation in their training for a Cape Cod non-profit organization with an operating budget of less than $1 million per year. The scholarship will allow a leader of a nonprofit organization fitting this category to attend their GISC Nonprofit Leadership Training program.
Nancy Hardaway, President & CEO of Gestalt International Study Center says, “For years, we’ve seen that training nonprofit leaders in the skills of being a strong leader increases their ability to accomplish their mission. We are thrilled that this scholarship will allow a local nonprofit leader to join with their peers from around the country at our training center to expand their capacity to make a difference.”
The second scholarship of $1,500 will go towards a certificate in Philanthropy and Media for an individual residing on Cape Cod and working or planning to work for a Cape Cod non-profit organization. The scholarship will go to the Cape Cod Community Media Center to be used by one of the individuals applying for the Certificate.
Terry Duenas, Executive Director for the Cape Cod Community Media Center says, “Thank you to the Planned Giving Council and their generous donation to the Certificate in Philanthropy and Media program. It is this type of forward thinking generosity that invests in individuals who are committed to the work of non-profits on Cape Cod. This is the type of investment in people that will continue to pay dividends now and in the future. ”
The Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod is a local chapter of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, a National organization.
