I'm fostering a 7 month old female basset hound puppy who needs a loving home.

She's very sweet, not a barker/howler, loves to cuddle and play. She is great with kids, other dogs, and other animals; very friendly.

I'm asking for $75 rehoming, because she's had her first round of shots. I can provide her papers to confirm this. I can also include her leash/collar/food/shampoo/toothbrush and paste.

She weighs 13 pounds right now and will end up being between 30-45 as an adult.

She's very well-behaved and understands commands like "No" and "down." She is also house-trained, but it might take her a day or two to adjust to a new environment (she is a puppy, after all). She's a great dog!!

A cute orange cat showed up on our doorstep tonight and we cannot have pets so we are looking to find it a good home! It appears to be a indoor cat as it keeps trying to come inside our home. I like to be with you, but will lie down and watch you from a couple feet or more away. I will sleep in your bedroom or hallway, but not cuddle on your bed with you. I might jump up there to check on you sometime during the night, but I’m just watching over you. In the morning, I like to yeowl and meow anticipating that you will let me rub my cheek and chin on your calf or walk by your hand several times to get my morning affection. From there I will find a cushy spot to sleep. If you check on me, I will meow, roll over to show you my fluffy belly and let you pet me there for quite a while. If you can figure out the right way to massage or scratch my cheek, I will give you the most satisfied expression that you will feel so rewarded. If you walk away, I probably will follow you and maybe jump in your lap for a little more attention.
When you’re not giving me affection, I am incredibly good at chasing a feather boa on the end of a stick. I have great speed, and high attention to moving objects. Even better, I love chasing a laser light and I am very good at it. Watching me chase the light will be tons of fun for you.
My habits? I am fixed girl, 2 years old, always use the litter box, like dry food, people food is okay, but not my demand. I’m not really interested in getting on counters, or the washing machine here at my foster home. I like to go out on the back porch and chase flies. (eat a few too.) I do need a scratching post, and have all my pretty nails, and like to climb under chairs, china hutch, and have a cave to be in.
My coat has thickened in the last month, so maybe in the spring, I will need some TLC combing, and will look fairly lean in my summer coat. With that said, I don’t shed much at all.

Lovable, Older Cat Needs To Be Indoors (Cedar Rapids)

This sweet male cat showed up on my porch two years ago. I tried to find the owner, took him to a shelter where he was rejected (because I found him in the city limits) and he's been returned to us by animal control because they didn't have room for him (this was right after the flood). I've brought him in during the winter months, but he stays in the basement because my cats don't get along with him and I really don't want to do that to him again.

His front claws have been removed and I believe he's neutered. He loves to sit in laps and snuggle. I'd like to find him a great home with lots of love, because he'll give a lot in return.

I kept two Eheim Pro II canister filters down there, a power strip, lots of supplies and still had room to spare. I have 3 beagles that need loving homes. Max is 2 1/2. Beautiful ticked tri color. He is great natured and loves to put his nose to the ground. He is an inside dog and would love more attention than I can give him...Jazmine is 6. She is not spade and is not for breeding....She doesn't get along well with most female dogs as she is territorial. Great watchdog. Chance is also 6...Not nuetered..He to is loving and needs more attention than I am able to give him. I am trying to find them good inside homes as I can't take care of them anymore due to the loss of my husband. They all would make great pets and get along well with children.

Dog-friendly rentals? (Cedar Rapids/Surrounding)

I am looking to relocate to Cedar Rapids (or the surrounding area) within the next year. I work on the SW side at the moment, but my office may soon be moving... will likely remain on the south end of town, though.

I am open to living in Cedar Rapids or the surrounding areas... maybe Fairfax? The hangup, or at least what appears to be the hangup, is that I have a Yellow Lab. He just turned four-years-old and is extremely well behaved.

Are there any rental properties, either apartments or houses, that might accept me and my pup? I'm not having much luck with Googling it... Any insight you fine people can give me will be much appreciated. Thanks!
