I spent about four years living with one roommate at two locations. Two years spent living in a two family house in New Brunswick and then two years living at a apartment complex in Woodbridge. He had found himself a wife and our time living together had come to an end. We received our full deposits back from both locations. After that, I spent two years living in a house in Fords with 4 other people. It consisted of 2 males and 2 females. I found the house on craigslist, they were looking for a 5th roommate. It was a huge house and the rent was very cheap since there was five of us. There was good and bad to living there but for the most part it was good. Only major issue was the lack of cleaning by some of the roommates. I received my full deposit back from this location too.
I'm looking for a clean place where my privacy and food will be respected. If there is a cleaning schedule, I'm cool with that. If we pay for maid service twice a month to give the place a good scrubbing, that works too. I like dogs, cats are somewhat alright. I have no pets of my own.
I do only want to be responsible for my share of the rent and utilities. Last place I lived, if someone broke the lease, we were responsible for their share. I'm not going through that again.

Garden State Equality is the campaign working to pass marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples in New Jersey. The legislature will likely vote on the bill in early December or early January. We're fortunate that volunteers have sacrificed time with family and taken time from work to help us win marriage in the next 6-8 weeks. Now we need to house them!
If you're pro-gay and pro-marriage equality we need your help! Please consider hosting at least one volunteer organizer in your home for 1-6 weeks. Here's the deal: they work 9am-11pm, need a bed/futon/air mattress and access to a kitchen and bathroom. They will hardly be home because they'll be out working hard to pass the marriage equality bill! They are low maintenance. You don't have to feed them, water them or entertain them!
We have offices in Trenton, Highland Park, Collingswood, Asbury and Montclair. Housing near any one of these offices is GREATLY needed and appreciated.

I spent about 4 years living with one roommate at two locations. Couple years spent living in a 2 family house in New Brunswick and then 2 years living at a apartment complex in Woodbridge. He had found himself a wife and our time living together had come to an end. We received our full deposits back from both locations. After that, I spent 2 years living in a house in Fords with 4 other people. It consisted of 2 males and 2 females. I found the house on craigslist, they were looking for a 5th roommate. It was a huge house and the rent was very cheap since there was 5 of us. There was good and bad to living there but for the most part it was good. Only major issue was the lack of cleaning by some of the roommates. I received my full deposit back from this location too.
I'm looking for a clean place where my privacy and food will be respected. If there is a cleaning schedule, I'm cool with that. If we pay for maid service twice a month to give the place a good scrubbing, that works too. I like dogs, cats are somewhat alright. I have no pets of my own.
I do only want to be responsible for my share of the rent and utilities. Last place I lived, if someone broke the lease, we were responsible for their share. I'm not going through that again.
