The HR Generalist, under broad corporate direction, is accountable for the development, implementation, and administration of all phases of Human Resources including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment & employment, HRIS, compensation administration, benefits, organizational development, affirmative action labor relations, training, development and safety & health. Implements programs and policies designed to protect company and employee interests in accordance with corporate H.R. policies and governmental laws and regulations. Identifies and complies with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in personnel administration, business or other related field; and minimum of five years experience with at least two years of supervisory or administrative capacity. Strong computer skills are a must.

A leading communications company is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist on a temporary full time basis. The position would be approximately 4 months long and would start before the end of October.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
•Plans, organizes, and controls activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
•Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
•Develops, recommends, and implements policies and procedures with Director of HR approval; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and approving invoices for payment.
•Maintains records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
•Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.
•Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
•Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
•Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•A bachelor's degree and five (5) years Human Resources experience, OR
•A master's degree in Human Resources Management and four (4) years experience in the HR field, OR
•Nine (9) years experience in the HR field, OR
•Any appropriate combination of education and experience
•Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
