Piano Lessons at Very Low Prices, from a Compassionate Teacher! (Plainsboro)

Hello there,

My aim is to provide beginner- upper intermediate piano instruction to your kids (and/or yourself, if you so desire) at a heavily reduced price from what one would pay at a music school. I am a friendly, relaxed, and reasonable person who has had considerable experience with teaching.

My background:

I have taught for two and a half years, and started this business on my own from the ground up. My total piano experience is over twelve years, and I took ten years of lessons from my childhood into teenage years. I still play piano casually, and am a very musical person (I enjoy many types of music; particularly classical, instrumental, and experimental). My schedule is also very open, particularly during summers, but even now I have many weekdays available. Weekends are not preferred, but even in that case, I am fairly flexible. References are available for those that desire them!

I am also willing to arrange lessons at your home or mine depending on which is more convenient for you and your children, though special arrangements may be necessary if the travel time is 15 or more minutes on my part. Longer travel times are more feasible if multiple lessons are being given, however.

The areas I generally teach in are Plainsboro, West Windsor, East Windsor, Princeton, Princeton Junction, Lawrenceville, Monroe, South Brunswick, and Cranbury.

Of course, there are some basic policies I adhere to. I believe you will find them very reasonable:

-Payment is expected for four lessons, starting with the first visit. Payment may be made in cash or check.
-After the first payment, payment for subsequent blocks of four lessons is expected on the third lesson of the previous payment.
-Cancellations are expected to be made the night before or earlier, except in emergencies. I am fairly flexible with this, but abuse of this rule will result in being charged due to problems it causes with scheduling.
-A week's notice is expected for extended breaks, vacations, or quitting.
-Discussion of problems that arise is necessary well beforehand; money will not be refunded for sudden extended breaks or quitting.
-Respectful behavior on the part of students and parents is always expected and appreciated
-Students are expected to practice a reasonable amount of time at least five days a week
-Terms/prices are not negotiable
- I pledge to work with you to resolve any concerns or issues that may arise.

Prices are as follows:

$18 for 30 minutes
$25 for 45 minutes
$32 for 60 minutes

These prices will remain the same until at least June 2010, but any future price increases will be minute and few and far between.
