i am a drummer turned bass player looking to do a START UP band with an ex band mate of mine. we have played gigs with different bands in the past... me with factor x and guitar player with luminus and cell division. we have a female singer me on bass and a lead guitar to round out band. we will be starting rehearsals the week of the 23rd. we will do 2 rehearsals a week to start then possibly down to 1 a week. we want to start playing out within 2 months of starting practice, and would like to do some Friday night or saturday gigs. we have places we can play once we get tight. we will be doing cover songs from pat benetar, heart, evanescence, Steve miller acdc, queen , Bryan Adams,led zep, aerosmith just to name a few. this is going to be a drama free band with everyone involved having a say about everything from song lists to the name of the band. our ages are from 38 -48 yrs old so we don't want anyone younger then 35. we would like a drummer who doesn't want to move his gear and would want to practice in his garage or basement. if not we have other options. not having a place to practice is not a deal killer... it just helps. try to be in the area like within 15 20 mins, unless your willing to travel further

Looking for a working band, preferably playing funk, jazz, R&B, gospel, motown, soul, or hip-hop. I love anything with a great groove that gets people dancing.

I can rehearse once a week (within 1/2 hour of New Brunswick) and gig up to 8 times per month. I also double on upright bass and read music.

Seeking Vocals / Guitarist (Middletown, NJ)

Seeking a 35+ male vocals/guitarist to add to our current lineup. Our band consists of female lead singer /guitar / bass and drums. Must be able to sing lead on approximately 10 songs per show and backing vocals where necessary. We play a mixture of danceable cover music from The Beatles, Tom Petty, U2, Bon Jovi to The Commodores, Aretha Franklin, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge. All members have day jobs and we rehearse once a week. Members of the band are all easy to get along with and therefore we do not want any drama. Leny's Night Out "Local & Live" Open Mic Tonight ..(music only) (100OakTreeAve.S.Plainfield NJ)

Tonight and every Wednesday come on out to KC’s Korner for the areas hottest open mic.

There really isn't anything else to say except that our track record speaks for itself. LNO will be celebrating it's 4th successful year at one location. We don't like to brag so we won't tell you how we supply the best equipment and the best sound system available at any open mic in the area.

We won't tell you about the full sound system with subs,mid's and high end cabinets along with monitors and an engineer we supply everything you need to help you set up and get the best sound . (not just boxes on a stick here) . We refuse to mention the 3 Fender amps, Ampeg Classic and a Pevey bass rig that are available every Wednesday.....It's a secret that we supply a 5 piece Tama drum kit that is maintained by our house drummer so it's always in perfect working condition...... Shhh, don't say anything about the keyboard rig that mixes new technology with classic sound with a Yamaha S80 fully digital 88 note keyboard and a vintage Fender Rhodes...(great Hammond B3 and Piano samples).....We'll not make a sound about the fact that the entire stage is mic'd with 4 voacl channels, 2 direct boxes, all guitar , bass, keys and drums are mic'd and mixed...If you want to bring in a small amp of your own your welcome to do so. Drummers are welcome to use our kit in full but if you were to bring your own snare and cymbals we wouldn't object.

How's the crowd you ask ? ....The atmosphere is casual at KC's and the crowd is a great mixture of young and not as young patrons..If anyone tells you that the music performed ranges from rock n roll, country and jazz to rockabilly, reggae, heavy metal and of course the blues.....It's a good guess they're telling you the truth… Every week is a new and exciting night of music. Soon we record every night and soon with the artist' permission, recordings will be available for free online . You’ve tried the rest…Now try LNO .
