I subscribed to Victoria Magazine for YEARS and each issue was so beautiful I just couldn’t get myself to throw or give them away. As a result I have a nice collection of them. Well, we are looking at moving in the future and I have to cut down my “collections” of books and “stuff”… so watch the book listings, too (you will see several nice lots of books for sale reasonably priced).

Back to Victoria:

Approximately 115 issues from March 1991 to June 2002. This was out of publication for several years and I believe they just started printing again a year ago or so (it’s not a monthly publication anymore). I checked on their website and they only have about a dozen back issues available for purchase at the cost of $4.99-$7.99 each!

This store is run by volunteers, so ALL proceeds benefit the Shalom Free Medical Clinic, providing free health services for Chico-area residents since February 2007. The store is open every day except Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's at 250 E. First St., just down the block from the 7-11 at First and Main and one block over from the Saturday Farmer's Market. So come on by and build up your book library. We also have good quality clothes, toys, glasswear, kitchen items, jewelry, shoes, VHS movies, games, furniture, and more.
