Black and White kitten (California, MO)

Missouri Foster Cats is a small, individually owned and operated Foster Program for kittens and cats, working mainly through our local Vet's office. We take in homeless, abandoned, abused, and rescued kittens and cats, providing them with a safe and loving Foster Home. Finding them a forever home us very important to us. We have vet reference as well!

There is a $20 adoption fee for any kitten/cat adopted through our program. This helps cover costs of food, litter, medical, etc, so that we can continue doing what we do. ALL foster kitties are flea and tick treated, de-wormed (Pyrantel) , and ear mite treated prior to you adopting them.

This sweetheart is a Female, Black and White kitten. She has currently been in our foster care the longest. She is sweet, yet shy. She loves to play, (boxes are her favorite!), is fully litter trained, and uses her scratching post nicely. She is Approx. 11 weeks, give or take.

Lab mix 13 months old (chamois)

Myra is a wonderful Lab mix. Think she may have Chow in her (has curled tail and black tongue) otherwise everything else is Lab. She has a wonderful personality loves all animals and would be great for a child 5 years and older. She is spayed and UTD on all her shots. Small rehomin fee and an adoption application must be filled out. Myra is used to sleeping in bed and being an inside dog. I will not let her go as a outside dog. She has never been crated and she is completly housebroken. If you plan on crating her for hours on end please do not respond. This dog was in bad shape when I rescued her I want the best for her. I have to many animals and can no longer care for this many.

Charming and young yellow lab mix needs loving home (Jefferson City, MO)

My wife and I have made the difficult decision to seek a new home for our yellow lab mix. She is as sweet as a dog that anyone could ask for but I won't sugar coat some of her other characteristics. She can escape from anything and jumps over our fence (although she never runs away, in fact she usually jumps back in the yard). She likes to bark when she's left outside for very long and it can be very annoying. If left home alone she will chew or destroy anything she can find. Sometimes I call her our little termite. Everyone who has ever met her has adored her good personality and she's also very sweet with our baby. I think the reason she isn't fitting in our family is because she simply has too much energy and my wife and I have been too busy to give her the time, energy and affection she deserves. It pains me to part with her, but if anyone thinks they would be up for the challenge, I can guarantee she would be worth the effort. She truly is a wonderful dog, she just needs someone who can do more for her than I can. If you have a big yard or want a dog to jog with, she would be the best.

Oh, and here's her stats: She's about 2 years old and 45-50 pounds, and her tail wags a lot. I have no idea how much lab is in her but I would guess at least 75% or so. She's incredibly intelligent and might make a good hunting dog. I'm not a hunter, but I have had to pick up several dead birds out of our yard which see seems to have a real talent for capturing.

Good min pin (Columbia mo)

Hello, I have a Min Pin that has been one of the best things to come into our family. Unfortunatly we must get rid of him to go into the airforce. We have two other dogs and to be honest Bo (Bobo is what we called him) is the better dog. Bobo hasn't been our family as long and Mojo the rat terrier is my favorate and Duke the basset is the wifes favorate so we have decided to pick Bobo as the one to go.

We got him from a family that wasn't the best to him. I think that they beat him because he doesn't like men much at all. He won't bite them but he will not go near them.
He is a womans dog for sure. I am not sure how he is with kids but I would say pretty tolerant because when I picked him up from his old family the little girl ( that was really mean) was standing in the back of a pickup and threw the little guy out. That is when I said do you want to get rid of him? they said "yes I hate that little dog". So I took him home and he is great. He was so skittish and stressed out and since then he has really found the love and attention he needed. I know this whole thing is just as hard on him as it is me that is why I ask that you have a good home for him or don't contact me.

I think that he would be best in a home that loves him and can pet and play fatch with him every day. He doesn't take too much exercise expecially when he is inside because he loves his naps unlike other min pins. I think that there must be a woman in the house. He needs to be walked or have a taller fense than 4ft (he can jump). I think that Bobo brings alot to the table and you should too.

Found kitten (Columbia-Old hwy 63)

Found cat this morning around the apartments I live in. Off old hwy 63 in lexington square townhouses (by McGinty's and stadium apartments). The Kitten appears to be no older than a couple months tops, It's grey tiger striped cat, still has claws, very vocal, did not see if it was a boy/girl as I was in a hurry to get to work. Minature Pinschers (Jeff City)

We have two minature pinschers - one brown, and one black and brown, in need of a good home. "Tank" and "Tater" (named by our children...) are brothers and turned one year old on October 12, 2009. Both dogs are well behaved, good with children and other dogs, potty-trained, and very affectionate. Each dog has his own crate, leash, collar, and toys that we will send with them. Both dogs are up to date on shots. Our family schedule has become extremely busy and we do not have the time these guys deserve. Found Dog (Holts Summit)

He was outside Holts Summit city limits on County Road 4037 close to the Katy Trail. He was very underweight, full of fleas and needed help desperately. The vet thought he may have been on his own for several months judging from his condition. We got rid of the fleas, been feeding him and took him to the vet for a check up. He is in great shape now and very happy. He knows sit and if very intelligent. He's been great with our cats, dog and kids. He's a very affectionate and a super sweet dog. If you are the owner, know the owner or interested in adopting the dog please contact us as we are looking for a good home for him. We plan to take him in for shots and to be fixed soon.

beautiful black cats (Columbia )

I have two stray cats and one kitten that I am hoping to find a home for. I found them underneath my porch suffering from malnutrition but very sweet. I am not allowed to have pets at my apartment and do not have the $20 each it would cost to give them to the human society that being said it is still cold outside and winter is right around the corner and i can not bear the thought of them starving and freezing outside. Even if you can only take one that would ease the burden on my heart as I can afford to pay the human society for 1 as oppose to all three. Angel can talk and says such words as Angel, Good Bye, Nite Nite (at bedtime, when lights are turned out), Hello (when she hears the phone ring), Hi, and she can Wolf Whistle. Angel eats a regular Parrot diet, plus likes fruits, some vegetables, Chicken bones (for the marrow inside) Pizza crusts, and likes to try whatever I happen to be eating. Angel likes as much attention as someone is willing to give her and that is why I need to re-home her, because I don't have the time to spend with her that she needs and wants. Though she is affectionate, she will require an expirenced owner who is knowledgable about Cockatoos and their habits, and someone who had a dominate personality.

Loving Quirky Kitty FREE to Good Barn

We have a young one-year old cat who has a rare mutated Manx gene that has caused her to have a kinked tail. Most cats like this don't live beyond four months, but this little girl has managed to make it all the way to a year and is in practically perfect health. The only problem is that, as a side effect of this mutation, she no longer holds any interest or ability to directing herself to the litter-box when nature calls. As a result we can no longer keep her - we know she can't help it, but it creates a dangerous and unsanitary home environment.

She is a very friendly, loving, and quirky cat and it would break my heart to have to put her down. She is a talker, meowing and chripping all day long at you, and extremely friendly. I'm used to waking up every single day with her sleeping against me and it really will break my heart to find her a new home - but it is either this, soon, or putting her down.

She is updated on all her shots, in good health other than the litter-box issue, and well behaved. She is used to very large dogs, but cautious enough to run if they get too close. She has only been outside once or twice, but I'm sure if she finds a warm, secure barn she'll warm up to it and be quite happy.

Almost completely black with a really amusing kinked tail that bobs behind her every step, stunning green eyes, and a "good-luck" white spot on her tummy.

It'd be the best gift in the world if I could find a good, warm barn for her to cozy up to. She gets along very well with other cats and doesn't have to be boss, so if you have any other cats I'm sure they can work out the hierarchy without too much trouble.

I'm willing to drive her out to where you live ASAP! All I ask is that she can go somewhere where she will be safe and looked after, before I'm forced to put her down. >_<

You might try contacting Columbia Second Chance (www.columbia2ndchance.org) or/and Happy Tails Animal Sanctuary (www.htsanctuary.com) to see if they have room for this dog. Both are no-kill shelters in Columbia that are dedicated to rehabilitating abandoned pets, especially those in imminent danger of being euthanized, and finding permanent homes for them.

They would definitely inform any potential adoptees about her problems with cats and other dogs and make sure she is only placed in a suitable home. They might even be able to retrain her so it's no longer a problem.

Considering the dog's recent behavior, I suspect if you take her to the Central Missouri Humane Society, she will be judged unsuitable for adoption and euthanized immediately. They are good people there but simply overwhelmed with animals and unable to save them all.

Good luck in finding a home for her. I'm sure she would be a great dog for the right person.

LOVEABLE MIX (COLUMBIA)
