Consumer advocacy: Exfoliants are dangerous
Exfoliants create 'younger looking' skin in the short term, but in the long term they accelerate the skin aging process. Long term use of exfoliants makes skin look older and damaged. Your job is to:
1. Test this hypothesis with a web survey and research scientific opinion. If the hypothesis is true:
2. Collect pictures of skin damaged by exfoliants (and other forms of evidence).
3. Create a web site and consumer advocacy advertising campaign (e.g. web, print, billboard).
4. Measure the effectiveness of the campaign in terms of use of exfoliants and attitude toward exfoliants.
You will receive payment for completion of each stage of the program, up to a total of $4000. You are being hired as a contractor - this payment includes all expenses of the project (advertising fees, research expenses, etc). I can assist with technical aspects of the project (web site and survey development). The project should be completed in 2 months.
We will agree on specific metrics to be achieved, and include a sliding scale for the effectiveness of the campaign. I am in New York City but you may work from anywhere. Upon successful completion there will be opportunities for other consumer advocacy projects.
If you are interested in this job, please briefly describe your interest in this subject and list your relevant qualifications and experience (scientific research, ad development, marketing research). You may subcontract another person to help you with this project.
