PHP programmer .. (Florence, MA)

Contract to hire PHP web developer (LAMP / Drupal / Magento / jQuery)

Kindly note: This position is on-site only, for a company based in (lovely) Florence, MA. If you're not in this area, re-location would be required (which we could help fund).

We (k n e c t a r.com) are a small, growing web development firm looking to hire a contract to full time web developer. Our clients are agencies and small-mid-size business across the north-east. Our production work is primarily Drupal / WordPress CMS applications, Magento e-commerce sites, custom PHP applications, static XHTML/CSS, and some design production.

The working environment is open, beautifully lit, located in a funky industrial building (take a peak: http://www.knectar.com/about/). You would have all the tools necessary at your disposal to make an ideal programmer setting, from the software side to the working space itself. You would also have a dedicated, disciplined sales lead, and project manager to support (and protect!) you during the course of project work. A great upgrade for folks used to the insanity of freelancing.

The contract starting pay is $3200 per month (three months minimum). Full time position with health benefits will be an option for the successful contractor. As the position is on-site, and we realize that moving is a big deal, we would also provide a $1K sign-on bonus to help with moving / re-location expenses to the area.

Minimum technical requirements:

* PHP as primary server-side programming language
* Client-side coding: standards-based XHTML/CSS/jQuery
* jQuery
* AJAX, JSON, XML-DOM
* API integration
* Payment gateway integration.
* Light-strong server admin.
* Drupal and/or WordPress experience (at least three production sites)
* Magento experience a big plus.
* PHP framework experience, e.g. CodeIgnitor / Zend, etc. would be good.
