It is plainly evident that if you were to take a 5 minute spin through www.foxnews.com, you'd be blind not to see that the site is against the health care reform bill. This is not how journalism is supposed to be conducted. News reporting is supposed to be objective, yet over 90% of the "news" articles are slanted against the bill. Ordinarily a news organization restricts their "opinions" to the editorial section. Editorializing in the "news" section is not real journalism. Uninsured people with medical problems will have a workable alternative. The bill pumps $5 billion into high-risk insurance pools run by the states to provide coverage to those in frail health. Taxpayer-backed insurance won't be free, but premiums should be much lower than what's charged by private insurers willing to take those in poor health
_THE SELF-EMPLOYED
Starting in 2014, self-employed people and those whose employers don't offer coverage would be able to pick a plan through a health insurance exchange, like a supermarket. It's modeled on the federal employee health program available to members of Congress, with a range of private plans. Small businesses could also join.
About 25 million people would buy coverage through state exchanges, and nearly 6 in 10 would be eligible for help with their premiums. The new tax credits would be computed according to income and other household characteristics. The money would go straight to the insurer. To consumers it would look like a discount — generous for lower-income families, less so for those solidly in the middle class.
For example, a family of four making $44,000 would pay $2,763 in premiums _about 6 percent of its income_ for a policy worth $9,435.
But a similar family making $66,000 would have to pay $6,257 in premiums, close to 10 percent of its income. That may be less than a mortgage, but it's more than a car payment.
Once the exchanges open, most Americans would be required to carry health insurance or pay a fine. Medicaid would be expanded to cover childless adults living near poverty, bringing the total who'd gain coverage to more than 30 million.
People with employer-provided insurance would not see major changes. But if they lost their job, they'd be able to get coverage through the exchange.
_EMPLOYERS
Obama's plan wouldn't require employers to provide insurance to their workers, but it would hit them with a stiff fine if even one of their workers gets a federally subsidized coverage. Companies with 50 or fewer workers would be exempt, and those with 25 workers or fewer could get federal assistance.
But the fines could turn into a big headache for many employers, particularly since they may not be able to tell if their workers are getting benefits from the government. For example, a company with 100 employees that fails to provide coverage could face a fine of $140,000 under the plan Obama unveiled Feb. 22. Getting the bill from the IRS would become a dreaded moment for business owners.
American citizens and legal residents would be required to have health insurance, or pay a fine.
For an individual, the fine would be $750 per year or 2 percent of household income, whichever is greater; for a family, the maximum fine would be $2,250 per year or 2 percent of household income.
The fines would go into effect gradually, starting in 2014.
The House bill is similar, with exemptions for certain low-income people.
To help pay for increased coverage, a number of long-standing tax credits and deductions would decline, while taxes on some other benefits would increase.
One of the most prominent changes would be a tax on "gold-plated" health insurance plans that provide lavish benefits but are expensive; the threshold at which the surtax would kick in would be $8,500 for an individual's annual premium and $23,000 for a family's. Of course Congress is excempt from this with their Gold-Plated Health plans.

My phone rang at 4:38 AM (DST) and on the other end was same person who had called my quote to remove the tree limbs in question a variety of names. Well it seems that the wind and rain have joined forces to weaken the root ball of said tree. While the limb in question did not come crashing down, the entire tree has now leaned up against the house while trying it damnedest to fall to the ground. It seems that price is now no object as his insurance will now pay for it as it is touching his home. But then I do have to wait to be paid by his Insurance Company (3-4 weeks). It seems that I am now the bad guy because I will not come out at 5AM on a Sunday morning, to fix something that could have been done on nice sunny day, no wind, no rain. I hate being a prick. went the plainfield bowling alley for a kids birthday party. What a shithole. When was the last time the place was cleaned? Carpets are gross. Free Wood (Saw your ad)
Dear Asshole, I have been in the tree service business for almost 20 years. The money is good, all kinds of people have tree work just like yours that they need to have done. Most are adults who realize that to get a 85 foot tall oak tree, that is ten feet from that huge picture window taken downl then you have to pay to have this done. I know that you think that I should be more than happy to do this for the wood from the tree, but, my insurance man is a real prick, would like like me to pay for my $3400 a year insurance bill for my business in cash not in wood. The same can be said for that rotten bastard that runs the local Stop and Shop. Also did you notice those three strapping young men with me this morning, the greedy little bastard children that they live with are just beyond reasoning with. They want to eat, EVERY GOD DAMN DAY!!! can you believe it. They also seem to insist on wearing shoes to school, and living indoors. While you and I do agree that this is most ungrateful of them(both my workers and their kids), It seems that I am between a rock and a hard place here. So I do understand that the limb that you are worried is gonna come crashing down though that nice aforementioned window, and I quite agree that, that is more than likely to happen in the first good wind storm we get. But I really do need to get paid for this job in money, American money. You agree that it will take about 6 to 8 hours for us to take the tree down. And you agree that it should be cleaned up so as not to make a mess of your yard, and that I should not pull my truck on your grass, nor should I run that GD noisy wood chipper while you are trying to sleep during the day on a Thursday. That you find my price of $500 to remove the tree to be "fucking robbery", baffles me. No sir that wood is not worth more than "A Grand by its self". No I am not just going to "resell your wood to other people to burn in their fireplaces". That is even more of a pain in the balls than dealing with you is.
