Growing language school is seeking full time instructors for teaching the language of Pashto.

The successful candidate will have an MA in an area such as a particular language, linguistics, literature or second language studies plus 3 years experience in teaching adults a language or languages.

We are particularly interested in those who can teach two or more regional languages. To teach a language the candidate must have skills in that language at 4/4/4/4 ILR scale.

Program Instructor needed in Farrell Area School District to deliver Girl Scout written curriculum to girls who participate in: in-school, after school, evenings and/or weekend programs. As an Activities Assistant you will maintain relationships with local schools, businesses and social organizations in maintaining an active network of volunteers and community resources. You will maintain a monthly calendar of activities and events that provide a variety of resident and family centered experiences.

Requirements:

• At least one year job related experience preferably in a senior living environment.

• High school diploma required.

Be part of a solution team which will configure, design, develop and deliver literacy solutions to schools using the latest scientific-based reading research results through the use of assessment, professional development and classroom coaching.

• Deliver professional development solutions using adult learning methodologies in training environment.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to teachers and administrators to impact student achievement throughout the school year.
• Advise teachers and school administrators as to their “next steps” for student achievement.
• Provide reports and documentation detailing student progress.
• Offer collaboration solutions.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with team and partners.
• Work closely with leading Reading Research Professionals from around the nation.
• Support client schools and promote student success and reading achievement at local conferences.

Requirements:
Master's Degree (or progress toward a Degree) in education or reading related field. Also required - 2 - 5 years teaching experience. Additional years consulting and/or training experience in the design and delivery of face-to-face or facilitator lead programs both locally and/or nationally is a plus. Experience with reading assessments such as DIBELS®, AimsWeb® is a plus. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Candidate must possess some knowledge of the human change process and have some familiarity with project management, workflow management, and knowledge management. Candidate must possess facilitation skills, in addition to professionalism and creativity. Candidate must possess the ability to maintain regional travel schedule. We require excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Must have ability to obtain necessary Criminal Background Checks and Child Abuse Clearance. Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
