This is a permanent, ongoing position in which I am trying to find someone who will commit to long term. This is an independent contracting position, paid every 1st and 15th of the month.

Certified Res.Manager 4 AFH Level #3 (Eugene, OR)

I am looking for a already certified resident manager for a level 3 Adult Foster Care Home.

Please do not answer this ad if you do not fit all the following qualifications:

You must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to be offered this job. This can take up to 7 days, so come prepared to do this check if you are interested in this job. This is of no cost to you, unless you are recently or within three years from out of state.

You must be able to follow direction well. Be organized and energetic. You must be in good health. You must be able to lift transfer; not heavy lifting.

This is a non smoking home. Per the state rules: anyone smoking must to so 25 feet away from the house; which means if you are a smoker, you could only do so when you have someone in the house to break you. This is not realistic for staffing. So this may not be a good fit for a smoker. Besides non smokers really do not like the smell of a smoker. I have employed smokers who did a very good job covering their smell.

You MUST have experience working in an Adult Foster Care Home. Facility care, desk work ... nursing, etc; none of it is the same as AFH care.

I am looking for a person or couple who would be willing to live in 5-7 days a week. Time off is negotable. However, I do have a caregiver who works day shift ... 8-6 4 days a week. Resident manager could take off every other weekend, if desired.

So the shift I need for is evenings and nights 6 pm-8/9 am. 2-3 weekends a month. Pay would depend on shift decided on and would include room and board.

This is a LIVE-IN POSITION >>> do not call for any other shifts.

There is a process for training for this job.

  1. 1. the interveiw & filling out the criminal background check appplication and dropping it off if you want to go further.

  1. 2. doing an open book study and test reguired by the state .. if you have worked in an AFH prior you will have done this already

  1. 3. about 3-7 days if you pass the background check ... you come in to do orientation and training

  1. 4. if you still want the live in position there is paperwork that has to go to the state for approval

  1. 5. we would nego a salary and go over agreements and sign a contract for this position

  1. 6 while we wait for the state to approve a live in position you would work for me part time.

This is not a high paying postion, but the benefits of working for me and being a loyal caregiver are many. No health insurance at this time; however this salary would qualify you for volunteers in medicine. This would be a good job for a semi retired person or couple who would just like to have a home and a family to belong to and love to care for others.
