Certified Res.Manager 4 AFH Level #3 (Eugene, OR)

I am looking for a already certified resident manager for a level 3 Adult Foster Care Home.

Please do not answer this ad if you do not fit all the following qualifications:

You must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to be offered this job. This can take up to 7 days, so come prepared to do this check if you are interested in this job. This is of no cost to you, unless you are recently or within three years from out of state.

You must be able to follow direction well. Be organized and energetic. You must be in good health. You must be able to lift transfer; not heavy lifting.

This is a non smoking home. Per the state rules: anyone smoking must to so 25 feet away from the house; which means if you are a smoker, you could only do so when you have someone in the house to break you. This is not realistic for staffing. So this may not be a good fit for a smoker. Besides non smokers really do not like the smell of a smoker. I have employed smokers who did a very good job covering their smell.

You MUST have experience working in an Adult Foster Care Home. Facility care, desk work ... nursing, etc; none of it is the same as AFH care.

I am looking for a person or couple who would be willing to live in 5-7 days a week. Time off is negotable. However, I do have a caregiver who works day shift ... 8-6 4 days a week. Resident manager could take off every other weekend, if desired.

So the shift I need for is evenings and nights 6 pm-8/9 am. 2-3 weekends a month. Pay would depend on shift decided on and would include room and board.

This is a LIVE-IN POSITION >>> do not call for any other shifts.

There is a process for training for this job.

  1. 1. the interveiw & filling out the criminal background check appplication and dropping it off if you want to go further.

  1. 2. doing an open book study and test reguired by the state .. if you have worked in an AFH prior you will have done this already

  1. 3. about 3-7 days if you pass the background check ... you come in to do orientation and training

  1. 4. if you still want the live in position there is paperwork that has to go to the state for approval

  1. 5. we would nego a salary and go over agreements and sign a contract for this position

  1. 6 while we wait for the state to approve a live in position you would work for me part time.

This is not a high paying postion, but the benefits of working for me and being a loyal caregiver are many. No health insurance at this time; however this salary would qualify you for volunteers in medicine. This would be a good job for a semi retired person or couple who would just like to have a home and a family to belong to and love to care for others.

Available: Exceptional Caregiver (Lane County)

I am good at my work and love what I do! I have over 20 years of experience. I have worked with clients that have Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s. I have done ostomy care, urinary catheter care, personal hygiene, and transferring in addition to a wide range of ADLs (too many to list) If there is something I haven’t done, I am more than willing to learn how to.

I am registered with Senior Disabled Services which means I have passed a criminal background check. I am also bonded. You do not need to be registered with SDS for me to work with you. I am willing to work privately.

I am CPR and First Aid certified. I can work at a moments notice and any day of the week and any shifts.

I have excellent local references. Following is a little of what previous employers have said about me.

“Laura is an innovative self-starter, who rarely needs supervision. She is punctual and typically exceeds expectations. I would absolutely rehire Laura if the opportunity should arise.”
Jim H.

“As a result of an illness, I needed help with bathing, dressing, house cleaning and meal preparation. Laura provided support to me when I was discouraged; she encouraged me to seek new experiences; and she believed that I would recover! Friendship and support represent a vital component in complete recovery. I am indeed fortunate to have Laura and the support she provided”
Virginia S.

“Laura was hired as a caregiver for my father in Eugene in his last months of his life. She was a ray of sunshine each day when she came to work. She was incredibly dedicated to her job and became a family member over her time with us. Laura was flexible with her hours, always willing to adjust and adapt as our lives continued to change as my father declined. She was our rock.
Kay P.

“There are people who do this type of work because they truly have a heart for the elderly and a God given gift of care. This would describe Laura, she is passionate about her work. I recommend her highly, she is a true treasure.”
Jana L.

Medical Services Manager (Salem)

Nurses working for an insurance company? Maybe you’ve never thought about it until now, but nurses play a vital role in how our medical programs here at SAIF Corporation help both businesses and injured workers.

One reason SAIF is an industry leader is the kind of innovation that makes Oregon one of the safest places to work in the nation. SAIF’s Medical Services Unit contributes to that leadership through the work of our medical programs and medical audit review teams, overseen by the medical services manager.

The medical services manager plans and directs SAIF medical services operations to achieve quality medical care, optimum medical cost containment, and operational effectiveness and efficiency. Two of the most important aspects of this job are managing the medical programs team and the Medical Audit Review Section.

Our medical programs team focuses on cost containment and quality medical case management. For example, our nurse consultants, who are part of this team, advise SAIF claims adjusters on medical aspects of work-related injuries, advise on cost containment, and provide medical training to staff.

Our Medical Audit Review Section (MARS) audits medical (and vocational) bills to ensure proper payment for services provided to injured workers. They also analyze SAIF programs and policies with an eye on costs, service utilization, care patterns, and treatment outcomes. Like the medical programs team, MARS also collaborates with organizations engaged in relevant research.

All of which explains why the medical services manager is so essential to supporting SAIF’s mission to set the workers’ comp industry standards for affordability, innovation, efficiency, and service quality.

If you’re have at least five years experience in acute care medicine or health administration, along with significant experience supervising staff or managing programs through analysis and interpretation of medical or claims data, we invite you to consider this opportunity at SAIF. If you have a current RN license and have experience includes working with regulatory agencies and/or negotiating contracts with managed care organizations, medical providers and vendors, that’s a plus.

TO APPLY

Visit our web site at www.saif.com to obtain our online employment application and to learn more about SAIF Corporation. To receive consideration, please submit a SAIF Application for Employment, cover letter, and resume to our Human Resources Division by noon on Friday, November 6, 2009.

SAIF Corporation is Oregon’s not-for-profit, state-chartered workers’ compensation insurance company. SAIF has been doing business for 95 years and is the leading workers’ compensation insurance provider in Oregon. Oregon Business magazine recently named SAIF the sixth-best large nonprofit to work for in Oregon.
