To the person who said $7 is minimum wage... Yes it is but you are also being taxed on that. I have done childcare in my past and I charged $5 or less for an hourly rate. If someone is ONLY making minimum wage, how are they supposed to pay minimum wage to the provider? We don't live at a time where people are rolling in dough. Prices for childcare have to be appropriate to the economy. This isn't Cali or NY.

My rate for full-time care is $110 a week. Part-time is $25 a day (anything less than 25 hrs a week). I also offer childcare on some Saturdays with prior notice. And like I said, I'm very good with children. We have a small park in my neighborhood not to mention tons of things to keep them occupied at my home. I ask my parents to please feed their child breakfast (due to them all coming at diffrent times it would be hard for me to prepare breakfast for each of them) But I will take care of lunch and snacks. (unless ofcourse there is a certain snack your child likes, you can send with them). Also......I do this because...

I understand that daycare is SO EXPENSIVE! When my 7 yr old was little we were paying 475$ a month just for her to be in daycare. So we decided with this one it would be better for me to just stay at home with her. Not to mention this is such a good age for bonding, . And because daycare prices are outrageous. (and although I know every mother would love to stay at home with their little one) I realize it is incredibly hard for anyone to do that and not work this day and age. So I would like to help anyone who needs childcare out.
