Graphic Artist - Production Experience (Southwest Houston)
We are looking for a graphic designer to help us move our graphics department in-house. You will need the ability to create graphics from customers ideas, as well as create new dynamic graphics on your own. We do not screen print in house, but we do create a lot of graphics that go to the screen printer so it is important you have experience with creating the proper types of files.
Experience with a Versacamm or a similar printer/cutter is required. Sublimation and color laser printing experience is also a big plus.
We have many uses for a heat press so it would also help if you are familiar with operating a heat press.
The job is part time at the beginning but there is an opportunity for more hours as the work increases.
We are located in Southwest Houston.
Graphic Designer-Production (River Oaks)
Our company is looking for an individual with initiative to be part of a small team responsible for print production, desktop publishing and customer service at our unique shop. This position requires excellent color management and the ability to operate a high-speed color laser printer. The candidate will need to be able to design custom artwork for our clients and provide excellent customer service. Professional appearance and attitude are required.
The ideal candidate will be team oriented with great communication skills--the ability to work well with others is essential for this position. He or she must also have great attention to detail and must be the type who can gain satisfaction from providing excellent customer service to clients. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus!

PRINT PRODUCTION
Organized individual who can produce print jobs with accuracy, speed and commitment to quality
Experience in color matching and management
Experience in assembly, and preparation of projects for shipping/delivery
Dedicated to seeing project through all phases of production with limited supervision
Experience in printing from digital files
DESKTOP PUBLISHING
Experience typesetting and preparing files for print
In-depth knowledge of In-Design, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quickbooks and Windows Office
Ability to combine data, text and graphic elements to produce publication-ready materials
Ability to manage time well to meet tight deadlines
Experience manipulating/preflighting/proofing files
Communicate with managers regarding project progress
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Professional interaction with clients on a daily basis
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, good attitude
Must work well in fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus
Requirements
2+ years experience with design
Fluent with Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash), Quickbooks, Acrobat, MS Office.
Solid typography skills
A thorough understanding of layout concepts
Basic content-editing skills
Experience with Flash a plus
A basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Excellent analytical and communications skills
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and manage own time and deliverables
Strong spelling, writing, and proofreading skills preferred
This position is 30 hours to start. For the right individual, it will quickly grow into a full time position. Compensation will depend on your level of experience, but we will be offering $14 per hour to start.
