Thank you for contacting me about a timeshare rental in the Greater Houston area. The nearest timeshare resorts are located at Lake Conroe, about an hour north; or at Galveston, about an hour south of Houston.

Because of a number of requests for a timeshare-like condominium in the heart of Houston, I have set up a condominium in Southwest Houston as near as possible to a unit that would be found in a timeshare resort.

The 2BR/2BA unit is located at Monterra Condominiums, a small condominium complex located at 8110 Albacore Drive, near the intersection of Beechnut and Bissonnet. 5 minutes to the Southwest Freeway (Hwy 59), 8 minutes to either the West Loop 610 or to Beltway 8/Sam Houston Tollway. About 20 minutes to either downtown or to the Reliant stadium complex, or to the Medical Center.

It is a small, older complex with two swimming pools and a locked coin-op laundry facility. There are nearby supermarkets; a public park one block east. The park contains a running track, playing fields, playground, tennis courts, picnic areas. There is nearby shopping at Meyerland Plaza (West Loop 610 and Beechnut), at Meyer Park (West Loop 610 at West Bellfort), and at The Galleria (West Loop 610 at Westheimer).

There are numerous restaurants along the Southwest Freeway, in the various commercial areas, and on places like Richmond Avenue and Westheimer Road.

I use a portion of the condominium for one of my offices when it is not rented. I am an attorney. When I lock off part of the condominium containing my office materials, that leaves a 2BR/2BA condominium for rental. During rental periods, I move my office operations to another location.

Each bedroom is in its own separate hallway with its own air-conditioning/heating unit. Each bedroom has a queen bed, night stand, double dresser, high chest, and large walk-in closet. In addition, the master bedroom has cable TV and a desk.

In addition, there is a queen-sized Aerobed with sheets and comforter, and also a sleeping bag available, for extra guests.

There is cable TV also in the living/dining area. Sofa, loveseat, coffee table and end table in the living area.

Lights throughout the condominium are on dimmer switches, and there are ceiling fans with lighting units in all of the living areas.

Private patio. Full kitchen with all the usual appliances. All linens, towels, dishes supplied.
