$75 as opposed to the $50 you offered for the one in Mass.

Well kudos for the increased rate. But seriously, to keep to integrity of the photography business you need to do some real researching and find a professional photographer and at least offer a proper day rate.
Most assistants make $250 a day moving and setting up lights.

A real photographer has honed their skill and subconsciously can compose properly and get the decisive moment capturing the joy and/or fatigue of the runners crossing the finish line.

And anyone willing to work for $75 to shoot that race probably doesn't even know what File Transfer Protocol is.
I seriously would like a statement from the PR people of runnerspace.com and figure out why you guys are ripoff artists.

I'm ready to expose your practices to the media and make a fool of your organization.

Photographer Needed for Cross Country Meet 11/21 (Wappingers Falls)

Runnerspace.com is looking for a photographer to take photos at the New York State Cross Country Championships, held at Bowdoin Park in Wappinger Falls on Saturday, Nov. 21st.

Pay is $75 for the following:

100 photos (general coverage of both boy’s and girl’s races), no captions needed
Photos sent by FTP to our server by the end of the day of the meet (photo credit will be listed for every photo)
Shots of winner of each race crossing the finish line; general action shots throughout race
We do not sell any photos on our site, we are simply displaying a photo gallery of the event.
We do not have a media pass for this event, so access may be limited to spectator areas.
Any admission costs will be reimbursed.

We are a running website based in Eugene, OR, and I'm coordinating with photographers across the country to get photos from as many high school state cross country meets as we can. The Visual Resources Center at Bard College is seeking a full time Curator of Visual Resources to provide our patrons with effective access to slides, digital images, and image technology training in order to enhance classroom experience and promote critical visual literacy skills. Our image collection consists of approximately 140,000 slides and 30,000 digital images that are made available to Bard faculty and students using the MDID (Madison Digital Image Database) and ARTstor image delivery systems. The Curator is responsible for overseeing image request workflows; delivery of faculty image requests; provides technology support for the Art History Program (including Photoshop, Powerpoint, ARTstor OIV, and Moodle.)

The successful candidate will have an MA in Art or Architectural History, or MLS with Art/Architectural History background or similar and a working knowledge of at least one foreign language, French, German, or Italian reading proficiency desirable. 2-4 years of supervisory experience in an academic visual resources collection or image archive, with at least 1 year of experience managing digital assets.
