Sorry to hear about your experience with Victory. I am, and have been using them since they first came on the scene. I've never had any problems in all this time. Just curious, did you let the tank go pretty low before filling it? What may have happened is the sludge at the bottom of your tank may have stirred and the furnace was on and sucked in the mix before it had time to settle. Everyone has sludge in their tank. That's why there is a filter on your furnace. Just my two cents worth. As for Lou the owner, I met him a few times. Couldn't be nicer. You may have caught him on a bad day.

New York Electricity Scam
The citizens of New York State were robbed last year and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is still trying to figure out who did it. It is amazing that they still haven't identified them.
The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages New York's electricity grid and administers the wholesale electricity market. They filed a complaint with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in July 2008 saying that one or more market participants, between January and July 2008, scheduled inefficient transmission routes around Lake Erie to avoid paying higher transaction fees for congested routes between New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The electricity was still sent over the New York routes anyway. This scheme had the potential to cause an electricity "blackout" by overloading the power transmission grid.
The transaction costs were then passed on to New York state electric customers. This scheme cost New York rate payers up to $400 million.

Victory Petroleum -Dirty Oil! (Hopwell Junction)
I always used a very reputable company for my oil, and had it serviced every year. But with the economy right now I need to pinch pennies anyway I could, so when Victory Petroleum located in Hopewell Junction, offered a cheaper price (Limited Time), I jumped at it.
Yet I paying the price, far beyond the little bit I saved on purchasing from this company.
There oil was so polluted and dirty that when I had it serviced the maintenance guy, said " I have never seen anything like this before, in all my 20 years in this field" the furnace couldn't even be Maintenance and cleaned, because the oil Victory Petroleum was putting in there was so dirty, that it was clumping up like thick mud. I had to pay a higher maintenance fee, because they spent 4 hours, trying drain and remove the clumping mud. I Called Victory Petroleum and spoke to the owner Lou and explained to him what was going on and I even had the maintenance guy talked with him , so Lou would have a understanding of what was going on. Yet Lou just dismissed my concern and wasn't willing to help with the maintenance fee, and not only that, he was down right mean and nasty.
I want everyone to know what my experience was with Victory Petroleum, in hopes that they will not use there service. It's not worth it.
