Dental Cleanings at Great Discount and All Money Goes to Your Charity

Hi!
Call (845)634-6767 for your appointment and mention this offer! Richard P. Herman, DDS 20 Squadron Blvd., Ste 260
Non profit organizations such as churches, boy scouts, cancer preventions center, human rights organization are some of the first to feel the money pinch, as government corporations and private people such as you and me are short of money and thus give less. Yet, those organizations are vital to our survival The current economy is not easy on any of us, and I have noticed way too many people holding off on their very, very basic dental care. As a dentist I am in the business of preventing problems with teeth not to fix large problems when they arrive. Contrary to many patients' belief a dentist is NOT happy if he can charge large sums of money because of large dental problems. At least I am not. I would rather fix many small problems and keep the patients smiling and save money as well. You probably have heard about the news on radio, TV and the papers that medical experts estimate huge lingering health crises to happen because people stop –or at least drastically delay basic health care during those bad economical times. I hope I can help out a bit, by giving you this examination and dental cleaning for $ 39 (regular $ 240) and by forwarding this money to your church or favorite charity. Please forward this e-mail to any one you feel has neglected his basic health care due to economical difficulties. Your church or charity leaders might also know many parishioners who are in need of such an offer. Call (845)634-6767 for your appointment and mention this offer!
Please also look at our next "Good Deed Contest" where we will be giving away a computer and other prizes early March 2010. For more info go to www.doagooddeed.com Again, please forward this e-mail to any one you feel has neglected his basic health care due to economical difficulties. Your church or charity leaders might also know many a parishioners who could need such an offer. Did you know that all – absolutely all - health problems can be prevented and thousands of dollars can be saved that way? So, let's get you, or someone you love, smiling again! Call (845)634-6767 for your appointment and mention this offer! Richard P. Herman, DDS 20 Squadron Blvd., Ste 260

Join Hudson Valley Ecycle
HudsonValleyEcycle -- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HudsonValleyEcycle/ -- makes it easy for folks who live in Ulster, Dutchess, and Columbia Counties to find new homes for perfectly good "stuff." Got an old TV or exercise bike collecting dust? Don't know what to do with that pile of screens in the basement or the soccer equipment that your kids have outgrown? Your clutter may end up being someone else's treasure!
Join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HudsonValleyEcycle and then you can post items like these (and pretty much anything else) to give away. Or maybe you're looking for something. Feel free to ask for it. Either way, whenever you post, please mention where you live in our beautiful Hudson Valley -- Red Hook, Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie, Kingston, New Paltz, Woodstock, Fishkill, Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Elizaville, Germantown, etc.
Not in our area? You can find a similar group at The ReUseIt Network -- http://reuseitnetwork.org We all make it easy to cut down on waste, save precious resources, ease the burden on landfills, connect with like-minded folks, and have a great time.
The main rule is that everything has to be free, legal, and family-friendly! So join in on the freecycling, recycling, ecycling ... whatever you want to call it ... it's fun!
DEMON FIST & ANGEL PALM – BEGINNERS’ MARTIAL ARTS GROUP CLASS (VC Athletic Center Poughkeepsie)
I am re-starting my martial arts and self defense group class. This class is free (or by donation) and is open to anyone. Class is now held at the Vassar College athletic center, 2nd floor, Boxing Room, every sunday, 7-9 pm. No uniforms, dress in athletic clothing. We often move the class outside.
DFAP is a martial art focused upon self defense through severely injuring or killing attackers. DFAP combines techniques from Kyokushinkai Karate, Bare Knuckle Boxing, Military hand to hand combat, as well as training with commonly encountered weapons (knives, batons).
This class will focus on training you in the 82 Fundamental Offensive and Defensive techniques of DFAP and their application in self defense. Class will have a strong self defense component, it is not primarily an exercise class. This is beginners’ class, it is do-able by almost anyone of any age (12+) or fitness level. Class will involve being outside, moving around, sweating, breathing hard, and light physical contact.
Most students I have had in the past have had a valid reason to wish to learn to defend themselves, have been attacked, witnessed attacks, have loved ones who were attacked, live, work, or go to school in dangerous parts of town or at night, or simply have an interest in realistic martial arts. If you think “that could never happen to me” then it probably is not the class for you.
You can try your first class without commitment. Try it out! If it is not your thing, I understand. If you do choose to continue training, attend regulary or your progress will be slow. Basically, you get what you put in, and martial arts is a longterm type of thing, a lifestyle.
I teach this class for free with my own time and energy. I enjoy martial arts and I believe everyone has a right to learn to defend themselves. I am actively seeking new students who share the same interest and will put forth dedication and who will represent themselves, the system, the school, and myself in an honorable way, and who wish to add something extremely positive to their lifestyle.
If you are interested in attending the next upcoming class, e-mail me to register. Tell me a little about yourself and your interest (if you don’t include this information, I’ll assume you’re not mentally competent enough to attend). I have never turned down anyone who wished to attend.
Please do not e-mail me unless you wish to attend the next upcoming class and know that you can. I will ignore e-mails that request to reserve a slot beyond the next class date, or refer to “not knowing if they can make it next time but really want to.”
Me: I am 35, I have a degree in Psychology, 18 years experience in several different martial arts. I’m casual and outgoing, I get along great with anyone 20 years older or younger.
Note: I only got put on the college schedule at the last minute, so class is really small now. I don’t mind, since I’m not making any money on this either way, but if you sign up make sure you don’t mind being one of only few for now. This is high quality training, I’ve trained at many many schools in this area since I was a teenager, I teach the best of what I have been taught or developed for my own protection, you won’t find the mix of arts I teach anywhere else and definitely not for free!

Rockland Gay Christian Support/Activities Group (Rockland County, NY )
Bringing gay Rockland together...
It's about time that Rockland had a home for its Gay Community. This is a loving and friendly environment open to everyone. You do not have to be a Christian to join.
My main goal in creating this group was to bring other Gay Christians together for support and recreation. Rockland County needs a stronger LGBT presence and more specifically, a place for its Gay Christian men and women.
We are about getting to know one another as a community and making friends. It's that simple and fun!
I want to stress again that ALL are welcome here. This project is about you and your imput is extremely important. Please feel free to contact me with ideas and suggestions.
As of now, we really need a place to meet on a month to month basis. If anyone has any ideas, or could offer some help in making that possible, please let me know.
Welcome and I hope to see you soon!
Best wishes and God bless,
Stephen Fratello

- We are currently in the planning/organizing stages and I need a few good guys/gals to help come up with ideas, plan and find a regular meeting place. Let's come together, exchange ideas and see what we can do...this is about a collective contribution. Teamwork.

“Muscles Work”
Like the muscles of the body which require exercise for optimal health there are inner muscles which also need exercise. Simply put if we perform push-ups, we get big arm muscles; if we practice wellbeing exercises, we experience wellbeing. Laughter is the simplest and most powerful exercise that everyone can do to create well-being. When we laugh, we improve our health on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Yippee!
HPV/Cervical Pre-Cancer Support Group (Middletown NY)
Hi,
I am in the process of forming a support group for women who have HPV and/or pre-cancerous Cervical lesions. This is a very difficult diagnosis to bear alone and I feel that there are more women out there like me who would benefit from knowing that they are not alone.
Right now, I am in the process of contacting local churches to find a place to hold meetings.
Please let me know if you are interested so I can send you the all of the info. when everything is finalized.
By all means, you may remain anonymous in your e-mail.
Thank you

This group is meant for serious followers, however if you're interested in learning more about the "old ways" don't hesitate to email me for more details. We're trying to meet in a central place so people don't have to drive hours to attend. I hope to make this a regular thing. so please don't be shy. everything you'd like will be confidential, unless you decide otherwise.
Please Email for more information.

Play Group for Special Needs Kids (Pleasant Valley/Pok)
Hi!
I'm the mom to 2 special needs children who need a break from the constant therapists during the week. They need other kids to play and socialize with. My younger child has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and sensory integration difficulties. My older son has ADHD, borderline OCD, and sensory issues. I'm looking to get together once a week or once every other week with other moms who are going through the same thing. I'm willing to drive throughout Dutchess County so that they can be with other peers, no matter what the special needs are. I would also like moms to share the experiences with. Please contact me via email and hopefully we can get started soon!

Advocacy Group in Support of NY Dairy Farms (Hudson Valley)
Got fresh, safe milk? Not for long if we're not careful. Please join our group and help our New York family dairy farmers from losing their farms due to monopolizing big business and antiquated pricing structures, so they can continue to provide fresh, safe dairy using animal-friendly, humane, and healthy sustainable farming techniques.
Here's the link to our meetup group: http://www.meetup.com/New-York-Dairy-Farmers-Advocacy-Group
Our meetups will focus on the simple steps that we can take to ensure that our state's dairy farms have a voice.
Thanks for your help!

Yippee!

Check out what members are saying about Ambriel's Song Meditation, Reiki, Angelic Spiritual Ceremony: "Very friendly, and talanted instructure." - Amardeep Kumar "Very interesting and informative." - jean "This community is a Network for all involved to learn, grow, heal, and evolve. No one person is more knowledgable than the other. All who join will, more than likely, meet someone that will be knowledgable of a group or service that will be exactly what you are seeking, or somone in your life may need. We are here to HELP each other. To do so, we must share what we know with our peers. This is the perfect group to do so, as each person involved has knowledge and experience in many areas, and through time and experience, we are all aware of people within our community who will be equally helpful in your quest. Additionally, each person in this Meetup Group is very friendly and more than willing to share their knowledge with those in need." - Carly "This is a very heart-centered group. Also, the space they use for their meditation is lovely and creates an even better meditation because of the vibe there." - Vanessa | |
