Live-in Caregiver Wanted in Catskills (Phoenicia, NY)

Experienced live-in caregiver needed for 90-year-old gentleman with slightly limited mobility in a lovely 3-bedroom creekside central Catskills home with mountain views. Duties include companionship, assistance with personal hygiene including bathing and shaving, dressing, transfer assistance, administering medications, assistance with prescribed exercises, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, scheduling doctors' appointments, driving to those appointments, shopping and other errands.

Caregiver will work four days a week, Noon Tuesday to Noon Saturday, with the possibility of a fifth day being added in the future. The caregiver will have a fully-furnished bedroom suite with private bath, cable TV, and broadband internet service. Most mornings will be free for personal errands. Caregiver will be expected to have some other place to stay on days off since remaining on premises on those days won’t be a viable option.

Candidate must be able to provide care with kindness and compassion, have a calm and professional demeanor, be skilled in the art of gentle persuasion, speak and read English, be a non-smoker, provide references and pass a background check. Female over 35 preferred. Ability to speak and read Hungarian is a plus, as are some computer and internet skills.

Candidate must also have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Possession of a car is preferred, but one can be provided.

Qualifications:

· Current unrestricted registered nurse (R.N.) license in the state where the position is based and other assigned states as required by law.

· 3+ Years clinical nurse experience with a preference for previous worker’s compensation insurance nurse case management, occupational health or rehab care experience.

· Preferably holds one of the following certifications; CCM, CDMS, CRRN or COHN.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with injured employees, medical professionals, employers, claims staff and others.

· Good negotiation skills to successfully establish target return to work dates and manage medical and disability treatment plans.

His equilibrium is challenged and from experience it has taken a stong man to get him around without falls. Pay will be $10/hr from an agency, which offers full and comprehensive health insurance after 3 months at 30 hrs/wk, plus a stipend from the family of $100 cash a week extra for any travelling, etc. Hours are flexible; ideally 5-6 hours a day between 10 and 4 and occasional blocks on the weekends. Qualifications:

Busy medical office looking for a part time front desk receptionist. Duties include:

answering phones
making appointments
patient interaction
pulling charts
filing charts
Candidate must be familiar with insurances and referrals and MUST be able to multi-task.

Hours are as follows:
Monday 11-close
Tuesday 11-close
Thursday 11-close.
Alternate Saturdays 9am-2pm
Close times vary depending on the doctors schedule. They are anywhere from 5:30pm to 7:30pm so you must be completely flexible with your hours. You must also have transportation as occasionally you will be needed to fill in at our satellite location in Stony Point. Ideal candidate would be able to fill in during other times and days as well, when necessary.

* We are seeking Physical Therapist applicants who possess a NY Physical Therapy license
