Chief Information Officer, Kentucky Court of Justice (Frankfort)
The administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch, which supports court facilities and programs in all 120 counties of the state. The Kentucky Court of Justice has earned a national reputation for many of its cutting edge initiatives including the statewide case management system which has been a model for other states.
The Technology division is responsible for system integration, application development and maintenance, computer operations and infrastructure support services. You will be part of the AOC Executive Committee responsible for the strategic direction of the Court of Justice not just in terms of technology but also in terms of policies, processes and budgets. As the CIO you will be expected to interact with all members of the judiciary branch including judges, attorney and government officials in a variety of situations including serving as a liaison with other state agencies and/or committees looking at technology for automation policies. You will manage and lead a multimillion dollar budget, with multiple technology platforms. This position has responsibility for the implementation and use of technology throughout the courts in Kentucky’s 120 counties, as well as the policy that guides the distribution and use.
Requirements and Qualifications required:
- A degree from an accredited college or university, political science, computer science, computer programming degrees preferred.
- A minimum of ten years of information technology experience
- Six years experience in the coordination, oversight and implementation of IT projects and programs
- Four to six years supervisory experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a government setting preferred but not required.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience, necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Salary range: from $90,000-$115,000 depending on qualifications. The State of Kentucky has generous benefits package for its employees.
