Hello, I am a junior who goes to mercer university. I have been playing cello for 10 years and in a music major.
I do play for gigs with other musicians mostly wedding gigs and I can bring more musicians such as quartet or violinists and more.
I also teach students. There's no age limit. All you need is your own cello for lesson.
I was a principal cellist in Atlanta symphony youth orchestra for 3 years. I'm going to mercer university with full scholarship.
And I attended many major music programs in Rome, Italy, Aspen, CO and so on.
Let me know if you need a cellist for gigs, and lessons.
We can talk about payment later. But usually I get 35-40 dollars per hour for lesson
and 100-150 dollars for the gigs depend on what they are. Let me know, thank you ! : )

“Radio, Reps & Record Breakers Music Workshop” (Georgia Music Hall of Fame)

MACON, GA, March 6— Want to know what it takes to make it in the music industry? The American Lifestyle & Entertainment Association (ALEA) will host a music business workshop and one-hour tour of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on Tuesday, March 30, at 12 p.m.

“All aspiring musicians and moguls should be at this music workshop,” says Jimmie Howard, founder and president of ALEA. “This isn’t your typical music conference with unknown music industry execs. These are professionals who are out there making it happen for themselves and for some of your favorite artists out right now.”

The all-star lineup includes Beyoncé Alowishus, DJ Scream, Bigga Rankin and Ron Hurd. Beyoncé Alowishus, the moderator of the two-hour discussion, is an on-air personality for Atlanta’s Hot 107.9. DJ Scream, who began as a DJ over 15 years ago in Decatur, has toured with D4L, Crime Mob, Plies and Shawty Lo. Bigga Rankin is the vice president and head of A&R at Young Jeezy’s record label, Corporate Thugz Entertainment. Ron Hurd is the regional director of marketing and promotions at Def Jam Records.

The conversation, which hopes to “put more emphasis on the business of the music business,” will focus on: strategies to promote and get music on the radio, the steps toward getting a record deal, trends in the music industry, and the pros and cons of small independent labels versus big-name record deals. The session will be open to questions and will also provide artists with a prime opportunity to network and meet other aspiring music professionals.

Musician looking for gigs / other musicians (Warner Robins and surrounding areas)

Hello,
I am a multi-instrument songwriter/vocalist and cover artist that is still somewhat new to this area and looking for other musicians to hang out/jam with and get info on local gigs. I have been playing Guitar and Piano since around age 6 and currently about to finish out my Master Cert. Program for Berklee College of Music in Guitar (Online courses). I have been writing music and on some occasions had my music published and have my songs on iTunes currently. I travel on and off across the US to play. I have my own gear including a P.A. system that is more then adequate for medium size gigs and a home studio. I am mostly into Jam Bands and acoustic rock but I am willing to work on *almost* any genre. I am also looking for people to collaborate with for writing music. I play covers of bands like Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Live, Neil Young, Bob Segar, Jimi Hendrix, and several others. While I mostly have played gigs with a acoustic guitar I keep my head well above water on electric also. I would like to find a few "Coffee Shop" style gigs and some other acoustic musicians to do acoustic sets but I am beginning to think that sorta thing just doesn't happen around here at all.

I'm not into jamming with someone that is not dedicated, doped up all the time, cannot keep their instrument tuned correctly or maintained properly, or does not have a set of wheels to get to and from places.

An established praise band in a mid-sized Southern Baptist Church located in Macon, GA is looking for a sound technician to complement our Praise Band.
