101 Road Patrol Tales from a Chippie of the California Highway Patrol (Reno, NV) $20

This 240-page professionally edited, professionally printed collection of 101 very short tales is from my experiences working traffic law enforcement for the California Highway Patrol. The tales run from light in tone to grim, and include stories about pursuits, enforcement stops, physical arrests, fatal and fender-bender accidents, “hairy” situations, and the myriad other human contact events we encounter such as sex on the highway, abandoned passengers, and incidents with pedestrians. There are also hints about how to possibly escape receiving a traffic ticket when you are stopped, suggestions on where to yield if one is safely able to do so, a bit of the my personal history on how I came to be a CHP officer, and stories about some of my “firsts” when working the 30-day break-in period after academy graduation.
