Business/Financial Analyst (montana)
The company: publically traded, based in Colorado, over 500 employees and $300M in annual revenues.
Required skills/experience:
Excel skills: Advanced to Expert
Advanced knowledge of Excel pivot tables/data cubes
Proven ability to rapidly develop ad-hoc financial models, what if scenarios, etc.
Proven ability to think strategically and develop financial models to support business cases
Proven business/financial analysis experience
Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting process in a corporate context
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to closely support senior management in a deadline-driven environment
Other skills/duties:
Report on KPIs/CSFs, collect relevant historical and comparative data
Give analytical support and recommendations on improvements to management and follow-up on implementation
Prepare monthly business review for management; prepare financial reports, charts, etc.
Provide information and analysis for budgeting and forecasting as required
Create models to track financial data and prepare presentations to explain the implications of this data to management
Perform financial analysis for special projects
Assist business groups with margin and profitability analysis
Work closely with account managers and directors in the reconciliation of business objectives, both quantitative and qualitative
Work with Accounting department to ensure business needs and tracking/trending as well as proper reconciliation
Assist department managers with the completion of the annual cost center budgets
Helpful but not essential:
Strong experience with VBA programming in Excel
Knowledge of SQL and dynamic SQL queries in VBA
Experience in building MS Access applications with VBA
Ability to develop software tools (e.g. Dashboards) in MS Excel and MS Access utilizing SQL data connections
4-year degree preferred / 4+ years relevant business experience / Good organizational and time management skills / Strong analytical and mathematical skills / Attention to detail / Team player / $50-55K DOE
