PURPOSE

The Licensing Agent, Digital and New Media Licensing will be primarily responsible for processing licensing transactions that result in royalty collections on behalf of HFA publisher clients.

FUNCTIONS

Daily functions include, but are not limited to:

•Respond to publisher and licensee inquiries as well as partner with the appropriate HFA departments to resolve them as efficiently and as expeditiously as possible.

•Assist management with the development and tracking of licensing KPI’s to evaluate individual and departmental licensing performance.

•Collaborate with management and IT to develop and test new technologies to improve processing throughput and accuracy.

•Assist with licensing and interdepartmental specialized projects, including industry research, as needed.

•Utilize and gain understanding of HFA technology (i.e. the licensing database, Metadata, Cognos, etc.) in order to apply the applications to daily tasks.

•Bachelors Degree with an active interest in the music industry and new media with a general understanding of the issues and economics related to the relationship between artists, labels, digital music services and publishers.
