The result is simply sickening. The interview made Michael out to be a child molester and it seemed that Mr. Bashir didn't care about the truth, all he cared about was entertainment. Later that month, Michael made this documentary, which shows the uncut version of the Bashir interview which shows Mr. Bashir giving a different point of view. Five pre-recorded cassette tapes (2 completely unopened) and two reusable tapes. These cassette tapes are obviously getting harder to find and are collectable as a part of musical history. Two of the tapes (Tom Petty and Reality Bites Soundtrack) are in perfect condition, were never used, and are still shrink-wrapped. All of the cassettes still work perfectly.

Cassette tapes are now collector’s items and in some cases the music on the cassette was mixed differently from the music on the record or CD. The Beatles cassette tape (the Red Album) is now a collector’s item in this cassette format.

David Lean's beautiful adaptation of Noel Coward's play is an absorbing as well as charming look at an English family's struggle for stability between the two World Wars. Lean does a masterful job of gently penetrating human nature with truly imaginative camera direction. Robert Newton and Celia Johnson are brilliant, with an especially poignant performance by Johnson. One of David Lean's best cinematic accomplishments.

The first feature documentary by Ron Mann (GRASS, COMIC BOOK CONFIDENTIAL) is an eloquent tribute to a group of highly celebrated artists that helped forge the avant-garde jazz of the 1960s. Critic and fillm historian Jonathan Rosenbaum has said IMAGINE THE SOUND may be the best documentary on free jazz that we have. The film features articulate interviews and dramatic performances by pianists Cecil Taylor and Paul Bley, tenor saxophone Archie Shepp, and trumpet player Bill Dixon. Not since Scorsese's The Last Waltz has a music documentary been so thorough and compatible with its subject. Alongside the dynamic performances, the film captures the diverse history and politicized roots of this unique musical genre. IMAGINE THE SOUND is an important chapter in the history of the jazz documentary.

THE STORY OF THE LAST CHRYSANTHEMUM, Kenji Mizoguchi 1939 film, 148'.
1939 is probably best remembered for films like "Gone With the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz", but when I think of 1939, I think of 'The Last Chrysanthemum' (and Renoir's 'Rules of the Game'). The story concerns the son of an actor, whose skill pales in comparison to that of his father. He falls in love with a servant who believes in his ability, and as always, they are cast out. The son works his craft with various troupes, while his wife stands faithfully by his side. Eventually, he receives accolade for his skill, which the public finally learns to accept, but all this comes at the expense of his wife's health and life. Quite familiar material to be sure, but Mizoguchi's direction makes the story compelling.

FRANK'S PLACE COMPLETE TV SERIES...RARE

Set in New Orleans, Frank's Place chronicled the life of Frank Parrish (Tim Reid), a well-to-do Boston college professor who inherits a restaurant, Chez Louisiane. In the premiere, Frank travels to New Orleans intending to sell the restaurant. But when Frank returns to Boston, the life he's known there suddenly goes inexplicably haywire. The viewers know the reason: Waitress Emeritus (she waits only on customers of twenty years or more of patronage) of the Chez Louisiane, Miss Marie (Frances E. Williams) has a voodoo spin (curse) put on Frank ensuring that he will come back to carry on his family's business. Feeling he has no choice, Frank returns to New Orleans and makes many discoveries about working-class Black culture, the differences between northern and southern lifestyles, and himself.Daphne Maxwell Reid (Tim Reid's real-life wife) played Hanna Griffin, Frank's love interest. Tony Burton, Virginia Capers, Robert Harper, Lincoln Kilpatrick, Charles Lampkin, Francesca Roberts, Don Yesso, and William Thomas Jr. rounded out the cast.Unlike most sitcom productions which are videotaped, Frank's Place was filmed with a single camera and used no laugh track.It used Louis Armstrong's classic "Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans?" as its theme song.
