1) I have a necklace on a long chain that needs to be shortened and have the clasp reattached at the appropriate point

2) A silver link bracelet needs shortening and needs the clasp changed from a hook-and-eye to something more secure

3) Two pairs of clip-on earrings that I would like to have as posts instead

4) one earring that has lost the wire that goes through the ear and just needs another one to match its mate (or you can put new wires on both if you don't have one that matches the one that's still intact)

I just had this post flagged and removed, but I'm not sure why. I don't know what category to put this under besides creative gigs- I'm looking for a jeweler (a creative job) to teach me some of their trade. Please let me know why you are flagging me for removal...

I am looking for someone who can teach me some basic bench skills- primarily soldering, but also some help with piercing, filing, how to prepare things for a caster, etc. I am self-taught thus far, but I learn much better directly from someone. I don't have a set-up, so I would need to come to your studio, or to a studio that I can rent by the hour. I looked at jewelry classes at the Y, JCC etc, but I want to learn some specific things more than be in a general class. More of an independent study.

I have been making jewelry for about a year now, but it isn't primarily metalwork. However, I'm moving more and more in that direction and I would like to make sure I'm doing things the right way. I'm guessing it would be maybe 4 hours of classes, but I'm not sure, if I'm really learning alot, I may want to keep going. I'm free mostly evenings and weekends, and the odd weekday.

I would like to pay $25/hr, but if your rate is somewhere around here, please let me know, I'm flexible. If you are still in school, that is fine with me too. Please let me know your experience and send me some photos or a link to your site.

A published fashion magazine is looking for SET DRESSERS for an upcoming fashion editorial shoot. The photo shoot consists of 4-6 different set ups to look like the American Girl's atmospheres. One could be a school room, another a farm, etc. I can give you more specific details if you are interested in any or all of the setups. Unfortunately this is not a paid gig but there will be credit and tear sheets given in the published January Issue. Photo shoots will be the second week of December.
