Large 1BR Manhattan for SF Bay Area Christmas (Upper East Side) 1bd

We're staying in the East Bay from Christmas eve to just after New Years and would like to see if someone would be travelling in the opposite direction with a two bedroom there.
We live in an Upper Eastside (luxury, or so they say) doorman elevator building in a convertible two bedroom,. The catch is, we have a dog who would stay in the apt. and need going out. So,

My LA Studio for Your NY Apt, Dec 29 - Jan 7

I'm wanting to swap my clean, well-decorated studio apartment in Los Feliz for a place in NYC, preferably Manhattan, from Dec. 29 to Jan. 7. Dates are somewhat flexible.

The studio is conveniently located between West Hollywood and Hollywood to the West and Silverlake, Echo Park and downtown to the East. The location is ideal, with great restaurants, a small movie theatre, independent bookstore and good shopping all within a block, which means you can walk to experience it all. The iconic Griffith Park observatory is very close and visible from the street and great hiking with expansive views of the entire city in Griffith Park is only a 5 minute drive away.

The apartment is in a row of charming Spanish bungalows. On an extremely quiet street and with nice and quiet neighbors, it's a great place to relax and call home base. Right now sunlight is streaming through my windows and I can hear birds singing. Although it is a studio, the kitchen and bathroom are separate rooms and it certainly doesn't feel too tight. Wifi is provided, as are linens.

I am an ex-New Yorker going to see friends and prefer to have my own space for the trip.

I will be in NYC on a research project from the first week of january 2010 until the middle of march 2010. for this time I would like to swap apartments with someone in NYC
My place is a bright and spacious studio-apartment on the 5th floor (top) of a building from the 80’s. The neighborhood consists of buildings from the sixties up to the eighties. Modernistic concrete blocks, not the 'typical' Berlin housing.

My apartment, approx 60 square meters, (central heating) is a bright, airy two room flat, with a big kitchen and with a spacious sunny balcony, fifth floor, south-west. One room is used as bedroom (with a queen size bed), the other one, I use as a studio (which can be a living room, a second bedroom ect.). Wireless internet as well as cable internet, Television ect. are available.

The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, mixed. Three minutes walk and you can take the streetcar (seven days, 24 hours) to Prenzlauerberg, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, the places with the highest Bar-density and clubs. There is also the S-Bahn, an even faster connection to different centers of the city. Mitte with its galleries and art scene, Wedding with its pulsing (for German conditions) cultural mixtures and a number of parks are just around the corner. Groceries shopping in the Turkish Supermarket or the German one…

All windows face South-West and especially in winter my apartment can be a sun flooded place... and yes, winter can be very beautiful around here...
