Canon EF-S 17-85 Lens flawless condition (Sheesphead Bay ) $350

Professional photographer selling some of his gear. For business I shoot exclusively with full frame gear but for walk around and personal photography I often shoot with a 40D/50D. As such I have used this lens as my "every day walk around lens". This copy is VERY sharp (yes I selected it after evaluating 5 other copies at B and H) and actually requires ZERO micro adjustment on my 50D. (hell even my L lens usually require a bit of adjustment)

I am selling this one year old lens only because I have bought the L caliber 17-55 F2.8 IS for the larger aperture.

After shooting several thousand shots with the 17-85 and almost a thousand with the 17-55 here is my comparison:

the 17-55 is perhaps a hair better with respect to contrast, and two hairs better sharpness. Keep in mind this is looking at 100 or even 200 percent crops. You will NEVER see these differences on an 8 x 10 size print

The 17-85 is MUCH lighter and handles much better than the 17-55 which as far as i can tell must be lined with depleted uranium because it is bloody heavy for a lens of that size.

17-85 is certainly the more flexible of the two as it has a 50 percent greater zoom range.

If I had the space to keep both I would but given i have about 14 other lenses I am trying to minimize the number that can only be used on crop sensor bodies, so this lens has to go.

I paid $475 including tax a little over a year ago, price has gone up a few bucks since then and will likely continue to do so for a lens of this caliber (as do all L lens and a good number of EF lenses too)


The lens is in pristine condition and has had a UV filter on since the day I bought it. (You get the calumet filter which is worth $20 and can be seen in the photos)

Sorry I do not have the box as I use lenses and cameras to take pictures not boxes....

I am asking $350 and may negotiate based on how easy someone makes this transaction for me

Nikon AF 70-210 f4.5-5.6 (Downtown) $110

Nikon AF 70-210 f4.5-5.6 lens for $110, fantastic light weight zoom lens, better than 70-300 today, good contrast and bokeh, very sharp! EX+ condition. Glasses are flawless, no dust no fungi. With UV filter

The 70-210 is Nikon's major Zoom lens in late 90's, it is by far the best rated entry level lens, it features with ED glasses. Although it is not silent wave auto-focus, it actually focus very fast. It's very sharp, the contrast is good, the distortion is minor. It's a very balanced lens, and is a better alternative zoom lens than 55-200 and 70-300. And it is a FX lens.

Mamiya C330 Twin Lens Reflex Medium Format Camera with 2 extra lenses (Bushwick / East Williamsburg) $375

This is one of my favorite cameras, I simply don't use it anymore in my professional work and I am trying to downsize.

It's a great camera for those learning how to use Medium format film in cameras that are nicer than Holgas or Dianas.



It includes the camera body with the attached waist-level finder and 80mm lens as pictured.





In addition there is a prism finder that can replace the waist-level finder.



And two additional lenses, a 105mm and a 135mm.



All of it is in great working condition. The major flaws are cosmetic - the tip of the winder is broken off, but it still winds just fine. Part of the black finish is peeling off on the bottom right hand side as well. Otherwise, all is well with this camera.
I really love it.

Nikon D1X Pro DigiCam mint (oB) $410

I need to sell my Nikon D1X , price as $410 reasonably negotiable , it was the top Nikon professional digital camera. Metal Body, very sturdy, less than 9000 shot. Cover almost all advanced camera functions, can even use manual focus lens. 2 shutter button make you easy to shoot verticals. I just have it cleaned by Phototech 1 month ago, so the sensor is very clean now.



Has 4 batteries with charger. 3 of them can last for about 200-300 shots each since they are old, one of them just bought in the summer with 2300ma can last atleast 600 shots.

Come with a 2G Sandisk Ultra II Compact Flash. To sell it for updates. And it is too heavy as a backup camera for me.



The camera have 5.47 million pixels, but actually use a 10m CCD. So if you are taking RAW(NEF) format photo, you can recover its 10m pixel photo in Nikon's software Capture NX or Capture NX2. That is a real boost in image, not just algorithmic boost. Which make it has superior image quality than D50, D70, D100, D80, D60, D40. Compare with D200, the daytime picture are similar, but the night picture has more noise. To tell the truth, it's not out of time yet.

Most important, you can have all functions that could only be found in professional cameras.
