If one of these three Senators does not vote against the bill it will go the Senate floor. Once it is on the floor it will make it a lot harder to stop. All the Senators know this.

Contact the Senators and let them know if they vote now for the bill you will hold it against them if the health care bill passes even if they vote against the bill in the final vote.

Planned Parenthood Has Gone Too Far!

I just received an unsolicited e-mail from Planned Parenthood
inviting me to join their rally in Washington, D.C. to support Obamacare
and fight the Stupak Amendment.
I must give them $25.00 right away to reserve my bus seat.
They even encouraged me to give an extra $25.00 so they can bring more students to the rally.
STUDENTS TO THE RALLY to support ABORTION!

Who do they think they are, invading my privacy with these types of e-mails?
I do not support abortion and resent being told I should.
I do not support the 2000+ page unread Reid/Pelosi Healthcare Bill and never will.
I DO support the Stupak Amendment which Planned Parenthood
made clear in their unsolicited e-mail to me that they are going to fight tooth and nail.

They encouraged me to tell a friend about the importance of a women's
reproductive rights and even gave me an e-mail and phone number I could
call just in case I have any unanswered questions to ask.

Dr. Cynara Commer, a professor of surgery at Mt. Sinai's Surgical Oncology Department in New York, said she is very concerned that the new guidelines are the top of a slippery slope toward rationing, and questioned the timing as the Senate is about to vote on health care reforms that could end up containing a so-called public option.

"The government-run insurance companies are definitely going to be using these federal guidelines as opposed to using the American Cancer Society guidelines, and the American Cancer Society is not going along with these guidelines, and we can only hope that the private insurance companies don't follow suit," she said.

"I think it's coming down to saving costs. I don't think we should be doing that at the expense of women," she added.

I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic.. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe . Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem .

The Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe . These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions ofEurope , street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe . With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam , Marseille and Malmo in Sweden . In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin. The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels , because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya , Israel . I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe . San Diego Universityrecently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France . One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in theNetherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey .

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I supportIsrael . First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines , Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan , Lebanon , and Aceh in Indonesia . Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel . It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel , Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel , they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, theNetherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome , Athens andJerusalem .

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe , American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe 's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.

We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

STOP MAMMOGRAPHY RATIONING

The federal government has announced new guidelines, recommending fewer screening mammograms for women. This advice flies in the face of long-established scientific positions from the American Cancer Society and the American College of Radiology.

The federal government's guidelines are first sign of health rationing in the form of government panels overruling medical opinion.

Fortunately, for now many doctors will ignore these guidelines and continue to practice according to their medical conscience.

For a long time, President Obama and his political allies have said that his proposals will save money by cutting back unnecessary expensive high-tech health care, and focusing on preventative care.

Now Obama and his political allies want to reduce one of the most scientifically proven preventative measures (screening mammography) on the grounds that it would eliminate unnecessary patient worry and treatment complications. In other words, these restrictions are for our own good.

Just remember, these healthcare restrictions are from the Obama government and there will be many more ahead if Government-run healthcare passes.

The latest example of climate cult fakery comes in the form of the front cover of Al Gore’s new book, Our Choice; A Plan To Solve The Climate Crisis.

Shortly after the devastation of Katrina, Al Gore was busy making a correlation between hurricanes and global warming in an effort to drive home his claim that higher global CO2 emissions cause an increase in extreme weather events. The cover art for Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth, features an image of a hurricane rising out of a smoke stack.

Seemingly underwhelmed that there have been no major hurricanes since Katrina, along with the fact that global hurricane activity is now at a thirty year low, Gore came up with an ingenious method of solving the problem of the lack of scary depictions of frightening hurricanes to display on his book – simply airbrush them in!

Just like the original 2,032-page, government-run health care plan from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-NV) massive, 2,074-page bill would levy a new “abortion premium” fee on Americans in the government-run plan.

Beginning on line 7, p. 118, section 1303 under “Voluntary Choice of Coverage of Abortion Services” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run health plan. Leader Reid’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions (line 13, p. 120).

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run health plan. It’s right there beginning on line 11, page 122, section 1303, under “Actuarial Value of Optional Service Coverage.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account – and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services.

Section 1303(a)(2)(C) describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run health plan and for those who are given an affordability credit to purchase insurance coverage that includes abortion through the Exchange. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.

A majority of Americans believe that health care plans should not be mandated to provide elective abortion coverage, and a majority of Americans do not believe government health care plans should include abortion coverage. Currently, federal appropriations bills include language known as the Hyde Amendment that prohibits the use of federal funds to pay for elective abortions under the Medicare and Medicaid programs, while another provision, known as the Smith Amendment, prohibits federal funding of abortion under the federal employees’ health benefits plan.

Leader Reid’s 2,074-page health care monstrosity is an affront to the American people and drastically moves away from current policy. The National Right to Life Committee has called the Reid abortion language “completely unacceptable.” The American people deserve more from their government than being forced to pay for abortion. The pro-life Stupak/Pitts amendment passed the House by a vote of 240 to 194, enjoying the overwhelming support of 176 Republicans and 64 Democrats. The Stupak/Pitts Amendment codifies current law by prohibiting federal funding of elective abortions under any government-run plan or plans available under the Exchange. The Reid plan ignores the will of a bipartisan majority of the House, and indeed the American people, by rejecting this bipartisan amendment.

Health care reform should not be used as an opportunity to use federal funds to pay for elective abortions. Health reform should be an opportunity to protect human life – not end it – and the American people agree. House Republicans have offered a common-sense, responsible solution that would reduce health care costs and expand access while protecting the dignity of all human life. The Republican plan, available at HealthCare.GOP.gov, would codify the Hyde Amendment and prohibit all authorized and appropriated federal funds from being used to pay for abortion. And under the Republican plan, any health plan that includes abortion coverage may not receive federal funds.

Cap and Trade: A License Required for your Home

We encourage you to read the provisions of the Cap and Trade Bill that has passed the House of Representatives and being considered by the Senate. We are ready to join the next TEA PARTY MARCH on Washington! This Congress and whoever on their staffs that write this junk are truly out to destroy the middle class of the USA....

Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. H.R. 2454, the "Cap & Trade" bill passed by the House of Representatives, if also passed by the Senate, will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced. The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year. No one is excluded. However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure these voters get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America will have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else.


But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this:
A year from now you won't be able to sell your house. Yes, you read that right. The caveat is (there always is a caveat) that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes ("mobile homes") are included.
In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator.
To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured.
Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be forced to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements.
Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a "label" in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner.
If you don't get a high enough rating, you can't sell. And, the EPA administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act. The EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009") and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he alone determines to be in the government's best interest. Requirements are set low initial y so the bill will pass Congress; then the Administrator can set much tougher new standards every year.
The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings.
However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time. Sect. 202:
Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency of all existing homes across America .

Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year and will be really hard (i.e., ex$pen$ive) to meet in a few years. Oh, goody! The Act allows the government to give you a grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements if you meet certain energy efficiency levels. But, wait, the State can set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants. You should expect requirements such as "can't have an income of more than $50K per year", "home selling price can't be more than $125K", or anything else to target the upper middle class (and that's YOU) and prevent them from qualifying for the grants.
Most of us won't get a dime and will have to pay the entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more "change you can believe in."

Sect. 204:
Building Energy Performance Labeling Program establishes a labeling program that for each individual residence will identify the achieved energy efficiency performance for "at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act."

This means that within 5 years 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get an additional $20M each year to help enforce the labeling program. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming up with tougher standards each year. Oh, the label will be like a license for your car. You will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without having this label. And, just like your car license, you will probably be required to get a new label every so often - maybe every year. But, the government estimates the cost of measuring the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time.
Remember what they said about the auto smog inspections when they first started: that in California it would only cost $15. That was when the program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate; a 333% increase. Expect the same from the home labeling program.

Sect. 304:
Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines for the National Building Code and mandates at 304(d), Application of National Code to State and Local Jurisdictions, that 1 year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.

The House Sergeant at Arms work with all Members of Congress and their top staff, particularly those Members who sit on the House Judiciary, Homeland Security, and Intelligence Committees, to perform background checks on staff under their employ, considering evidence that CAIR has strategically worked to place staffers there.
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service perform a full and thorough investigation into the business activities of CAIR, specifically their lobbying activities, to judge if they are in violation of their federal non-profit status as a 501c3 organization.
Further, we REJECT all attempts by CAIR to discredit those who call for a formal investigation into their organization by falsely arguing such action is “anti-Muslim.” This has been an oft-used distraction tactic of theirs, and it is time it came to an end. This issue is about CAIR and only CAIR.
We REMIND our elected officials that their primary responsibility to our nation’s citizens is to PROTECT AND DEFEND, and we therefore URGE them to take immediate action on this matter.

Clark, who was the former Supreme Allied Commander of US Forces in Europe, and a contender for the 2004 Democratic Presidential nomination, also said that there must be an exit strategy in place, if the U.S. were to increase the number of troops in Afghanistan. He said that Al Qaeda is not in Afghanistan—therefore a stronger relationship with Pakistan is what is needed there. Preventing Afghanistan from becoming a terrorist haven can be accomplished through diplomacy and many other means besides military, he said. Clark's testimony has gone largely unreported.

• "End the U.S. Occupation and Air War in Afghanistan" is the title of a resolution endorsed by the executive board of the California Democratic Party which met on Nov. 14-15. It calls for establishing "a timetable for withdrawal of our military personnel" and "an end to the use of mercenary contractors as well as an end to air strikes that cause heavy civilian casualties." In place of military presence, the resolution demands Obama "oversee a redirection of our funding and resources to include an increase in humanitarian and developmental aid." One of the those who spoke for the resolution was former Marine Corporal Rick Reyes, who served in Afghanistan. "There is no military solution in Afghanistan.... The problems in Afghanistan are social problems that a military cannot fix," he said, reported The Nation.

• Five members of the Progressive Caucus of Congress — Mike Honda (Calif.), Jim McGovern (Mass.), Raul Grijalva (Ariz.), Lynn Woolsey (Calif.) and Barbara Lee (Calif.) sent a letter to Obama stating, "We are concerned about committing additional US troops and taxpayer dollars ... especially when the US mission is unclear and when methods for measuring mission effectiveness are underdeveloped or nonexistent." Lee also proposed a bill to cut funding for the war in Afghanistan.

If you and I are smart enough to know what will happen all the Senator should be smart enough to know what will happen. President Obama was supposed the first post-partisan president who would usher in a new era of openness and transparency in government. But the Democrats that are charged with sheparding his policies through Congress are rapidly making him the most-partisan President.

From February’s largely party-line passage of the stimulus package -- 60-38 in the Senate and 246-183 in the House -- congressional action has only gotten more desperately partisan.

In May, Rep. Henry Waxman rammed the Waxman-Markey climate bill through the House Energy and Commerce on a partisan 33-25 vote without providing committee members with a thorough analysis of the bill by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).


Then at 3:00 am on the day of the final House vote on Waxman-Markey, Rep. Waxman dropped a 300-page amendment on the 1,200-page bill and then forced members to vote on the bill a scant 15 hours later. So much for Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s promise to make bills available to the public for 72 hours before a vote.

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) yesterday announced its recommendation that women between the age of 40 and 50 years old, whose only risk factor is age, skip that yearly mammogram. While at first glance this may simply seem like a bad idea coming out of a flawed study, a closer look reveals a more ominous rationale behind the decision: cost savings.

This may be the first big hint of what nationalized health care will do: sacrifice care standards -- and lives -- to save money.

The USPSTF is a government controlled comparative-effectiveness research task force. They changed the “guidelines” for breast cancer screenings for women, making recommendations based only on saving money. Should the Democrats’ government takeover of health care become law, these won’t be new guidelines -- they’ll be the new government mandates used to ration health care.

From The Politico: "Mounting evidence that independent voters have soured on the Democrats is prompting a debate among party officials about what rhetorical and substantive changes are needed to halt the damage." Rhetorical? That means call in George Lakoff (rhymes with) to give 'em new words to issue confidence to people. "Following serious setbacks with independents in off-year elections earlier this month, White House officials attributed the defeats to local factors and said President Barack Obama sees no need to reposition his own image or the Democratic message.

"Since then, however, a flurry of new polls makes clear that Democrats are facing deeper problems with independents," and with unemployment not expected to ease by the next elections, these people are in panic mode. "Gallup Poll released last week offered a disturbing glimpse about the state of play: just 14 percent of independents approve of the job Congress is doing, the lowest figure all year. In just the past few days alone, surveys have shown Democratic incumbents trailing Republicans among independent voters by double-digit margins in competitive statewide contests in places as varied as Connecticut, Ohio and Iowa," all Democrat states.

And, the Republicans continue to increase their lead in the generic ballot, meaning you're going to vote Republican or Democrat in the next congressional races. Nathan Daschle, executive director of the Democratic Governors Association: "We withdrew from the accounts of voters and now we need to pay them back. We are having these conversations right now about what independents need to see and hear." So the Democrats are talking among themselves about how to say things that will get independents back in the party. "Pat Waak, the chairwoman of the Colorado Democratic Party, said the party had so far failed to convince independent voters of the steps it had taken to improve the economy." That's because the economy has not improved. It has gotten worse. Rhetoric ain't going to help these guys this time. There's too much suffering, there's too much pain, and the dirty little secret is... Have you seen the rising gasoline prices out there? Have you noticed them?

Now, they are not being reported this time around since Obama's in the White House. But gasoline prices are trickling up and we're getting close to $80-a-barrel oil. Not there yet but we're getting close to it. We don't need to hit a hundred-dollar-a-barrel oil for there to be real economic impact here -- and fuel prices includes heating oil going into the very cold winter that is forecast by the Farmers' Almanac, NASA and Nostradamus. So it's looking bleak out there. And here from Chris Cillizza at the Washington Post: "The most important number in politics today: 1. That's the number of issue areas where a majority of political independents approve of the job President Barack Obama is doing, according to a new Washington Post/ABC News national survey. Only on international affairs does Obama get majority support with 57 percent of independents offering approval for the job he is doing."

Quinnipiac, by the way, has him down to what, 48% today? Gallup has him teetering around 50%. The Rasmussen index is at minus 14. This is the difference between strongly approve and strongly disapprove. That means that there are 14 percentage points more people that strongly disapprove of Obama than approve, and I have a question about that. Obama's Rasmussen approval index dropped to its lowest point ever today. It's minus 14. Why would this be? I have a multiple choice question for you. Please choose between... A: News that the government may be setting up women for rationing screening for breast cancer; B: Fines and incarceration for not buying into Obamacare; C: Death panels, funding abortion, and illegals receiving Obamacare; D: Bowing to royalty; E: Khalid Sheikh Mohammed getting a show trial in New York City. (More on that because Holder is testifying about it today in just a moment.) How about a national debt over $12 trillion? Well, the next ten years with no end in site; dithering in Afghanistan; stonewalling Congress on an investigation of the terror attack at Fort Hood, and the president's indifference to the attack when it happened; double-digit unemployment. Or could it be J: "All of the above"?

All of the above, ladies and gentlemen, minus 14 on the Rasmussen approval index. And, remember, President Obama says creating jobs is not the goal of a coming White House forum on jobs and economic growth.

Two Chicago men accused of developing what federal prosecutors call a blueprint for a terrorist assault on a Danish newspaper also are being investigated for possible involvement in planning the November 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, according to authorities in that country.

David Coleman Headley, 49, and Tahawwur Hussain Rana, 48, are accused of plotting to kill one of the editors and a cartoonist at Danish paper Jyllands-Posten for publishing 12 cartoons in 2005 depicting the Prophet Muhammad, which ignited outrage in much of the Muslim world. They were arrested last month.

The FBI has said only that it has evidence Headley and Rana were in contact with the Pakistani group Lashkar-e-Taiba, which the Indian government blames for the Mumbai attacks that left 166 dead and 308 wounded. U.S. authorities say Headley was in contact with the group while he allegedly carried out reconnaissance this year near the newspaper offices in Copenhagen. They say Rana last year advised a member of the group on how to slip people into the U.S.

Officials in India say Headley also may have been involved in planning the Mumbai attacks during a visit to India before the attacks.

"We are investigating in the Indian cities where he went and whom he met," India's home minister, Palaniappan Chidambaram, told reporters last week.

Chidambaram said authorities began investigating both Headley and Rana last week. He did not provide further details. The U.S. attorney's office would not comment.

Attorneys for Headley declined to comment Wednesday on reports about India's investigation or the U.S. charges against their client.

Rana's defense attorney, Patrick Blegen, has said he may be an innocent dupe of Headley, whom he may have met when both attended a school in Pakistan. The FBI claims Rana helped arrange Headley's travel.

Headley is a U.S. citizen who changed his name from Daood Gilani in 2006 to get across international boundaries without too many questions at customs, according to an FBI affidavit.

He and Rana, a Pakistani immigrant to Canada who has lived in Chicago for a decade, are charged in criminal complaints with conspiring to provide material support to terrorism and providing material support to terrorism. They will not enter pleas until they are indicted.

Blegen said his client would deny the charges if asked.

For now, the only firm association the FBI is indicating between the men and the Pakistani terrorist organization is related to the alleged plot against the paper, although they say the men talked about possible attacks on other foreign targets.

According to court papers, Rana had a discussion with a someone affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba in late 2008 who was identified only as Individual B. The discussion, conducted by e-mail, included a warning from Rana not to use student visas to get people into the country.

Federal officials also have outlined a chronology of communications between Headley and Pakistan-based terrorist groups that begins in December 2008, the month after the Mumbai attacks, and continues until just before his arrest. The FBI says Headley traveled to Pakistan this year and may have been headed there when he was arrested Oct. 3 at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport en route to Philadelphia.

According to an FBI affidavit, Headley admitted working with Lashkar-e-Taiba, knowing that it had been designated by the U.S. government as a foreign terrorist organization, and with Ilyas Kashmiri, a leader of another Pakistan-based terrorist organization, Harakat ul Jihad Islami.

Headley allegedly told the FBI that individuals supplied by Kashmiri were to carry out the attack on the newspaper. Kashmiri is described in a State Department report as a commander of terrorist forces in Kashmir and a former commander in the Afghan jihad.

Experts say both groups were born out of the decades-old friction between Pakistan and India, particularly over the disputed territory of Kashmir, and have a long history of violence.

"These are two very lethal groups," says Juan Zarate, a former deputy national security adviser for fighting terrorism.

Federal prosecutors also have made it clear that they intercepted numerous phone conversations and e-mails between Headley and a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba, whom they identified in court papers as Individual A. The two men allegedly talked of the planned attack in Denmark, which they called "the Mickey Mouse Project" and "the northern project," according to court papers.

From Denmark, Headley allegedly traveled to Pakistan, where he met with Individual A and visited the Federally Administered Tribal Area in northwest Pakistan to meet with Kashmiri. He returned to Chicago in mid-June, the court papers say.

The papers allege that after his return to Chicago, Headley communicated with another person identified as Lashkar-e-Taiba Member A, who said he had "new investment plans." Investigators say that referred to a terrorist attack other than the Danish one.

"And by a 51 percent to 45 percent margin, those questioned in the survey think that women who get abortions should pay the full costs out of their own pocket[s.]" Gosh, this had to kill them to report that! Can you imagine?

But of course, it doesn't matter what we think because the final health care bill will fund abortions. It won't pass if it doesn't. All it needs is Democrat votes, and if it -- Well, what do you mean it won't pass if it does? You mean in the Senate? If it doesn't have federally funded abortions in the House, it doesn't have a prayer. They gotta take out the Stupak language, you gotta take it out. And they've said they're going to take it out, and Axelrod said he's going to take it out. And Stupak said (paraphrase), "Whoa, wait a minute! Wait a minute, Axelrod! You're not a legislator! You can't tell us what you're going to do here." 'Cause Axelrod did go out and say (paraphrase), "We're going to have to take that out of there." Now, if it's in there now, it passed the House. But the Senate, no. So either way they go, it's not gonna pass if it's in there and it's not going to pass if it is in there. Another Obama nominee runs into tax problems

President Barack Obama's choice for a top job in the Treasury Department did not disclose all of her late tax payments until she was repeatedly prodded by Senate investigators, a congressional report issued Wednesday said.

Obama's nominee for undersecretary of the Treasury for international affairs, Lael Brainard, is the fifth presidential nominee to reveal tax issues during the congressional vetting process.

Brainard was late in paying real estate taxes in 2005, 2006 and 2007 on property in Northern Virginia, according to the report by the Senate Finance Committee staff.

The report also challenges the accuracy of a deduction Brainard claimed for running an office from her home. The challenge led Brainard to reduce the deduction on her 2008 return, though she declined to adjust returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007, telling committee staff she used a reasonable method to calculate the deductions.

Brainard paid most of the late property taxes before she was nominated, in March. However, she told the committee that she realized after her nomination that her 2008 property taxes had not been paid. They were paid in September, the report said.

Brainard is current in all her taxes, said Treasury spokesman Andrew Williams.

"At no time during the Committee staff's consideration of her nomination has Ms. Brainard been informed that the staff believes she owes additional tax, nor has she been asked to file any amended tax returns," Williams said.

The amounts in question were relatively small. Brainard paid $121.75 in interest and $1,279.34 in penalties on late real estate tax payments, the report said.

But the committee's top Republican, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is unhappy that the committee staff had to submit 10 sets of questions to Brainard before getting complete information about the late payments.

After Brainard was nominated last spring, the Finance Committee had her fill out a routine questionnaire that asked whether she had made any late tax payments in the past 10 years. Her initial response did not include all the late payments. It did, however, acknowledge she had made late unemployment insurance payments for household employees "on a number of occasions," the report said.

"The dollar amounts involved aren't large compared to some other administration nominees this year, but the lack of candor, accuracy and timeliness in addressing the issues has been discouraging," Grassley said.

Finance Committee Democrats rushed to Brainard's defense. "I am satisfied Ms. Brainard has taken the steps necessary to fix the discrepancies in documents submitted to the committee," said Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Finance Committee. "We intend to move forward as soon as possible on this nomination, to bolster the efforts at Treasury and strengthen America's recovery at home and abroad."

Brainard's husband, Assistant Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, is the top U.S. diplomat for East Asia. Brainard and Campbell ran an international affairs consulting firm out of their home.

If confirmed by the Senate, Brainard would oversee American policies on issues including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and international tax treaties. Brainard was a deputy national economic adviser for international affairs during the Clinton administration.

Timothy Geithner was confirmed as Treasury secretary after it was disclosed that he had to pay more than $34,000 in back taxes and interest on income he made while working for the International Monetary Fund.

Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle withdrew as a nominee to become Health and Human Services after it was disclosed that he failed to pay $128,000 in taxes.

Activist and perennial third-party presidential candidate Ralph Nader talks exclusively to Michael Taylor about the 2008 election, the ‘Obama swoon' and Australia's ongoing subservience to the US

Ralph Nader is the reason for seatbelts, product labelling and the Environmental Protection Agency. He has organised millions into over 100 public interest groups that have been instrumental in establishing the Freedom of Information Act, the Clean Air and Water Acts and countless others. Time has named him one of the 100 most influential Americans of the 20th century.

What did America gain from your standing this year?

Well, we kept the progressive agenda alive before millions of people that we connected with in our local media and events, and put some pressure on the two parties in slowing their race to the bottom.

Our campaign gave young people especially an opportunity to become more skilled in clean politics, electioneering and organisation. They'll become the leaders of the future.

And we advanced the civil liberties struggle on behalf of candidate rights to get on the ballot and into debates and to be heard, without which voters are kept in the dark and stripped of choice.

How would you compare it with your previous runs, especially 2000?

Pretty much the same. When things don't change much on the ground in policy and legislation, you just have to keep banging on the door.

As for 2000, it's amazing how people still scapegoat the Greens for that. The studies have shown that by pushing Gore he got more votes than he would've gotten if I wasn't there. And Bush never won the election - he was selected by five Republican politicians in a rump decision by the Supreme Court.

How would you sum up the health of elections in the US from a third-party point of view?

It's not good. We're under a corporate-indentured two-party dictatorship that has numerous ways to exclude competition by third-party and independent candidates. That means people are denied choices, which is the essence of democracy.

You're excluded from the debates, [which are] the only way, unless you're a multi-billionaire, to reach tens of millions of people in the fall of a presidential election. And because of that, the national media don't cover you.

Now in every major poll since 2000 a majority of Americans wanted me on those debates, so if they can exclude me, they can do it to anyone. So I'm a good exhibit to document the grand illusion, the myth, of voter choice here.

On top of that are the mountainous hurdles that dozens of states place obstructing us getting on the ballot to begin with. Now when all that happens, what's left of a presidential election?

The two parties choreograph their agendas and trips and are not challenged, and they are increasingly converging so that their similarities tower over the dwindling differences they're willing to fight over.

Will you run again in 2012?

No decision on that.

Are you surprised Obama won?

Well, by October I predicted it would be a landslide for him, but definitely. I originally predicted the two nominees would be McCain and Clinton.

How would you sum up Obama's road to the White House?

Irresistible expediency in order to win. People say, ‘He had to do that to win.' Well, he was lucky - a lot of politicians start out good and become expedient and still lose big. [Plus] the Bush-Cheney regime was an easy act to follow. They were 20 per cent in the polls.

Also, most people heard his message that he was against the war from the start and that helped him. Despite the fact that he wasn't in the Senate during the vote and voted for every appropriation but one to fund the war once he was - [he] voted for the Patriot Act reauthorisation...

And look, it's traditional that people get cold feet and want to vote for the winner or the least worst regardless of whether it's a slam-dunk Republican or Democrat state. They don't think Electoral College and say, ‘OK, we're gonna send a message by voting for another candidate.'

But this year it was far more pronounced by what I call the ‘Obama swoon' - people would tell me they were going to vote for me, but that they felt an almost magnetic pull to be part of history and be able to tell their friends they voted for Obama.

It's psychology, not politics.

What do you make of the record $600 million the Obama campaign raised?

What most people missed in their glowing reviews of how much money he raised in small amounts over the Internet without strings attached was that he raised far more corporate interest, Wall Street and corporate lawyer money than anybody in American history. With strings attached. And the question that beckons is: Why are all these commercial interests investing in him? Because he's demonstrated he's their man.

Was there anything positive you saw in the election? The enthusiasm and record turnout?

Well, it was a big turnout. It was a euphoric turnout and a high-expectation turnout, but without a mandate.

In what way?

He was so vague: hope, change, change, hope. No specifics. He didn't even have a living wage programme, had no programme dealing with the 100 million poor Americans, never campaigned in poor areas or with black leaders, never even mentioned the word poor. So it was very disappointing in that sense.

What about the new face America presents to world?

Well, image is important and it is an unprecedented upward career move - the first African-American president. But once the celebrations are concluded, the question remains: Is it going to be more than that?

But given the celebrations around the world, won't he at least heal some of the rifts caused by the Bush administration, especially in areas like the Middle East?

A lot of third-world people think, ‘He has to be with the Israelis and the Zionists to get elected, but deep in his heart he is for us!' That's what was reflected in those celebrations.

But with Israel and Palestine at least, there's not going to be any change. Rahm Emanuel is part of the hard-line pro-Israeli AIPAC [American Israel Public Affairs Committee] lobby and now he's Chief of Staff.

So what do you think they will be most surprised at one year from now?

How much he continues Bush's foreign and military policies.

So there'll be absolutely no change?

Well, I wouldn't say absolutely... But he was belligerent towards Russia and Iran and he's an AIPAC guy even though he was an articulate supporter of Palestinian rights in Chicago circles before he ran for election. And he wants an even bigger military budget.

So how has Obama gone from someone who talks in Dreams from My Father about working for a Ralph Nader offshoot in Harlem to someone you've characterised as cowardly, shameful and character-deficient?

Again, political expediency. He's not a transformational/challenging personality, he's a harmony/ideology personality. And that's basically a cover for him not wanting to take on organised power.

Then when do you think the honeymoon's over?

Very early. Look who he's surrounding himself with: corporate Clinton retreads and even some of the Bushites.

If he puts in some executive orders reversing some of Bush's environment and consumer deregulation of his administration's last weeks, he'll look pretty good. But only because Bush was so bad. And that won't last.

How do you think the Rudd-Obama relationship will differ from the Howard-Bush relationship?

I've always been astonished at one PM after another in Australia demonstrating how much of a toady he is to the White House. But Howard gave new meaning to the term ‘down under'. Such obeisance. I had an empathetic feeling of shame for the Australian people for having a leader who couldn't think for himself or carve out a different kind of policy, not just in Asia but Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, the environment. Rudd's at least not as supplicant-oriented...

Australia ought to stop thinking so little of itself. It should be more than a big continent, it should be a big moral and diplomatic player. An honest broker.

Australia has the biggest troop presence outside of NATO in Afghanistan. Will Rudd be asked to send more troops?

Definitely. Obama's sending more US soldiers and he has to cover himself by saying he's gotten more Allied soldiers.

And that is a quagmire of quagmires. It's like putting fire on gasoline. That problem can only be dealt with diplomatically. All the civilian casualties are simply expanding the opposition.

No-one ever conquers those people. The British empire failed twice, the Soviet empire failed and the American empire will fail.

Given Obama's time in Indonesia growing up, will there be more of a focus on Asia?

I don't think so... He doesn't understand Arab culture, Islamic culture, Afghanistan, certainly not Iran.

What about China?

Not much will change because our China policy is very heavily determined by the imbalance of trade and US multinational corporate presence in China shipping products here.

A day after the election you asked on Fox News if Obama would be ‘an Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or an Uncle Tom for the giant corporations who are running America into the ground'. How does a comment like that help your cause?

He's the racist. When somebody turns on their own race and ignores them, you don't think that's the worst kind of racism imaginable?

But I didn't say he's an Uncle Tom. I said we applaud the first African-American president and we wish him well, but as president that's a question he'll have to face.

But how does it help you build a progressive movement?

It's deeds, not words. The liberal/progressive intelligentsia are enraged by words they think are politically incorrect, but not at all upset over the realities those words are intended to focus on.

Every day, people are dying because they can't afford health insurance. And guess who's dying most? Minorities, including African-Americans. When was the last time they created an uproar over that?

I preceded the comment with Obama's pro-corporate positions. And who runs corporations? Of the Fortune 500, 493 are white. That's amazing in a post-Civil Rights America.

But given that the night prior there were people in that crowd in Chicago who had walked arm-in-arm with Martin Luther King moved to tears...

Listen, I've worked with so many black people over the years who get totally disgusted with their elected black leaders who turn their backs on them in safe districts gerrymandered to perpetuate their re-election, who have become Uncle Toms to the white power structure.

That's what's on black people's minds. Definitely. Every minority elected candidate has to ask themselves, ‘Am I still standing up for my people?' If they don't, who will?

The important thing is getting people agitated out of their slumber so even if they come out wrong-headed they've got a base to be enlightened later on.

Dear President Obama,

You are nearing the day of decision as to whether you order the dispatch of more soldiers to Afghanistan.

Some of your advisors have urged up to 50,000 more soldiers, including several thousand called trainers of the Afghan army.

Other advisors have urged more caution, notably the U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan and former general, Karl W. Eikenberry, who opposes more soldiers so long as the Afghan government remains grossly dysfunctional.

Beside your own military and civilian advisors, you are receiving disparate counsel from an anemic Congress and your allies abroad.

But are you soliciting advise from stateside civic groups of experience and repute that represent many Americans? Or from genuine experts on that country such as Ashraf Ghani—a former American professor and later respected member of the Karzai government before his departure to other positions in that country?

George W. Bush, in the duplicitous run-up to the invasion of Iraq, insulated himself, closed his mind and refused to meet with civic associations in his own land. Like an autocrat bent on plunging a country into war and occupation, knowingly on false pretenses, he deliberately deprived himself of the information that might have restrained his disastrous, messianic militarism. Disastrous, not to him and Dick Cheney, but to our country, soldiers, and economy, and to the devastated Iraqi people and their ravaged nation.

In the months before the March 20, 2003, undeclared criminal war of aggression that violated our Constitution, statutes, and treaties, a dozen organizations each formally requested a meeting with him.

These organizations represented tens of millions of Americans. They came from the clergy, labor, environmentalists, businesses, students, peace groups, womens’ groups, city councils, consumer, veteran, teachers groups, and international security experts. Many also came with first hand experience in Iraq and the Middle East.

They wanted to meet with their president. He never even answered their letters. The letters are available at nader.org.

Who would have thought last year that on assuming the presidency, that you would consider plunging deeper in to this quagmire without an exit strategy? The deeper you plunge, the greater your rejection of the history of occupations fueling insurgencies in that region. The more you insulate yourself from contrary judgments to those you have been receiving from your inner councils. Our country, its people and innocent Afghan people will pay the price.

A recent resignation by Matthew P. Hoh, a former marine combat captain in Iraq and highly regarded foreign service officer in Afghanistan, provides an independent analysis of the grievances afflicting the 42 million Pashtuns. In his words:
The Pashtun insurgency, which is composed of multiple, seemingly infinite, local groups, is fed by what is perceived by the Pashtun people as a continued and sustained assault, going back centuries, on Pashtun land, culture, traditions and religion by internal and external enemies. The U.S. and NATO presence and operations in Pashtun valleys and villages, as well as Afghan army and police units that are led and composed of non-Pashtun soldiers and police, provide an occupation force against which the insurgency is justified. In both RC East and South, I have observed that the bulk of the insurgency fights not for the white banner of the Taliban, but rather against the presence of foreign soldiers and taxes imposed by an unrepresentative government in Kabul.

The United States military presence in Afghanistan greatly contributes to the legitimacy and strategic message of the Pashtun insurgency. In a like manner our backing of the Afghan government in its current form continues to distance the government from the people. The Afghan government’s failings, particularly when weighed against the sacrifice of American lives and collars, appear legion and metastatic.

Mr. Hoh proceeds to list these persistent failings and adds his articulate doubts about the strategic purposes of your Administration’s military presence in Afghanistan. He ask, “Why and to what end?” His letter of conscience and protest concludes by noting the limitless effects on our foreign and military policy, and on our country and its economy.

Your staff estimates each U.S. soldier is costing $1 million a year, in addition to the horrific toll on these soldiers and the Afghan people. You owe the American people an un-Bush-like explanation. Why are you not receiving these groups of American from varied backgrounds and experience at the White House on this pending Afghan decision?

They may wonder, by contrast, why you have so many White House meetings with major corporate CEOs from Wall Street, from the health insurance companies and the drug companies. Is not the White House the peoples’ House? Along with many other citizens in our country, I look forward to your response.

Sens. Webb and Alexander Introduce Bill for 100 Nuclear Power Plants

November 18, 2009 (LPAC)—Sens. Jim Webb (D-VA) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN)introduced a bill in the US Senate for 100 new nuclear power plants to be built in the next 20 years, essentially doubling the amount of nuclear generated power in the U.S. While far short of the 6,000 nuclear plants which are actually needed worldwide by 2050, and while also appealing to the insane climate-change justification for "carbon clean" nuclear power, Sen. Webb countered the inanity of the current climate change bills in the House and Senate in his floor speech on Nov. 16, putting another nail in the coffin of "cap and trade." Webb pointed to the contradiction between the mounting energy needs and the fact that no nuclear plants have been built in 30 years, offshore oil expansion was stopped over an incident 40 years ago, and coal is denounced as "too dirty." He said we must act on what we "know and what we need," rather than on people's fears. He said that he could not support the climate-change bills in their present form, and that the nuclear option could and should be begun immediately.

Webb especially emphasized that "one of the greatest benefits of a nuclear program is the quality individuals it produces," looking back to his days at the Naval Academy, where "the quality of training was unsurpassed. We must see this again — creating both skilled craftsmen as well as nuclear engineers."

Both Webb and Alexander spoke to the 2009 Winter Meeting of the American Nuclear Society Nov. 16 on the proposal, called "The Clean Energy Act of 2009," for $20 billion in loan guarantees, nuclear education and workforce training, research, extension of the life of the existing plants, and a sop to other "alternatives" like biofuel and solar.

Alexander said: "The Chinese are starting a new nuclear power plant every two to three months. The Japanese obtain a third of their power from nuclear plants and build new reactors from start-to-finish in less than four years. France gets eighty percent of its electricity from nuclear power and, as a result, has among the lowest electric rates and carbon emissions in Western Europe. Russia plans to double its nuclear power capacity. The United Arab Emirates is planning three new reactors by 2020. And just last week, the United Kingdom announced it will build ten." He detailed the wastefulness of solar and windfarms, adding: "Think of it this way: if we were going to war we wouldn't mothball our nuclear navy and start subsidizing sailboats."

According to an article in the Nov. 16, 2009 New York Times, 'unemployment has hit migrant communities in the United States so hard, that a startling new phenomenon has been detected: instead of receiving remittances from relatives in the richest country on earth, some down-and-out Mexican families are scraping together what they can to support their unemployed loved ones in the United States."

There is probably an element of drug money laundering going on in this, which we are further investigating. But the underlying physical economic collapse of the economies on both sides of the border, is the dynamic causing this new phenomenon.

Over the last three decades of British free trade and globalization, there has been a mass exodus of some 13 million Mexicans, who were driven to the United States as virtual economic refugees in search of sustenance for themselves and their families back home in Mexico. Not only could the Mexican economy no longer maintain these workers; their families back home were kept alive by the remittances they sent, which reached a peak of $25 billion in 2007.

In the previous article, we discussed the 6 seals, which represent the first 6,000 years of the earth's temporal existence. I also pointed out that, at the opening of the 6th seal, the sun would be turned black like sackcloth and the moon turned into blood. There will also be a great earthquake unlike this earth has ever seen.


Personally, I believe that this earthquake will trigger numerous volcanic eruptions. I also believe these volcanic eruptions will emit enough debris into the atmosphere to cause the sun to turn black and the moon to turn into blood.


The opening of the sixth seal, or, the beginning of the 6th thousand years, will also be followed by the days of "tribulation" that most Christians believe in.


13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her auntimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.


14 aAnd the heaven departed as a bscroll when it is rolled together; and every cmountain and island were moved out of their places.


15 And the akings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the bdens and in the rocks of the mountains;


16 And said to the amountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:


17 For the great aday of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to bstand?




John saw that after the 6th seal was opened, 144,000 would be "sealed" up against the day of judgement.:


1 And after these things I saw four aangels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four bwinds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.


2 And I saw another angel aascending from the east, having the bseal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,


3 Saying, aHurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have bsealed the cservants of our God in their foreheads.


4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an ahundred and forty and four thousand of all the btribes of the children of cIsrael.




I believe that, because this group is called "servants of God" that they will play a major role in preaching the Gospel of Christ, and gathering out the righteous before and during the great days of tribulation. John saw the large multitude that were gathered out:


9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and akindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and bpalms in their hands;




The 144,000 were numbered (12,000 from each tribe of Israel). The multitude they gathered out was without number. John was told who this group was:


13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?


14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came aout of great btribulation, and have cwashed their robes, and made them dwhite in the eblood of the fLamb.


15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his atemple: and he that bsitteth on the throne shall cdwell among them.


16 They shall hunger no more, neither athirst any more; neither shall the bsun light on them, nor any heat.


17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of awaters: and God shall wipe away all btears from their eyes.




I believe that this multitude includes those who, in our day, are brutally persecuted and harassed for trying to adhere to a code of honor that shows a deep respect for both life and liberty consistent with Biblical standards.


More importantly, this scripture defines the purpose of going through "tribulations". They have a cleansing effect on the individual that results in greater humility and a desire to be more spiritually developed. Some assume that the more trials and tribulations others have in their lives, the farther they are from God.


They view trials and tribulations as a punishment from God. This type of thinking could not be further from the truth. As Paul stated:


6 For whom the Lord loveth he achasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye aendure bchastening, God dealeth with you as with csons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?


8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. (Hebrews)




So, it would appear, the greater the trials and tribulations, the greater the opportunity for personal development. I have come to be grateful from my mortal experiences and now realize that I have gotten a first class education in both good and evil.


It would also appear that those who are free from these experiences are not really learning much while they go through mortality.


I don't think that we should go out looking for trouble, or that we should make stupid choices that we know will hurt ourselves or others. If you live a good life, trust me, you will have more trouble than you can handle. (Discuss This Article with myself and Others)

Snow Jobs, Stimulus Jobs, What's the Difference? (Larouchepac.com)

November 18, 2009 (LPAC)—An exclusive report from ABC News Monday, exposed that the Obama administration, through the Office of Management and Budget, has "slashed" 60,000 jobs (10%) from the 600,000 jobs supposedly created by the Obama Stimulus Plan. From the description, "jobs" were being "saved or created" literally out of thin air, by direct instructions of the administration.

Over the past days, reports had been surfacing of outlandish claims of job creation, such as one from Taladega County in Alabama, which claimed that 5,000 jobs were "saved or created" after receiving only $42,000 in Stimulus money! The Southwest Georgia Community Action Council reported 935 jobs saved, when they only employ 508 people. The Boston Globe reported that Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts claimed to have created 160 work-study jobs, with only $77,000 in funds. USA Today reported that a Texas roofing contract "saved" 450 jobs with $26,000 cash, when it only employed 6 people, and on it went.

Associated Press confirmed last week that some (if not most) of this over-reporting was not accidental. After interviewing some of the people at the Administration for Children and Families at the Health and Human Services Department, they discovered that, of 14,506 jobs "saved" in the Head Start program, 9,300 jobs claimed as "saved," were people who had merely received a raise, paid for with federal stimulus cash. In fact, Head Start directors were told, by the administration, to multiply their existing employees by "the percentage pay raise they received," and report that number as jobs saved. Thus in the case of the Southwest Georgia Community Action Council, their claim of 935 jobs saved was "calculated" exactly according to instructions!

Other over-reporting was concentrated in education-related funding, for possibly the same reasons. A Bridgewater College spokesman "corrected" its reported number as a "mistake" and said that the number was actually "almost nothing," according to the Globe.

All this was too much for even some Democrats. Rep David Obey (WI) blasted the mistakes as "outrageous" and "ludicrous." Rep. Darrell Issa, ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has sent a letter to Earl Devaney, chairman of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, questioning whether he could certify the figures posted on the Recovery.gov website. Devaney will have a chance to defend himself Thursday, when he appears before the Committee.

Bombshell: Bin Laden worked for US till 9/11
Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).

In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained 'intimate relations' with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, "all the way until that day of September 11."

These 'intimate relations' included using Bin Laden for 'operations' in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These 'operations' involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner "as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict," that is, fighting 'enemies' via proxies.

As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from 'actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia') as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.

Control of Central Asia
The goals of the American 'statesmen' directing these activities included control of Central Asia's vast energy supplies and new markets for military products.

The Americans had a problem, though. They needed to keep their fingerprints off these operations to avoid a) popular revolt in Central Asia ( Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan), and b) serious repercussions from China and Russia. They found an ingenious solution: Use their puppet-state Turkey as a proxy, and appeal to both pan-Turkic and pan-Islam sensibilities.

Turkey, a NATO ally, has a lot more credibility in the region than the US and, with the history of the Ottoman Empire, could appeal to pan-Turkic dreams of a wider sphere of influence. The majority of the Central Asian population shares the same heritage, language and religion as the Turks.

In turn, the Turks used the Taliban and al Qaeda, appealing to their dreams of a pan-Islamic caliphate (Presumably. Or maybe the Turks/US just paid very well.)

According to Sibel:

This started more than a decade-long illegal, covert operation in Central Asia by a small group in the US intent on furthering the oil industry and the Military Industrial Complex, using Turkish operatives, Saudi partners and Pakistani allies, furthering this objective in the name of Islam.

Uighurs
Sibel was recently asked to write about the recent situation with the Uighurs in Xinjiang, but she declined, apart from saying that "our fingerprint is all over it."

Of course, Sibel isn't the first or only person to recognize any of this. Eric Margolis, one of the best reporters in the West on matters of Central Asia, stated that the Uighurs in the training camps in Afghanistan up to 2001:

"were being trained by Bin Laden to go and fight the communist Chinese in Xinjiang, and this was not only with the knowledge, but with the support of the CIA, because they thought they might use them if war ever broke out with China."

And also that:

"Afghanistan was not a hotbed of terrorism, these were commando groups, guerrilla groups, being trained for specific purposes in Central Asia."
In a separate interview, Margolis said:

"That illustrates Henry Kissinger's bon mot that the only thing more dangerous than being America's enemy is being an ally, because these people were paid by the CIA, they were armed by the US, these Chinese Muslims from Xinjiang, the most-Western province.

The CIA was going to use them in the event of a war with China, or just to raise hell there, and they were trained and supported out of Afghanistan, some of them with Osama Bin Laden's collaboration. The Americans were up to their ears with this."

Rogues Gallery
Last year, Sibel came up with a brilliant idea to expose some of the criminal activity that she is forbidden to speak about: she published eighteen photos, titled "Sibel Edmonds’ State Secrets Privilege Gallery," of people involved the operations that she has been trying to expose. One of those people is Anwar Yusuf Turani, the so-called 'President-in-exile' of East Turkistan (Xinjiang). This so-called 'government-in-exile' was 'established' on Capitol Hill in September, 2004, drawing a sharp rebuke from China.

Also featured in Sibel's Rogues Gallery was 'former' spook Graham Fuller, who was instrumental in the establishment of Turani's 'government-in-exile' of East Turkistan. Fuller has written extensively on Xinjiang, and his "Xinjiang Project" for Rand Corp is apparently the blueprint for Turani's government-in-exile. Sibel has openly stated her contempt for Mr. Fuller.

Susurluk
The Turkish establishment has a long history of mingling matters of state with terrorism, drug trafficking and other criminal activity, best exemplified by the 1996 Susurluk incident which exposed the so-called Deep State.

Sibel states that "a few main Susurluk actors also ended up in Chicago where they centered 'certain' aspects of their operations (Especially East Turkistan-Uighurs)."

One of the main Deep State actors, Mehmet Eymur, former Chief of Counter-Terrorism for Turkey's intelligence agency, the MIT, features in Sibel's Rogues Gallery. Eymur was given exile in the US. Another member of Sibel's gallery, Marc Grossman was Ambassador to Turkey at the time that the Susurluk incident exposed the Deep State. He was recalled shortly after, prior to the end of his assignment, as was Grossman's underling, Major Douglas Dickerson, who later tried to recruit Sibel into the spying ring.

The modus operandi of the Susurluk gang is the same as the activities that Sibel describes as taking place in Central Asia, the only difference is that this activity was exposed in Turkey a decade ago, whereas the organs of the state in the US, including the corporate media, have successfully suppressed this story.

Chechnya, Albania & Kosovo
Central Asia is not the only place where American foreign policy makers have shared interests with Bin Laden. Consider the war in Chechnya. As I documented here, Richard Perle and Stephen Solarz (both in Sibel's gallery) joined other leading neocon luminaries such as Elliott Abrams, Kenneth Adelman, Frank Gaffney, Michael Ledeen, James Woolsey, and Morton Abramowitz in a group called the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). For his part, Bin Laden donated $25 million to the cause, as well as numerous fighters, and technical expertise, establishing training camps.

US interests also converged with those of al-Qaeda in Kosovo and Albania.

Of course, it is not uncommon for circumstances to arise where 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' On the other hand, in a transparent democracy, we expect a full accounting of the circumstances leading up to a tragic event like 9/11. The 9/11 Commission was supposed to provide exactly that.

State Secrets
Sibel has famously been dubbed the most gagged woman in America, having the State Secrets Privilege imposed on her twice. Her 3.5 hour testimony to the 9/11 Commission has been entirely suppressed, reduced to a single footnote which refers readers to her classified testimony.

In the interview, she says that the information that was classified in her case specifically identifies that the US was using Bin Laden and the Taliban in Central Asia, including Xinjiang. In the interview, Sibel reiterates that when invoking the gag orders, the US government claims that it is protecting " 'sensitive diplomatic relations,' protecting Turkey, protecting Israel, protecting Pakistan, protecting Saudi Arabia..." This is no doubt partially true, but it is also true that they are protecting themselves too, and it is a crime in the US to use classification and secrecy to cover up crimes.

As Sibel says in the interview:

I have information about things that our government has lied to us about... those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.

Summary
The bombshell here is obviously that certain people in the US were using Bin Laden up to September 11, 2001.

It is important to understand why: the US outsourced terror operations to al Qaeda and the Taliban for many years, promoting the Islamization of Central Asia in an attempt to personally profit off military sales as well as oil and gas concessions.

The silence by the US government on these matters is deafening. So, too, is the blowback.

Nice article Luke. While not mentioned in this article, there is lots of reports on the web that Bin Laden had the alias Tim Osman when working for the CIA. This possibility is backed up by a comment made by John McCain on Letterman show in October 2001, when referring to Afghanistan and the Taliban, MacCain said "I think we'll get Tim and his people."
Seems like McCain was familiar enough with Bin Laden to call him, Tim.

Reports that trace back to one single story. From a source of dubious and unverifiable credibility.

It's called PROXY Warfare. The whole point is to use secondary or third parties. The US did employ some "unilaterals" in Afghanistan during the 80's like Jalaluddin Haqqani, but that's because he was a tribal figure. If UBL was handled by any intel agency it would have been by the Saudi's or Pakistani's.
