So the government wants to use the Immigration process to bring people into Atlantic Canada to fill the shortage of skilled workers that they themselves created the same shortage going back 30 years where Newfoundlanders had to leave their families, their homes and their province to seek work elsewhere in Canada to make a life for themselves!!

I am not against Immigration as this country was build by foreigners wanting a better life so they came to Canada is search of the dream but for years the gov’t hasn’t helped Atlantic Canadians with work, with funding, or with support to keep people from leaving all they love to find a job somewhere else in Canada.

I left the rock 17 years ago and it has only gotten worst since then with higher unemployed and more people leaving to start a life elsewhere in Canada. To you see a trend here?

Perhaps the gov’t should track down those who left and offer them incentives to come back home to work and share their skilled workermanship with others! If I was offered a good full time job I would be on the first plane back home. I miss the rock all the time and now that I have my own family here in BC, I would love to bring them home and start over where its safe and surrounded by family….food for thought PM!
