Position Summary:
The Manager of Analysis is responsible for managing the quality and accuracy of the data used by the Analysis Department for EMR reporting and general analysis. The Manager of Analysis accomplishes this by managing the data mart update, calculating the EMR adjustment data, and implementing controls on the data mart. Responsibilities also include managing automated reports published by the Analysis Dept and reports that are published on the company’s provider portal. The Manager of Analysis also supports Business Intelligence application development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Analysis/EMR data mart: schedule and request data mart updates, communicate data mart status to Analysis Dept, resolve any production issues with the IS Dept.
- Calculate and maintain the adjustment data which are estimates and offline amounts to be included in EMR reporting. This requires coordinating with the Finance Department to align the EMR adjustments with the General Ledger adjustments. Managing the EMR adjustments includes calculating the adjustments, reporting on value of adjustments, and uploading the adjustment data to the data warehouse.
- The Manager of Analysis is also responsible for managing data warehouse development projects with the IS Department. Projects working the the data warehouse group in the IS Dept are focused on correcting data errors, planning for business change, and updating structures and processes based on regulatory changes. These duties include submitting requirements, reviewing specification documents, developing test plans, and reviewing test data.
- The Manager of Analysis also is tasked with managing the automated reports used by the Analysis Deptartment. The automated reports include the reports on the company’s intranet and reports published to the company’s provider portal.
