Design Engineer II (Streator, IL)

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer II with electrical controls/multiplex and hydraulic systems design experience. Typical duties for this position would include:

Perform and/or coordinate engineering and design work for specific products and projects. Electrical controls/multiplex and hydraulics systems experience needed.

• Coordinate the development of layouts and design and/or modification in existing products, and information required for production use.
• Use engineering tools to analyze design to meet requirements for strength, noise, functionality, ergonomics, safety and quality.
• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers where engineering input is required to develop specifications for products and/or components.
• Develop project plans with input from engineering, marketing and production.
• Develop required documentation according to the FS EPG New Product Development Process.
• Coordinate project activity and report progress and status of projects as needed to the Strategic Product Planning Committee, engineering, marketing and production.
• Work with production, manufacturing engineering, lab supervision, marketing, service, and engineering personnel during the implementation of a project.
• Prepare and review complete engineering change packages, including BOM investigations per departmental procedures for completeness and accuracy.
• Use departmental CAD system and office software, to Vactor standards and procedures, at or above a level needed to perform typical duties.
• Participate in the cost reduction process as needed.
• Evaluate product or product modification to determine the degree of success of the product in terms of performance and user satisfaction. May include travel to the field and/or trade shows.
• Assist engineers and designers with required engineering expertise to complete design activities.
• Assist marketing in reviewing bid specification and requests for quotations as needed.
• Assist with identifying and implementing resolution of production and warranty problems.
• Assist Engineering staff in instructing others in interpreting the information supplied on detail drawings

Requirements for this position include:
• Bachelor's Degree (BSME, BSAE or BSEE)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in design and/or engineering and electrical controls/multiplex and hydraulic systems
• PRO-E experience

This position will work across business functions from within the Product Group to directly influence and drive low cost producer designs for transmission components. This position performs complex analysis work, identifies design problems and resolves problems. This position also identifies product cost reduction opportunities and leads supplier collaboration. Responsibilities include working closely with cross function organizations, such as, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics and suppliers to develop low cost producer designs.

I need a partner with $150k to acquire ajoining land next to mine as a 25% down payment to get the land under control/ownership. I have 3 architect willing to donate their services already, as equity share in the project but not the cash to acquire the land, with out the additional land I wont move forward with any development.
