They quote you a price and add yeast to it and it magically inflates

You deal with them several times and they can't remember your name or call you somebody else completely

They don't know what the hell they're talking about

Understand word of mouth is the oldest most reliable marketing tool y'all have so dig yourselves deeper all you want. The way you treat your so called customers will come back to haunt you. Be fair and upfront with folks, you want their business act like it or if you can't do it don't commit. There is no integrity in this business and this is why folks are so skeptical! I've met lawyers who were more reliable and trustworthy. Be careful how you treat people you never know who that person is you're supposedly helping, they might have been someone who couldve brought you more business

So to the 2 or 3 good mechanics thank you for cutting your prices trying to help us out and make a living and keep up the good honest work that you provide people and trust me it is appreciated. You will be rewarded some way and some how.

To the rest of y'all I know you have to make money that's understandable but you should pay us for the dis service you provide or stop advertising your dis services. With all the BS and aggravation it's worthjust going to a regular shop.

I REALLY need my car working again. It's a 99' Ford Taurus LX. I haven’t driven this car for about 2 yrs. The check engine light came on and was blinking. Then there was white/blue smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. There is a brand new starter in it and a brand new battery in it. I just need to find out what else is wrong with it and get it FIXED and that it wont cost me an arm and a leg to get it done.
I REALLY need a KIND HEARTED SOUL to help me out here. I do not make a lot of money. I work a part time job and not making enough for a baby and I to live on.....to top it off.....I'm going to have to take money that is to help us live ....to get my car working again. So I am really NEEDING some one that can work with me with the cost on getting it fixed.

I was told that the rings are bad.....and the labor into doing that work is what makes it cost so much to get it fixed. I beg, I plead for someone to help me. i have a 1995 nissan pathfinder with a sludge buildup in the oil pan. it is causing a knocking when the engine tries to pull oil back up into itself. i have owned this car for about 1 and 1/2 years and i've been taking good care of it. with regular oil changes i've been able to knock some these deposits loose and begin cleaning the engine up. now i've cleaned it enough that i need to pull the oil pan off and scoop this gunk out by hand. the problem is i have a 4wd and i'll need to remove the differential to get to the oil pan. i don't know how to do that. i'm a new grease monkey. i'm also just about broke.

if there is anyone, who just like tearing stuff up and would like to help me do this that would be great. having the know how would be really good as well. i'm willing to get as filthy as i need, i just lack the knowledge for this one. i can't really pay much, 30-40 bucks maybe. i doubt anyone is going to want to spend a day under a pathfinder with me while i ask a bazillion questions, but, if you are up for it, fire me an email. i'm in a bind and could really use some help.

Cold Air intake & Performance Intake Costomizations (Raleigh)

A Cold Air Intake is a modification good for any car. The idea is that cold air combusts faster and stronger than with regular air filters that suck the air closer to the engine and, and cold air intake filters are capable of taking in more air faster than making a car more capable and more efficient.

There is NO downside in getting a cold air intake installed.

you save gas, up to about 3mpg. gain more power, up to about 20hp. and intake filters do not require to be changed very often about 25,000 miles K&N filters requires it be changed or cleaned every 100,000 miles!

you can buy a cold air intake already designed for your car that can cost several hundred dollars. reason being because some one already did the customizing for them but not the work!

I have put cold air intakes in cars for years and over those years ive seen lots of mistakes people make when they try to do it themselves when they do it for the first time. If you dont know what your doing you can end up causing serious damage to your engine.
so don't go out on a limb just to save a few dollars at the expense of your engine. get it done RIGHT

even something as big as computer chips and ECUs are capable of only 0-5hp even when they claim over 20.

I am reposting my add on here because I have restructured as well as changed My company name from J&C automotive repair to Exley Mobile Auto Repair. For those of you that do not know me I have worked on cars since I was 14yrs old I have worked for PEP BOYS and a few other Auto repair shops in the area. The only things that I can't do out in the field are engines and transmissions unless the vehicle can be brought to my house or you have a place that this type of work can be done. I have the tools the only thing that I ask if it is a rush job. If I am not avalible or I am to busy with other jobs I know other good mechanics that could use the work and are also reasonable. The price of labor runs 45.00 per hour. with a 45.00 minimum. I will also work by the job depending on what it involves. I typically let my customers pick up their own parts because I don't get off at my regular job until 4 pm. I don't mark up my price on parts. In the past I have had issues with people getting me to diagnose their car and then them fix it theirselves or get a friend to do it I am a very honest and hard working man but I have to make a living just like the next man so I do charge 10.00 to 20.00 dollars for my time and gas if I am having to drive to diagnose a car . We will take a check and will work with people that are honest as I will be with them.
